Solution: the distance between the two trains is 306miles. This is the total distance the trains will cover in order for them to meet.

Let the two trains be A & B

Recall that distance = rate x time ie D=RT.
Now let's calculate or express the distance traveled by both trains A & B

Since Train A is moving at 95miles in T hours, it will cover a distance of 95 x T miles

Also, since Train B is moving at 75 miles in T hours it will cover a distance of 75 x T miles

Together the two trains A & B will cover a distance of 95T + 75T


From the question we know that the distance between them is 306 miles, we can express this in algebraic equation thus:

95T + 75T = 306

Solving the above equation we have:

170T = 306
Therefore, T = 1.8hours
This shows that the two trains will meet in 1.8hours.

The sum of the angles in a triangle always adds up to 180°

So, (5x)°+ (x+6)°+(2x-2)°=180°

(5x+x+6+2x-2)°=180°

5x+x+6+2x-2 = 180

Collecting like terms:

8x+4=180

Subtracting 4 from both sides we have

8x=180-4

8x = 176

Therefore, x =22

Substitute the value of x into each expression
(5x)° = (5 x 22)°= 110°
(x+6)°= (22+6)° = 28°
(2x-2)°= [(2 x 22) - 2]° =[44 - 2]° = 42°

Therefore,m<U = 28°, m<V=42° and m<W=110°

Notice that the sum of m<U, m<V and m<W sums up to 180°(sum of angles in a triangle)

ie. 28°+42°+110° =180°
