But the point is plain and clear - Kenya is well known for positive things across the globe. When Nigeria is mentioned, you'll always see the likes of Sudan, Somalia, and congo supplementing the list.

When Kenya is mentioned, you'll see SA, Egypt, and Rwanda alongside it.. You can't tell which country is known and which one is not, why? Your country has no brand.

Kenya has safari and the pride of Africa - these are international brands.

Lol pride of Africa, what a joke grin

Rvp you have the logic of an 8 yr old kid.
So you believe the stats about poverty capital and other negative statistics, but when it comes to positive ones you believe it's fake. How do you reason?
If you check the stats also Kenya was just few points below Nigeria agricultural and like Nigeria you are also a big food import nation. By your wierd logic then, Kenya stats should also be fake.
Mkenya2019:
The zoo - insecure, in complete darkness for 16hours every day, world poverty capital and lacking basic infrastracture, can never pain me. What pains me is Nigeria swallowing their gov data hook, line and sinker.

If you know anything about stats - it should be easy to tell us where you cooked agricluture data is derived from?

Pele, I can feel your pain from here. Take it easy.
Mkenya2019:
This genesis of all the cooking of Nigeria GDP. You can only believe such data if you're a nut case. Nigeria is world biggest food import. All those countries in that list are some world biggest food exporters.

Where does Nigeria get it's agricultural data? From GUESSWORK. The minister of Agricluture - now AFDB Chair - when asked didnt even know.

Kenya at least has formalized agriculture with many working crops boards - and we we also export lots of agriclutural products (about 250 items) - so there is some reliable data.

Nigeria Stats body just make wild guestimates...there is almost zero formal data in any crop in Nigeria.

Majority of Nigerians want to make it quick by any means. They don’t want to invest in the time and patience to learn and read. No investment in oneself.

Please can you mentor me on forex, I have been trying to learn it.

I once read Prof Paul Collier (Oxford proffesor) the bottom billion and he identified the 4 traps 1) Conflict trap 2) Landlocked trap 3) Natural resource trap and 4) Small country with bad governance. Nigeria is hobbled by Natural resource and conflict trap. But the rest of the bottom 15 generally have nearly all those traps - confining them forever to bottom of any index - Malawi, Burundi,CAR, South Sudan. Nigeria can easily get out of it's morass if it fixed their oil dependency - it's already a fledging democracy and name it. What they need to do is massively invest in education...especially in it's north.
Well sadly you are correct. The north is simply the bane of the country, the previous government built schools for them, yet still no effect.

It so bad that during the 90's, we had to stop educational development all in the name of allowing the north to catch up by introducing quota system. Still the north is still catching up.

even tho what I make now may not look enough to some of ya'll
but coming from a point of making zero naira to a point where I send money to family and friends and taking care of my all my bills in the uni, I think that's a good enough progress.
(freelancing on fiverr be my main source at the moment).
So I think now's time for PUA, spining plates or whatever y'all call it..
So like I said B4 i never had any girlfriend or some kind of sexual relationship with ladies. Since primary school...just a few friends now
And I feel the best time is now, still not sure how to go all bout it tho
But I'lll be glad if someone can mentor me on this shit, guess I'll develope faster. Anyone please.......??

So one more question, do you all discuss this stuff offline, because all the people around me seems to be so blue pilled, and online is the only place I find ppl with the rep pill mindsets..??

sorry bro I want to ask, is it advisable as a Nigerian to open fiverr account with ur real profile, or how did u go about yours

Head to youtube - and you can clearly see that
1) Abuja - the well-planned part is good - decent CBD albeit with more empty houses than occupied - with few organized estates for civil servants - but the majority live in slums like Mpape- and the city is almost empty. There is almost no middle class. No industrial area. Just big mosque and the rocks.
2) Accra - has a tiny central business district - a few middle class planned estates - and the rest I would call mostly lower lower middle class - just few inches from Kibra.

So all in all - Accra beats Abuja. Abuja is a dead lego city. Accra is a sprawling disorganized slumpolis.

Abuja situation is kind of intentional inflicted, in the sense that it seem top politicians don't want poor people in the city, so they intentional buy lands build estates and Jack up the price. A lot of poor pole have lost their lands (particularly the indigenous tribe there) and then most are forced to move to places like mpape.

Now to mpape is not really a slum more like an informal settlement but the FCTA wants to demolish it and then named it a slum under the guise.

Abuja has no plan of being an industrial region but more of a service based city.

Great. Why are south african police unable to deal with crime and drugs. Kenya criminals have no hope. There is just a long tradition of allowing police to extrajudicially execute criminals if they don't get lynched by public. I'd say Nairobi crime has really gone down.

In 2001 I read an autobiogaphy book by a Burkinabe Dagomba in 2001. It's not an ordinary book. He was maybe 10 years in the mid 50s when a French Catholic priest kidnapped him and literally carried him off to boarding school. I swear I've never read a book filled with voodoo and magic as this one whose title totally escapes me. I specifically rmbr one passage wherein his G father,a deliberately unwashed dude taught him to talk to chickens, before or after he killed a crow with a spell!?
He wrote of how all public events, weddings, funerals and feasts were used to exhibit black magic: as you can guess this is all rooted in envy and malice not the desire to help and develop the community. When his G papa died a once in a lifetime ceremony for surviving family was carried out involving an upside down celebration on the roof of his hut!?
Anyway, these guys who originated in N Naij are also found in N Gh where as of 2000 they numbered some 650k. I've no reliable figures but they're mainly nominally Muslim, with Christianity maybe 20% and 30% remain traditional. Here is a fire ritual for a dead blacksmith-the vid is real. A Dagomba is actually dancing in the flames that would give anyone else 3rd degree burns in a second.

https://youtu.be/P12b6j9dRtY

Imo,this is all that's effed up with W Africa. Instead of using their combined powers and those of chanelled entities for positivity its ALL to scare, harass and threaten. To make ill befall the innocent, sicken the unknowing and frighten unbelievers. None of these fire dancing niggas will ever say;"guys, why don't we use our occult powers to start an irrigation/sewage system? Find international markets for our yams, millets, beans and other typically 5th world agricutural goods? Start a school to teach the young nikkas CNC machining and AI production techniques?"

This may be why the phenomenon of witch camps is so prevalent in N Gh.

http://www.internationalbulletin.org/issues/2015-01/2015-01-019-kirby.html

However,as we've seen too many times already, the last 2 centuries of W African social history, invasion, colonialism, slave trading this voodoo is merely a natural outgrowth of a toxic socio cultural matrix, like mushrooms sprouting after the rains or the Serengeti post rains animal migrations.
All of us Africans to a certain extent suffer the same history but we've overcome much of the negativity by and large. In the West they've chosen to wallow in it and will never escape from their plight.

Mr Idiot we don't need your stupid pity, rather show it to your countrymen men running around with sticks.

GDP is not cash in the bank that Nigeria gov keeps in their CBN vaults; It's an academic exercise to guestimate the size of the economy;

What matters is the revenue that GDP generates for gov.

Egypt budget are now 100B plus
South Africa budget are 130B plus

Nigeria budget if you include states is not even 35B.

And Nigeria revenues are not even 20B - maybe 15B,

A GDP Of 420B cannot generate such revenues.

OVERCOOKED

Bro I think it's time you take a chill from Nairaland. Nigeria is not the cause of your misery in life
