Definition of chaos is Paris.

We were rushing for subway like ẹkọ Idumota.

They pushed me and pushed them back.

I fell on my wife, others fell on me.

This terrible and shameful

Its 30 days Number of Entries: Single entry. Visa Fees: 40Usd.

But that 30 days can be spread and not necessarily in one stretch within the visa Validity period

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate: 8:05pm On Dec 02, 2019
Sent in all required documentation and more but it has more to with the hotel cancellation. As the pickup email came the next day after my hotel booking was cancelled.

davodyguy:
Do you plan on reapplying?

As I do advise a lot of people, immigration officers are like HR Managers who don't know visa applicants and would require as much information they can get.

Australia and NZL visas are some of the most difficult visas to obtain.

In 2017 over 25 of us applied, they gave about 5 of us AU visa.

In June, 2019 About 10 of us applied, 6 were denied on first trial, but I was given with 3 others. 4 out of the initial 6 were also given on second application. We loaded their reapplications with more information

The only reason I can think of was overloading them with information, thanks to Femijck, a Nairalander. The guy is based in Auckland and was just giving advice as and when due.

I loaded the Immigration officer documents so tey, hmm no be small thing.

They just want to be sure you're not going to become liability by choosing not to return
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate: 7:49pm On Dec 02, 2019
Yea no one is above mistake but that goes to show how they treat applications wrongly. Same goes for the visa application number that’s wrong too.

davodyguy:
It's man made mistake.

Do you plan on reapplying?

What was the message given for the refusal?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate: 7:46pm On Dec 02, 2019
Point 2: the purpose of stay was not provided.

Was your visa denied?

Some Nigerian banks (due to risk of stolen cards) actually prevent online payment via cards. Zenith Bank does. They require second authorization before they debit for hotels in some countries
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate:
They did give a 24 hour grace and I funded the card immediately

quote author=OmoBendel24 post=84563655]

Thanks jare!

Didn’t they give you an option to update your card within 24hrs or so? They normally do though. Cases can be different however. I have had the opportunity to quickly change card (this was during that FOREX crisis period) and have them process whatever they wanted to process. Changed my Fidelity Bank naira card with my GTB USD card, and that worked perfectly.

There are times they even just take something small out of the card, maybe less than $5, just to verify your card, and they return it after sometime too.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate: 7:40pm On Dec 02, 2019
Yes , it was dated 19/02/2018 with a different visa application number.

davodyguy:
For real?
shocked
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mialate:

Read what’s on the site but call the hotel to ensure they have such an agreement with the said 3rd party.
davodyguy:
If you use the filter as I posited above, you can always find a couple of hotels or apartments that are free of charge even on Airbnb.

Before settling for one hotel in Istanbul a couple of days ago, I reserved 4 different hotels with Pay later option. I only cancelled more than 2 weeks after our choices have been made

See below quote. The hotel practically 'begged' that I cancel 1 out of two

see the terms below

Today being 2/12/2019, I could have waited till 13th December and still cancel for free and no prepayment made or card charged
Same for Frankfurt, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam hotel reservations

I didn't reapply. Probably this year. In the meantime enjoying Nigeria and other countries that grant SINGLES visas.
hajimuktar:
@Mialate My case is almost similar to yours,I was refused on being single, please did u reapply? and if u did how did u go about convincing d ECO dat u will will return back home?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mialate: 5:37pm On Apr 29, 2017
Thanks Solarium.I will get to writing.
Solatium:
There is no known format of doing that, just put pen to paper and write anything logical, your creativity and deep thinking can help you a great deal............A Quick look at Human rights and 1950 convention might be of help, you can look that up and let part of it for your basis of argument.here is some part of it which I culled out that can aid you.

Article 14 - discrimination
Article 14 contains a prohibition of discrimination. This prohibition is broad in some ways, and narrow in others. It is broad in that it prohibits discrimination under a potentially unlimited number of grounds. While the article specifically prohibits discrimination based on "sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status", the last of these allows the court to extend to Article 14 protection to other grounds not specifically mentioned such as has been done regarding discrimination based on a person's sexual orientation.
At the same time the article's protection is limited in that it only prohibits discrimination with respect to rights under the Convention. Thus, an applicant must prove discrimination in the enjoyment of a specific right that is guaranteed elsewhere in the Convention (e.g. discrimination based on sex - Article 14 - in the enjoyment of the right to freedom of expression - Article 10). It has been said that laws regarding familial sexual relationships (or incest) are in breach of Article 14 when combined with Article 8. [26]
Protocol 12 extends this prohibition to cover discrimination in any legal right, even when that legal right is not protected under the Convention, so long as it is provided for in national law.

Yea. How do I go about the review thing because he or she needs to change that mindset. Thanks
ekpotek:
@Mailata. I absolutely agree with@Solatium that you should write for a review. Eventough they may not over turn the ECO decision, the review will be kept in your file for future reference in case you apply again.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mialate: 10:17pm On Apr 28, 2017
In fact very discriminatory and the ECO took the decision on Saturday (22nd April) didn't know they work on Saturdays. Apparently he or She didn't go through my scanned documents just decided looking at my online application. And dropped full name on my refusal note.
Solatium:
This is discriminatory,it has never been heard anywhere that you are denied a visa based on your marital status,i'm cork sure if it were based on sexual orientation this would have sparked some outrage......Do not reapply without asking for a review on this
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mialate: 10:12pm On Apr 28, 2017
Thanks Ekpotek very petty I must say but oh well life goes on.
ekpotek:
@Mialate. Sorry to hear about your refusal. It is very painful after one have put in everything to make it work. The reasons for the refusal is petty as I know a lot of single applicants getting visa. It's just hard luck.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mialate: 1:35pm On Apr 28, 2017
Thanks house cc Ekpotek I have picked up and was refused Refusal point1: I am single with no dependent children (please who wants to marry so we can apply together next year >: grin)
Point 2: I havent shown any economic tie to Nigeria except my pension savings. He or she isn't satisfied that at the end of my visit I would return home. Also stated I intend to spend 1670 pounds (flight n local transport 690.living expenses 200. Ibis budget hotel 780) kindly note salary 282, 000 after tax n pension. Account balance N 2.388.000.
Hmmmm. Thank God my passport came home safely.
It visited on my behalf. quote author=mialate post=55979858]Thanks Ekpotek. I will do that. God bless you
I got a mail 3hours ago that "unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible" Someone once said once you get this mail, its usually denial. Still keeping my hopes up.
