You should not book any Flights till you get the visa.

Use your cover letter to explain the benefits and breakdowns so the visa officer can understand better.

Maame4U:
Thank you @mialate.
Actually my feeding is also covered so would you advise I book proper flight tickets with good refund policy to reduce my costing?

Since the internship comes with some benefits , you may not require the same daily Living cost. You would however need to consider Flight expense and Feeding.

You can request for an internship letter stating the benefits you would be assisted with. This would further reduce your costing.

1. You are an adult hence cant be sponsored ..

PLEASE HELP!!!
Hello Nairaland Gurus! I posted this on the Germany thread but haven’t received any helpful response yet as it not as active as this thread. Please help!

I have been given an offer for an internship in Germany for the Summer.

It comes with weekly stipends, accommodation and board.

My worry now is my proof of funds. I work in the government sector and I have inflow here and there but I don’t think it is enough(per Germany’s daily requirements).

So my question is apart from the Supporting documents from the German company:
1. Can my parents provide their bank statements to support me? Or
2. Can a relative in the Schengen region send me supporting documents?

PS: I have travel history to the Schengen area, U.K. and the UAE.

He got a Tourist visa then he should have no Concerns.
Follow the steps
1. Book a round trip to france from Lagos .

2. Go to the bank for your PTA.

3. Get to France: visit the places stated on your itinerary. Use Google ...

4. Visit our schengen countries if you wish and return back to Lagos.

You need a Tourist visa, they can get you an invite from Mairie (Town Hall) where they reside to visit as his Father.

Include evidences of marriage as well as child's birth certificate amongst other documents.

amirade00:
Hi everyone,

Please I need your help. I have a son who lives in France with his mother and he’s going to school there. He has his DCEM document. I would like to visit him as they are currently in holiday right now, how can I go about it and what type of visa do I need to apply for. Also, I have my CAC which is 2 directors 50/50.

Do you think I’ll stand a better chance of obtaining a France visa ?

I have only been to Kenya and Cotonou as my previous travels

"Nigeria". It is open to all the Western countries for non-essential travel. I don't plan to travel from Nigeria but from the UK.

Update: I just read that anyone from anywhere can travel there now as long as the person is fully vaccinated. I'm female by the way.

If you are in lagos ,Please go to their office :South Atlantic Petroleum Towers, Adeola Odeku St, Victoria Island .

Sometimes they just dish out some funny information without proper reasoning on the phone.

Since you are yet to book your flight check other airlines with less hassles.

lawali:

My people, I got my passport today with 3-months visa from France. Thank God that phase is over.

I have an issue that I need clarification on. I called KLM to confirm if I can use this short stay visa to connect flight to UK (I have UK visa already) instead of transit visa but was surprised to be informed I have to get transit visa if am just connecting but not entering France.

I don’t know if this statement is correct because the lady that responded has to talk to someone b4 giving me feedback.

I am actually tight on time for this journey and don’t have luxury of spending some days in France b4 jetting out to UK. More so, I am trying to avoid stress of collecting my bags and rechecking them in later.

I can’t book my flight yet as am confused on this.

Kindly substantiate/debunk this KLM statement or advise. Thanks

Try to be Calm, its always a Hurdle for Visa applications from this part of the world. The letter to the Embassy is the invitation letter for visa application. Pauline did state it can be done.

Easy Peasy,They send 1 to the French Embassy and 1 to you.

Next time just say Africa, its clicks faster for them..

Good luck.

If there's an early apppointment date sure you can reapply.
He is not a Minor, Include Mamita's and his bank statement no matter the bank balance and do a letter why his mamita is sponsoring him.

Establish the relationship between them.

Fehintolajones:
Thank you for replying

She is the one that sponsored his UK Visa Application with the same statement.

He is just 21yrs old

A student.

The other airlines are really very expensive

Can he reapply?

What can he do differently?

Thanx

You can fill the form and put together all they need. They would have to go to VFS to submit themselves.

Stress using Airfrance as they are elderly ,your best bet would have been BA or Virgin.

Hello everyone. My parents plan to travel to England and they are using Air France. They are going to need a transit visa. How can I help them get it, and also since they're elderly, can I get it done for them, especially in person at the visa application centre?
Thank you in advance.

Congrats DCloveth, your UK visa helped in your case.

Its important to state if you have or have had a Visa from the UK, US or Canada but a first time applicant to the Schengen region.

I think this will help the first timers understand better what is obtainable.

I got my France 3months visa via ups today.
Submission date: 30 March 2022
Visa issued: 1st March 2022
It took them just 1 day to process my application. My advice is try not to waste money if you are a first time traveler. But then, that shouldn’t stop you from trying, anything can happen.
GOODLUCK guys

2. Do I do tourist or Business? (The Conference is for 1 week only).
