In a family, which I will rather describe as dysfunctional, has a father & mother (Separated but not divorced), 4 children (all men, all married but one). The root of the matter is: The mother found out her husband had children from three previous marriages and did not tell her before tying the knots. All hell was let loose as the marriage was a domestic violent one. This caused bad blood between the whole family and it eventually led to the mother leaving the house with 3 of her 4 children, leaving one with her husband. Up till this day, the bad blood still persist with everyone helpless on how to reconcile the whole family. The children have tried to settle them, but to no avail. Close relatives also have tried. This issue has spanned over 30 years now. Part of the problem is 2 of the 4 children don't have a good relationship with the father as they both see him as a devil they need to flee from. The 2 children allege that their father has placed curses on them severally. They point out that he talk too much, nag too much, talk too loosely and badly about them to people, even strangers. So they don't see him as their father. One of the children is doing well but wont forget about all the curses placed by his dad. The second one is not doing well: Very grandiose, carefree, spendthrift, aggressive, jealous, envious, paranoid and can't hold a job for a day. In fact, his own kids were taken from him because he abused his wife. In fact, the parents are getting old and are not happy about the turn of event as they tried to talk to the 2 children but the children would not want to see or talk to their father. The father always accuse his wife of turning his children away from him. The step children and parent are not helping either. Please, how do we all proffer a solution(s) to this disfunctionality? |
While its true, being spiritual doesn't mean your always positive, it does mean that your aware of the invisible/spiritual side of life which is where all the energy manifests from. Once your aware of that side you know when people attack with negativity or situations turn out undesirably its just an invitation to join the self weakening party of negativity, you become aware that anything outside of yourself which places you in a negative state is weakening you and you do whatever you can to avoid that state. While we may slip into negativity here and there the goal is to remain in a positive place as to not weaken our personal energies. What do you think guys? |

In my own opinion I don't think men or women are better at cheating I think women do pay attention to detail, so that's why they don't get caught as much, BUT... I also think that is why men do get caught...not because they don't do it well, but because women again... pay attention to detail, so she picks up on everything when a man cheats, and will find out. |

That is an injustice of the highest order to think that when their spouse is on "heat", then they will demand for it. |
You might find it strange in the modern world why some married couples find it a big issue to demand sex from their partners. But of course, it does happen. I have noticed this to be particularly common with the women folks as they give reasons Like, "Oh, my hubby may think I am cheap", "my mother actually tells me it is wrong", and so on and so forth. Many of them have forgotten that sex is one of the pillars that hold a marriage together and if demands are not made of his/her attention, you are simply saying you can do without them. So what is the fuss/confusion in making demand for sex from your hubby? |
The American Doctors Association has given out answers for the causes of cancer. 1. Do not take tea in plastic cups. 2. Do not eat anything hot in a plastic bag e.g. chips. 3. Do not heat foodstuffs in a microwave using a plastic material. Remember when plastic gets into contact with heat, it produces chemicals which may cause 52 types of cancer. Please inform your loved ones so as to be free from such effects. |
Some people enjoy talking but are unaware of the rules that guide conversations. Here are some rules to observe when you engage in discussions with people Listen more It is often said that to be a good conversationalist, you have to be a good listener. That is to say that the key to a good conversation is not in the talking, but in the listening. Avoid being self-centred in conversations. You can ask intelligent questions and offer brilliant advice to people only when you listen more. Also, simple gestures like focusing on who is talking, nodding your head, and adding little exclamations at appropriate moments, show the other party that you are interested and involved in the discussion. Be prepared Before you start a conversation with someone, ensure you are prepared on what to say or at least how to kick-start it. Do not start up a conversation and fall short of what to say or get lost in the middle of it. Think about the things that will probably interest people you converse with and look for some background information on the topic of discourse or the people. Tailor the conversation It is better to discuss certain topics with people you are familiar with. The people you meet for the first time may have reservations about certain topics and may not feel comfortable discussing them with you. Avoid awkward topics or arguing with the other parties. Don’t dominate A conversation involves two or more people sharing opinions and ideas about a particular topic. It is a dialogue and not time for monologues. If you are in charge of the conversation and have talked for a few minutes without any questions, comments, or general signs of life from other people, cede the floor to someone else and give them room to share their own perspective on the topic of discourse. Do not monopolise the conversation. Think first Some mistakes are made in conversations because people fail to think before they speak. Sometimes, in the course of a discussion, they could utter annoying words to the other parties. To avoid offending people during conversations, don’t blurt out statements out of anger or without thinking. You could avoid further disagreements by sieving your thoughts before speaking them out. Don’t interrupt When you are involved in a conversation, give people the opportunity to air their opinions because they are entitled to it. Do not interrupt anyone; wait until they have stopped talking before you start. Interrupting a person’s thought or speech sounds rude and could send the discussion off into another tangent. This also applies to telephone conversations. When you are interrupted, the polite thing to do is shut up and not go back to the conversation except you are asked to. Be liberal When there are more than two people involved in a conversation, be sure to involve everyone in the discussion. Do not take sides or prefer a particular person for the conversation. Also, be sure to choose subjects which everyone has an interest in, so they can contribute to it. That makes people have a sense of belonging. Don’t overshare Having a conversation with someone, especially when you need an advice on a particular issue does not mean you should reveal your entire life as soon as you start the discussion. If you would reveal a certain amount of information about yourself, ensure you do that with someone you feel safe with and can trust. Revealing too much personal information could cut across as an act of desperation and repel people. Respect privacy It is good that people trust you enough to tell you their secrets but do not sound nosey or desperate by probing for too much information, especially when they do not feel like revealing more. Don’t dig too deeply into their personal life. If they are comfortable talking about the particular issue again, let them bring it up at their own pace. If they don’t seem willing to discuss it any further, change the subject. http://nigeriamasterweb.com/paperfrmes.html |
There are many things which we don't do nowadays because of advancement of the technology. 1. Nowadays we don't use doorbells, we just text or call when we reach at someone's house. 2. We don't write letters, I mean I'm 15 and haven't ever written a single letter to anyone. 3. With the invention of mobiles, people have just stopped using telephones. 4. We have stopped going out with friends, we are just busy chatting with them on Facebook or Whatsapp. 5. We don't use telephone directories, instead we just store everyone's number in our mobiles. 6. Earlier, you might have seen children playing outside, nowadays kids are just busy playing games on their computer and gaming consoles. Feel free to add yours...... |
I'm an african but I and my siblings live abroad. We are a proud people with wonderful culture and tradition. Most importantly we have identity. Without it what does one really have? Who are you? Identity gives you a sense of belonging in this world. It gives you the motivation to live and do the right things in you and your family's lives. I am sorry to say this but someone has to say it. I can not understand why some of our people go out of their way to imitate akata behavior? What is the value and or the attraction in it? I know akata people who tell me that they wish that they have the tradition and culture that we have, mainly the fact that we know who we are as africans. There is envy there too. Why is it that a lot of us don't seem to appreciate our God given heritage instead some of us are trying so hard to copy the akatas. A smart and wise person would want to emulate good things that they see around them, rather than embrace the worst. If you want to impress people, impress them with your best. So talking, acting and living like akata to me is sad. I used to believe that we knew better, was I wrong? Which akata is running around trying to be like us? |
Well I have thought that at times myself and think then it is the food, the pollution, the many harmful things in our modern world that are implicated in people dying young. Yet if you look back into history the death rate of the young was high as well....In fact I once read and I do not have statistics that the reason for our increasing world population is more to do with fewer people dying young than it is an increase in the birth rate. |
