All these people can never be trusted! Gone are the days Igbos have respected, upright and honorable leaders, in the likes of late Ikemba Ojukwu, Emeka Anya Oku (old), late Prof. Chinua Achebe, late Onunaka Mbakwe, late Michael Okpara, late Alvan Ikoku, late Okadigbo, Alex Ekwueme (old), Nwafor. Orizu, late Prof. Dora Akunyili, etc

Igbos are better of in Nigeria than being led by the present corrupt, power-hungry Igbo politicians of today, especially people like Rochas, Ngige, Orji Uzor Kalu, Pius Anyim and co.

These set of Igbos politicians will only finish off the little good in Igbo land once given Biafra.

So before Igbos think of Biafra, they should strive to produce honest, trustworthy politicians that all Nigerian tribes can trust and vouch for and not with the present thieves they have now.

For instance, if Igbos are to produce the next president of Nigeria, who can Igbos nominate to represent them that won't fall their hand

It's high time honest, honorable and straightforward young Igbos like me start to prepare ourselves and position ourselves to represent Igbos in Nigerian national politics rather than wasting our time agitating for Biafra in the wrong way.

As an Igbo person who knows the Biafran vision, I wan a Biafra freedom without war, violence or military aggression. 

I want a Biafra that will not secede today and start another internal war tomorrow due to power tuzzle and greedy leaders.

I want a Biafra that will be founded on science and technology and not rely on crude oil or other natural resources.

I want a Biafra that will give the Igbo youths enough hope and a promising future that will stop the Igbo youths from traveling to Asian countries to peddle drugs!

I want a Biafra that will turn majority of the Igbo youths to productive technicians, scientists, engineers, medical professionals, global entrepreneurs, technological innovators and inventors, and not chief crime leaders!

How can Igbos achieve all these By dropping the Biafran agitation agenda and embracing Nigeria with all their heart and working with other tribes to gain national relevance and trust...and by establishing foreign alliance with trusted nations and politicians, and not by carrying placards with hateful words....and getting killed by unprofessional Nigerian military that are only trained to torture and shoot at unarmed civilians‎.

The Amanyanabo of Okrika kingdom has a lot of oil wells situated in his kingdom. He has no oil well. But the Sultan of Sokoto has over 10 oil wells in Niger Delta. The Amanyanabo of Bonny in Niger Delta has oil wells in his kingdom, but he has no oil well to his name but The Emir of Kano has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. The Amanyanabo of Kalabari has so many oil wells in his kingdom but has no oil well to his name in his kingdom but the Emir of Gwazo has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. In Ogonilands there are so many oil wells but none of the kings in Ogonilands have any oil wells but General Danjuma has over 10 oil wells in Ogonilands. The list can go on but Niger Delta people and their kings don't have oil wells . Such a situation, will you say it is fair to the Niger Delta people in Nigeria? are you still asking what the Avengers want??Did you support this injustice??

Fun my foot! Fun in hell? Is pure idolatory especially going to pay visit to the shrine. I used to attend it when we were small from Enugu. Pure Christianiy is enough for the igbos. Let them stop these uncivilised traditions. We have better traditions to revived. I hope they are not copying the osun oshogbo festival which in a way is making that part of country more backward. Let them stop reviving that shi*t of culture called imoawka. We have other great cultures and way of life to revive. Feelers coming from both the upper and lower houses of the nation's legislature indicate that laws will be made to create a public holiday nationwide to commemorate this day in history.

According to one senator who pleaded anonymity, "Even cowards deserve to have a day for which they be remembered. Some political office holders who failed to stand up to their mandate even with the whole support and millions of votes from across the nation should be immortalised on this day in history"

True. The Ikwerre are hyped in importance sometimes. The only thing that gets to me is that any Nigerian who meets an Ikwere will never believe he is not Igbo ( by name and language) and whatever they do will always affect the Igbo nation, wether positive or negative.

The event, termed “Buharimeter” was organized by Centre for Democracy and Development and was conceived with idea of assessing the one year in office of President Buhari and his administration.

Also in attendance are Babatunde Fashola(Power,Works, and Housing) Audu Ogbeh (Agriculture and Rural Development), Amina Mohammed (Environment) and Udo Udoma (Budget and National Planning).

Lai Mohammed went on to describe the #BuhariMeter as a good idea and a great way for government to interact with the governed.



He said, “Long before the first year anniversary we had embarked on our own town hall meeting to give the citizens feedbacks on our achievements.

“The first one was held in Lagos.

“Any meaningful assessment must be situated within the right context

“We campaigned on three broad areas, corruption, revamp the economy and security.

“Have we met our targets? If you ask me, I will say we are on track.

“Insecurity: The most daunting security challenge we faced when we came in was the Boko Haram challenge. Today it had receded and it is not by accident.”

He then talked about how Buhari fought back against the insurgents.

Mohammed also spoke on corruption and how it has threatened to undo all the good work put in so far in the first year,

“It was corruption that prolonged the war against Boko Haram.

” It was corruption that gave nigerians darkness instead of light, despite sinking millions of dollars into the sector.

“The money recovered so far is a tip of the iceberg.”

He also spoke on the economy and how they’re trying to make things better on that front.

The #BuhariMeter town hall meeting is still ongoing with the other ministers also giving their appraisal of how things have gone so far.
