Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in last Saturday Governorship election, Pastor Ize-Iyamu, has called on Governor Godwin Obaseki to return to his former party, APC. In a television broadcast on Wednesday night, Ize-Iyamu said, “We are going to talk to everybody. We are going to bring everybody back. I want to salute my brother, the governor. I will like to appeal to him to return to the party. In every family, we have a disagreement. “Let it not be said that it was this disagreement that pushed him out. I made that mistake before and I have come to realise that it was a grievous error and I will not want him as a senior brother to make the same mistake. “I will like to appeal to him to set aside his anger and come back. In APC, he is recognised as a leader and it would be difficult for him to be recognised as a leader in the new party he is going to. For members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Ekiti state, the future of our great party appears bright but at the same time bleak. Bright, if stakeholders in the party, especially those who are currently working against the interest of our all-time leader and oracle of election victory in Ekiti, Peter ‘the Rock’ Ayodele Fayose, quickly readjusted and accept Fayose as the leader in the interest of all. Bleak if the so called Ekiti PDP Repositioning Movement, being promoted by Senators Biodun Olujimi and Duro Faseyi and other members in their marriage of inconvenience continue to hold on to the jugular of the party. While I will not dwell much on what qualifies Fayose for the party’s leadership, because the reasons are obvious, I want to use this piece to appeal to Senator Olujimi to quickly look back before the house she built crumbles on her. A pragmatic, nice, and committed loyal party leader, it is on record that it was Olujimi that singlehandedly head-hunted hundreds of party leaders, who had left PDP before Governor Fayose ended his second term in office, back into the fold of Ekiti PDP, following the party’s colossal loss in 2018. Kwara APC Gov Candidate, Abdulrazaq, In Forged WAEC Certificate Scandal, Risks Disqualification February 8, 2019 DailyBells Newspaper 0 Comments Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Kwara APC Gov candidate, WAEC Certificate forgeryEdit The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has been caught in a messy scandal that could see him disqualified as the flag-bearer of the ruling party in the March 2 gubernatorial election. Abdulrazaq, an oil magnate, THE DAILYBELLS NIGERIA can authoritatively report, is in the eye of the storm for allegedly submitting a forged West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate as his only academic qualification to the Independent National Electoral Commission. Contrary to Abdulrazaq’s claim in the form submitted to INEC office, along with the forged WAEC document that he graduated from Government College Kaduna in 1976, findings showed that the Kwara APC flag bearer dropped out of the school in 1975. Documents seen by THE DAILYBELLS NIGERIA showed that the forged WAEC certificate with the Candidate Number 10514119 and Certificate number SC180683 has the name simply written on it as Razaq A.R. The name Razaq A.R. with the two initials as written on the WASCE certificate is contrary to the standard of WAEC. It was, however, learnt from WAEC office in Lagos that the examination council had an established practice of writing at least two full names on every dully issued certificate to the owner of the certificate to avoid confusion of two or more people with the same initials laying claim to the certificate. No credible examination body, WAEC inclusive, would allow for more than one abbreviation as a candidate’s name, it was learnt. Further findings showed that one Razaq A. R. on the list of 1976 graduands of the Government College Kaduna is a different person, a classmate of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who finished from the school and wrote the WAEC examinations. Curiously, a testimonial purportedly issued to him by the school (under the Government College Management School Board Kaduna) dated 19 November, 2014, which was also submitted to INEC office, bears his full name, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. One of those who finished from the college in 1976, a retired military officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq was his school mate but insisted that the Kwara APC gov candidate did not complete his secondary school year five as was the system then. Again, the WAEC certificate Abdulrazaq submitted to INEC office has certificate number SC 180683 for the WAEC Examination of June, 1976. This number is higher that another certificate issued by WAEC for June, 1979, which as the certificate number: SC144946. It is understood that when Abdulrazaq contested and "won" the Kwara State gubernatorial primary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011 against Air Commodore Ayuba Buhari (retd.), Abdulrahman was dragged to Ilorin High Court by the Air Commodore on the basis that he (Abdulrazaq) has no constitutional required qualification to be the gubernatorial flagbearer of the party. The protracted crisis rocking the All Peoples Congress, APC may have finally reached its climax as a new faction known as Reformed-APC (R-APC) has emerged. The new faction, made up of aggrieved members of the APC, mostly from the National Assembly, has appointed Buba Galadima as its National Chairman. Briefing journalists after their meeting at the Sheraton Hotels in Abuja on Wednesday, the chairman, Galadima, said the new faction was formed due to the failure of the APC. Galadima described APC as “severely underperforming and unable to meet its potentials for good governance.” “We are sad to report that after more than three years of governance, our hopes have been betrayed, our expectations completely dashed. The APC has run a rudderless, inept and incompetent government that has failed to deliver good governance to the Nigerian people. “It has rather imposed dictatorship, impunity, abuse of power, a complete abdication of constitutional and statutory responsibilities, infidelity to the rule of law and constitutionalism. “It has failed to ensure the security and welfare of our people and elevated nepotism to unacceptable height. The APC has failed to deliver on its key promises to the nation. There is no evidence of any political will to reverse the decline of our party, while leaders who have created these circumstances continue to behave as if Nigerians owe our party votes as a matter of right.” http://dailybells.com.ng/politics/finally-apc-collapses-as-aggrieved-members-form-r-apc/04/07/2018/
