When those suffersticated urchins say Igbos only sell gala in trafics, I just laugh heartily at their willful ignorance.
The same Igbo's you see hawking gala in your town, check them out in two or 3 years time and they'd have rented shops and in 5 years, they'd buy up lands in your place, while sending funds to their villages to develop them.
This is why there's Eze ndi Igbo in almost all parts of the world. It's for cohesion and mutual development.
Hell! these guys practically built Igbo land and environs from scratch with just 20 pounds after the war.

Till today Ilorin is a Yoruba Town More than 90% of the indigenes are Yoruba

My Mother was born and raised in Ilorin my Cousin's are still there

All Civilians Governors of Kwara have been Yoruba

The ruler of Ilorin when the British arrived was a Yoruba man Called balogun alanamu .

The last Emir Momoh had been defeated by the Yoruba Chiefs and had burnt himself alive inside his Palace

Ilorin has Fulani Presence only because the British reimposed the defeated Emir on Ilorin around 1900

Before that balogun Yoruba (Inakoju alanamu) was the actual ruler of Ilorin.

The Emir had been deposed by the Ilorin Yoruba Chiefs before the British arrived.

balogun alanamu fought the British and was exiled to Jebba after the British defeated him.

It was the British that reinstaled an Emir in Ilorin after the defeat of balogun Yoruba Inakoju alanamu due to Political Pressure from Northern Emirs .

The Emir of Ilorin had been defeated and deposed by the Ilorin Yoruba Chiefs before the British arrived.

The British left at Independence after an agreement was made to have a referendum Kwara State.

The Post independence Government of Balewa and Azikiwe frustrated that referendum by not carrying out the Kwara referendum which should have happened at the same time as the Midwest referendum in order to cripple Awolowo and his Party Politically after Awolowo had been jailed in 1962

Balewa and Azikiwe also didn't Carry out the other referendums agreed with the British before independence meant for the Eastern and Northern Minority Ethnic groups.

Ilorin still has an Emir because of Colonial and Tribal Politics


There are at least 30 Towns with Crowned Obas that Completely encircle Ilorin

Ilorin is Practically a Yoruba Town

The Emir is not Fulani but Hausa

And they were Yorubanised at least a Century ago


Ilorin and Kwara are Yorubaland

The term 'Ijaw' these days, is a political construct, just like 'Niger Delta'.
When you find yourself living close to the river and you have oil, then you're definitely 'Ijaw'.

I supported Buhari over GEJ because the latter had lost the plot and Nigeria was on the verge of collapse. I was earning in Naira just at the end of GEJs rule. Buhari came in and at the start of his rule, my earnings became foreign currency. My earnings quickly tripled and even quintupled because of Buhari's failure in economics. Not saying this to boast but thats exactly what happened. But I am still objective enough to know that Buhari is a TOTAL FAILURE despite adding to my pocket.

Because I had engagements with some political bigwigs in the North in 2019, I kept asking them why Northerners were supporting Buhari in 2019. It was obvious the man had failed and was out of ideas. I was bluntly told that the North don't trust Atiku and they will still prefer to vote Buhari again. Despite being naturally APC inclined, despite supporting APC in 2015, I was objective enough to know Atiku would have improved Nigeria in 2019 because it was a new person... New ideas. The GEJ excuse and Saraki Senate President excuse that Buhari had been touting had worn thin.

Finally if you ask my thoughts on 2023. Nigerians claimed to vote for Mr Integrity- Buhari under whose regime corruption has flourished and he pardoned 2 convict Governors. Now Mr Integrity didnt work out. Let's try " the battle of the crooks" Tinubu and Atiku have bad reputations for fiscal accumulation a.k.a embezzlements alias thievery. But they have the requisite agbero nature to deal with Nigerians who also love to behave like ruffians. Either man will win and though Nigeria wouldn't become USA overnight but either man will definitely be better than Buhari.

Northerners wouldn't vote for Obi...that's the fact. He wouldn't win a single state there. So how can he be President?

Just look at someone's reason for supporting a candidate after admitting that the one he supported before was a huge mistake...
