It was Friday,9th of november
I had spent 4 days tryin 2 get cleared.
Today, I ws ready 2 lift auditorium up n down if i dnt get cleard.
I had woken up early,I wanted 2 get der very early,2 at least clear my suspicion dat som peepz sleep in d auditorium.
I got 2 skul as early as i cud.It ws stil dark,d auditorium gate was locked,I met jst a handful of pple(abj 20),I ws indeed early dis time.
Later,d gate ws opend n we entered d compound.We waited 4 som time cuz d entrance doors 2 d auditorium wer locked....dis time,pple startd getin more n more. Later,dey opend d entrance n pple startd running inside in a stampede inorder 2 get a sit.
I did follow d crowd,n I got a sit.
It ws a good Omen.
D next tin was 2 wait 4 d clearing officers to arrive.
Afta abt half an hour,they came.
Dey set up their desk n startd callin numbas...Bt she sed she'l call me 1st, I sed 2 a gurl by my side in disbelief.
Is it a bad tin 2 get admitted again? I tut.
It occurd 2 dat 2day,might end lik ystday.
Bt wen I tut I wudnt be cleared,I heared my surname.
I cnt rili describe d feelin,bt it ws lik gettin baptized by John himself.
I ran off my sit,as dos wit numbas stared at me,wonderin y I ws called instead.
Wen I got 2 d desk,evrytin happnd fast n I signd all d signables.
Wen dey wer abt printing my Eligibility slip,d printer developed a fault.N I sed 2 myself,who z d witch tryin 2 hinder my clearance?
Bt it dint tak 5mins n it ws fixed,my "Eligibility slip" ws printed out.I signed on it n ws told 2 make som photocopies n return two back to d desk.
I ran faster dan Bolt 2 mak d photocopies,as i ran,i ws smiling.D feelin ws d same as wen I saw "Admitted" on Kofa.
I brut d photocopies n gave them,as they kept singing,"Keep ur original Eligibility,dnt misplace it,u need it to graduate.
I had already submitted 2 files to them,wit 2 left wit me 4 faculty n dpmnt.I HAD NW CLEARED by Mr Okpokunu.
It ws stil early, abt 10am.
U'l tink dat's d end,bt d next ws faculty clearance.I jst finishd d auditorium stage.
Bt my faculty sed they'l start clearance d followin monday,I ws no longer laggin behind I ws back on track.
Bt had no idea wat d faculty clearance held 4 me.
