Is he willing to relocate with you because that might be the only this will ever work
at 24 you are still learning and discovering about who you are
Med school is no joke, you wont have time to focus on him or the relationship
Better to end things now because the honest truth is this will not work out
Health / Re: 8 Easiest Ways To Lose Weight by MickeyBricks(m): 6:43pm On Oct 02, 2012
pDude: Let me tell you the 2 easiest ways to burn fat.

1. Stop all carbohydrates intake.

2. Do not use oil when cooking.

Do this without reducing your food intake and see your weight drop in like a week.

While this will help you lose weight, it is better to cut down on you carbohydrates instead of completely eliminating them. Also stop eating any carbohydrates after 6pm.
This way you can get used to regulating how much you eat, because if you cut it out once you start eating it again you will just gain back all the weight

ogugua88: I dey laugh at this small okporoko boy. No be by force to flaunt anything. How long has he been in the music industry and how much has he made? He release album sef? No, yet he started a record label and is now flaunting cars. Small by small nwanne. Do not rush success.

Timaya flaunted a Bentley. P-Square flaunted four cars and a house. I Go Die flaunted a hybrid Escalade and Range Rover. Bracket flaunted two Range Rovers and a Mercedes. May D don buy 2011 Nissan Maxima and he wants us to be jumping I guess lol.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Paying To Get A Job : How Reasonable? by MickeyBricks(m): 10:44pm On Jul 31, 2012
livapul86: Only in Naija! Nne, I had a similar story to yours. After chatting with a middle aged man in my neighbourhood and lamenting my jobless state, he promised to contact his Inlaw, who he claimed was the Chief Security Officer for Shell in Port Harcourt. My eyes lit up, when he called me that his inlaw was willing to help me secure a position with Shell and that I should come over to his house for details. This man told me that his in law requested I pay #90k to get the job. On the spot I agreed to pay but with a better offer. I told him I was ready to give them 90% of my monthly salary for the first year as long as they got me the job. To buttress my seriousness, I offered to give him the original copies of all my Credentials as Collateral, just in case I try to default in payment. To cut the story short, the man called me that his inlaw didn't agree, as he said he needed the money upfront as Mobilization money. I just Ignored him.

Nicely done

lol @ mobilization money.
It just doesnt make any sense whatsoever to give someone money to get you a job, if it was that simple there wouldnt be so many jobless people around

Romance / Re: Issues With Dating Ladies In Early Twenties... by MickeyBricks(m): 5:37pm On Jul 27, 2012
acidtalk: *coughs and then sip a glass of water*

18months to settle down you say?
Now let's set your priorities straight and that of the lady in question.

The average Nigerian familt wants their daughter to get married after her first degree. The only two exceptions in this case are; The lady gets pregnant and her people are ashamed of her giving birth to the baby in their home or she is from an almost below average home (poor family background) as such they want her to go so that they can feed (minus one mouth) less mouth.

Secondaly most girls in this age bracket are not in anyway desperate to get married. They still see themselves as beauty queens because they sometimes get as much as 5-10 toasters everyday because of their youthful nature. This will make them assume they will remain 'hot cake' for ever and think there will always be that suitor waiting to get married to them whenever they are ready.

Except for few families which still nuture their female children, its almost common for most ladies within that age range to learn basic home chores in their boyfriend's place.

Though not in all cases, but if you are one who cares a lot about financial management and knowledge, most young ladies in that age bracket might not fit in. The want to get the latest phone, gadget, hand bag and fashion accessories to meet up with their peers. If you are not one of those guys that spend frivolously on a lady when it isn't relevant, she might term you stingy as won't consider settling down with you because she rarely knows what is the difference between necessity and wants.

Above all Intelligence, if you are a serous minded and fast thinker, it might be an hill task finding a lady that will match your intelligence. I am not talking of knowing latest music, movie or celebrity gist. I am talking of beneficial reasoning.

If you don't mind the above, then you can stick with them and groom them with patience. Otherwise maybe you should stick with the law of nature that "the older the wine, the better it taste".

Well said

@ OP this is all the advice you need right here, if you are just looking for fun then go ahead but if you want something serious you are probably wasting your time

Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo Wins Exorcism Slap Suit by MickeyBricks(m): 6:27pm On Jul 13, 2012
afam4eva: I'm not a lawyer and i have nothing personal against the person of Bishop Oyedepo. But this ruling reeks of 1diocy. This case is about the pastor and the lady that was slapped and not about the lawyer, so how does him not being in the church when it happened have anything to do with the ruling when the video is enough evidence to pass judgement. This is the reason why some of us have lost faith in the system because the system protects only the rich and thereby leaving the poor and unfortunate at the mercy of these people. I'm equally ashamed that some people who call themselves Christians will never see anything wrong with a pastor. Even if there pastor was caught molesting a 10 year old, they will defend him. They will even go further to quote a scripture in the bible that supports molestation in their opinion. It's only Chineke that will save us in this cesspit of a nation. AMEN.

Very well said, it seems like poverty and hardship has affected the minds of too many of our people. Most people cant reason like normal human beings anymore.

Business / Re: I Have Been Scammed! Read Fast!!!! by MickeyBricks(m): 5:12pm On Jul 11, 2012
2sexy: what make you think that you can't fall for scam. Bro, nobody is immuned to scam no matter how smart you are. Scam is heavly linked to TRUST. If I can make you trust me,i have the power to scam you if I wish to.
We are all exposed to all forms of scams--physical scam, monetary scam, emotion scam, interllectual scam and what have you?

So, don't think that you are save. It so unfortunate that this perpetrators are the FOOLS! If only they had the sixth sense to see what lies ahead for them in the long run. Pathetic if you ask me.

My guy that is the greed in you talking, if he knows a way to make money why would he share it with you instead of just making all the money for himself. Not to say that you cant be duped but if in this day and age you are still falling for this kind of scam you deserve what you get.

dazzlingvixen:

Some companies are so big that u can know anyone's salary if u know their job specification. Yet they are also so big that u can't easily find out who is where and where.

Didn't know it was possible for someone to know exactly how much you make when you work in the same company unless they are your boss or in HR.
Romance / Re: I Lied About Not Having A Job And He Ran by MickeyBricks(m): 8:59pm On Jul 10, 2012
dazzlingvixen: Let's face d raw truth:
Nigerian Love is very material dependent. Very few ppl get to experience real love with no strings attached. Its so bad now that our men even erroneously think that they must hammer big time before they hitch their real woman.

This is true.

One of the reasons for this is a girl might love you today while you are broke because she see's some potential in you but if you dont eventually make something of yourself either she will go elsewhere or constantly berate you for not doing anything useful with yourself.

The saying goes "love doesnt pay the bills".

As much as we like to think or say money isnt important or everything it always plays some sort of role in relationships.

Sadly this is where we are as a society.
