*APC 1:1-16*

Our Reading For Today Is Taken From The Book Of APC Chapter 1 Verse 1 To 16....

1. And it came to pass, when the Lord would punish Nigeria, that he gave them a president
under whose hand they were mightily oppressed.

2. Before he ascended the throne, he made them hope, with all manner of promises,
that he would bring them to the promised land before the coming year began.

3. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria grew restless with their good condition, and sorely
vexed the president under whose hand they had prospered, so that he would not have the office of the president again, but rather resented it.

4. In those days also the Boko haramites laid siege to the north, and slew of the people three and twenty thousand, intending to set up a kingdom which would be ruled by Islam.
.
5. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria remembered not the good deeds of Jonathan, but thrust him out of the throne, and made Buhari president in his stead.

6. Buhari was two-score and twelve years old when he began to reign. He reigned one and a half years in Nigeria, and the land became impoverished under
him and the hausites, the igbolites and yorubites began murmuring against the President.

7. But the President continued to persecute also a few of the people, accusing them and casting them into prison. Thus, the opposition was subdued, the people could not find bread and rice to eat and there was hunger in the land.

8. And the end became uncertain as there was
wailing and gnashing of teeth and as soon as the president heard this he began to travel around d the world and in the middle of his reign he launched a campaign to say to the people "Change begins with you.

9. And in those days, there came a disagreement between the president and his household. And the woman of his 'old age (not youth)' chastised him in a proverb saying 'he who the gods want to remove from position he first makes deaf', as he no longer listens to her.

10. In response to her, while in a far away land with the Germanites, he rebuked her and reminded her of her duties as a wife, saying "while he belongs to everybody and nobody, 'she belongs to the kitchen, the living room and the other room'".

11. And these sentences caused
uproar and division in the land, which greatly caused division in the land among its inhabitants..

12 Tell it not in Germany. Tell it not in the streets of Abuja, how art the mighty fallen? Knoweth thou not that Sai Buhari has goofed and it's now "to your tents oh Nigerians!

13. And it came to pass, the eleventh month in the year twenty fifteen, that the LORD sent forth an Ideology through the Son of Sergey, the Russianite whose name was Mavrodi.

14. For he shalt take the people out of slavery and deliver them out of poverty through that Ideology called MMM.

15. CBNites and SECnites shall gang up and fight against thee but thou shalt conquer.

16. And for ye thou follow MMM, thou shalt be safe and be delivered from slavery and poverty. Amen.

I have stopped listening to Ibos! ALL they do is complain about Hausa's and northerners.

Thankfully, there are some that are not as myopic as the multitude.

I concluded that ANY Ibo that talks bad about Buhari is filled with HATE, BITTERNNESS and REVENGE - which was created during the civil war. The Ibos have have unforgiving spirits.

I thank God that most of the Ibos with this grudge and hatred for the Hausa are the old Ibos. The younger ones have a little bit more subtle impression. But Hatred is still in their genes and DNA. ALL Ibos need to be purges off this HATE, BITTERNESS, REVENGE AND GRUDGE

I've read what a lot you have been saying bout this issue.
The truth remains, the worst that ever happened to a son is not to have a relationship with the father. It is maddening, agonizing, tormenting, psychologically demeaning.
I understand what the Son to Senator Oduah is going through right now, but I really pray he calms real down find a possible means of reconciliation.
As for the father, I don't know what to say cos some fathers can be beasts in human form.
Never take your relationship/bond as a father with your children for granted, when its lost, its lost and this is what it could result to.

In all honesty, its very beautiful and elegant, but like a lot of people have clearly put it out to you (in all sincerity), your version had a lot going on and that made it too bulky (or busy as they rightly put).
The Governor (or the panel of judges) wanted something SIMPLE but still had that Elegance, Class and Style in it and most importantly The Message its trying to portray.
Once again, I really love your work.. I pray more opportunities would come your way. Don't stop working, don't stop trying like a told one of my boys today, when you flop, try again!

Music/RadioRe: Singers, Song Writers & Songwriting. by micmarvellous(op): 8:43am On Aug 20, 2016
FOUR PRACTICAL DOS AND DON’TS FOR
DIFFERENT SONGWRITING METHODS

“Which do you write first, the music or the words?” This is
the classic question that all songwriters get asked. In my
experience, there’s no easy – or correct – answer to this
one. Sometimes it’s the music, sometimes it’s the lyrics and,
often, it’s some mystical, organic combination of the two.
More importantly, there is no one way to write a song.
Some of the best and worst songs ever written were created
using the same techniques. To that end, I’m going to cover
four different songwriting methods and some of the dos
and don’ts you’ll want to keep in mind as you go through
each one.
1. WRITING BASED ON A
TITLE IDEA/LYRICAL HOOK

Coming up with a really
catchy title or lyrical hook is
an art in and of itself. If
you’ve got one,
congratulations. Now that
you’ve got it, here are a few things to keep in mind.
Do – remember to make sure that everything in your
lyric points to and supports your lyrical hook. Having a
catchy hook only works if you build a foundation around
it so that when the hook arrives, there’s a sense of
drama and release.
Don’t – forget to give the song real emotional content.
It’s possible to be so focused on the hook and setting it
up that you forget to be sincere. While the average
listener might not be able to tell you why, the song won’t
move them in the way that a song with genuine emotional content would.

2. WRITING BASED ON A GENERAL IDEA/LYRICAL
CONCEPT
Sometimes you’ve been through an experience or have an
idea for a song that feels important enough to write about.
That’s as good a place as any to start.
Do – capture the feeling and emotion of your concept.
You obviously felt strongly enough to want to write
about this idea so immerse yourself in it and really tell
the story.
Don’t – be too vague. Because you haven’t started with
an actual lyrical hook, you’ll need to remember to bring
your overall concept to a very sharp point by
summarizing it with a phrase or hook line. This hook is
something you’ll hopefully come to as you’re developing
your lyric around your idea. A story without a
summarizing point or hook risks being too unfocused to
keep your listeners’ attention.

3. WRITING FROM A MELODIC IDEA
If you’re a melodic writer, then you’ve got a different set of
challenges. Beautiful, catchy melodies are a rare
commodity and should be treated with the appropriate
respect.
Do – honor your melody and
build your song around it.
Remember, people will learn
your melody loooooong before
they learn your lyric so having a
good melody is not to be taken
lightly.
Don’t – let the melody box you
into awkward words or watered-
down phrases. While a beautiful
melody is one part of a song, it’s
not the only part. Cramming in words or compromising
on lyrical integrity isn’t an acceptable approach when
writing from a melody. Remember, it’s the give and take
of a catchy melody and a natural, conversational lyric
that makes for a great song.

4. WRITING FROM A CHORD PROGRESSION/GROOVE
When you pick up your guitar or sit down at the piano,
often it’s a chord progression or groove that comes first.
Great!
Do – dig in and develop the groove and feel. This can
really set the mood of a song and inspire all kinds of
interesting melodic and lyrical ideas. Also, a good groove
is the very first thing the average listener will notice
when they hear your song.
Don’t – rely on a chord progression or groove at the
expense of your melody and lyric. This is no time to get
lazy. A chord progression and groove in and of itself is
only – in most genres – an arrangement idea which
doesn’t really constitute a song. Without a strong melody
and lyric, it’s entirely possible to have a great sounding
track and, unfortunately, a mediocre song.

CONCLUSION
As I stated at the top of this piece, there isn’t one “right”
method for writing a song. I’d highly recommend trying
every possible songwriting approach you can. Often, as
songwriters, we find ourselves in a rut where we go back to
the same approach over and over. While this may be
comforting and even result in increased productivity, in the
long run, it might not provide you with the most inspired or
unique songs you’re capable of writing. Why not leave your comfort zone and try a couple of different ways of writing?
You never know what you’ll get.
Good luck!

Christianity EtcRe: Folayan Osekita Shades Adeboye: Praises Wife 'Who Can't Pray 2hrs Nonstop' by micmarvellous(m): 6:44pm On Aug 04, 2016
I really wish Nigerian Christians would regain lost consciousness and know what they've been able to put themselves into, these past days (since Papa made his declarations) and probably ask for forgiveness.
If you don't like his declarations why not keep it to yourself than come out to say things that Angels would dare not see.
A lot of Nigerian Christians has brought shame on the name of Christ and the power in the authenticity of the Holy Spirit (do you know how long he fasted to get those words for his flock?).
Why won't a WIFE, a MOTHER know how to cook? (prayers notwithstanding
). Who will do the cooking? The maids right? (A round of applause). Imagine your survival chances as a child without a COOKING mom (I mean a COOKING mom). SMH.
A pastor's wife can't pray for 2hrs and its funny (lol), there's nothing funny except alarming about that fact, ofcourse its his duty to praise his wonderful wife (who wouldn't?).
I don't get involved when it comes to Pastors and their issues (I really wanna grow old graciously), I'd advice you do same.
Be very careful, you don't sin against the Holy Spirit and go scot free. I pity this generation of careless great men & women.
Remain Victorious.
