If you around more during the day, your current battery bank would do fine. If mostly at Night, and what you cook most time is just warming food or light foods, your current battery bank still should work.

My advice,,sell off your 2.5kwh battery and buy the 8kwh battery you initially wanted to…I don’t buy the idea of mixing different ages of battery especially when one is 6months above older…I believe your inverter is at least 3.5kva…

Sometimes we give ourselves stress that isn’t even necessary…many people are on 2.5kwh battery and they even use it everyday…I don’t see any point increasing the capacity unless the above question 2,3 and 4 are “Yes

First you need confirm if current battery supports being paralleled ? if NOT, you must replace entire battery.

Secondly , we don't even know how long you've used current battery. If it's less or about 6 to 8 months, and haven't been really cycled, no issue ELSE you still have to consider this though most times, with Lithium batteries, less than 8-months is good enough.

Thirdly , if your new target capacity is 8kwh, then 2pcs of 2.5kwh in parallel can't give you that except you plan adding another that's bigger than 2.5kwh which is a capital NO .

Fourthly , Even if said battery supports being paralled, and you decides to add another 2.5kwh, the age of the batteries plays a role.

At end of the day, it's just CHEAPer and SAFEr replacing entire battery bank than paralleling it even if it supports being paralleled, and you add exact same 2.5kwh, and it's less than 6 months of usage.

NB: If you rarely at home, you need not size your battery bank like you always at home. Most clients I know with such lifeStyle, na early morning and late evening dem dey enjoy their investment though often tired by then. Even on Sundays, some go still go Church + Meetings. Would suggest you instead look into managing your load.

PSS:
Would suggest if you can afford to delay a while, you could jeJeLy suspend increasing Capacity to 7kwh or 8kwh while still on 24v system AND instead work towards moving onto 48v system.

You can set the inverter priority to sbu: Solar > battery > utility, in that order.

Secondly, some of the alarms can be put off from settings EXCEPT when you say NOISY, you meant the FAN

If you buy the cheapo. Have been using mine for more than 4 years now with no issue.

Buy a good brand, don't cheap out and you are good.

Recently upgraded mine this year. Same result.

Don't just buy cheaply made one.

mayBe @prince4pro2 should tell us their usage patterns. Just like you said, some leave home very early in the morning and come back late at Night. We can't compare their expereince with those who spends more time at home or those with demanding appliances. Or those of us wey get loads that rarely go offLine.

Still would recommend 4pcs minimum to cater for most scenerios especially if there's need to use the setUp reliably while it's recharging.

if money no too dey, e fit do 3pcs but would suggest He / She kukuma waits till the money for 4pcs is complete as by the time you calculate cost of transportations, and installations of the second panel(s), you see you now spending extra. Not mentioning other costs.

He also needs understand He can't easily do Parallel with that inverter

Do you not think that if the inverter was efficiently drawing a max of 500W from your Gen, no problem or damage would have occurred to your Gen if its capacity rating is also true?

Hello My people

Please I discovered that my Inverter (itel hybrid 3.6kva) no longer charges from the grid. When ever I turn on the breaker, I get error 3 and the inverter stops. From the manual, it states the error is Bus Voltage Low

This occurs only when I turn on the grid breaker while attempting to charge. Charging from the panel is working fine

Please can this be fixed or where can I take it to for repairs... Would appreciate feedback based on your experience.... Thanks

I made the carport in such a way that it is detachable.

When I was still using 4 panels, I erected it at the side of the building, when I noticed towards 4pm the building was shading it, I uprooted it and moved it to the front, before adding two more stands.

Landlords will even prefer this to placing panels on their roof.

Finally sorted it out. I manually set the cc is now charging g the lithium battery, but I lost my inverter @linov to the rescue Sha. So the cc is now charging the lithium battery y am now on my old msw sarchet inverter with my weak gel batry alongside pwm cc, I dey on shege promax at the moment.
