Business › Re: Official Exchange Rate Closes Week At N1,537.96/$1 Amidst Surging Inflation by micxwell(m): 7:09am On Feb 17, 2024
RepoMan007:
When calculating the Naira to Dollar ratio, you didn't consider that not all naira in circulation are chasing the dollar or forex. Most are exchanging local goods. That brings the dollar back to around N1500 and below. The issue is still corruption. After increasing Naira in circulation and arming the governors with it, instead of dispersing it and buying local services or goods, they steal it and try to take it out through the forex market. That's what pushes forex demand and prices up mostly.
Under normal economic circumstances, increase in price leads to reduced demand of goods, and so forex demand should naturally weaken when prices go up, but in our case, as FG try to get more money across to the governors to reduce hardship, the money goes almost directly to the forex market.

Tinubu should bypass the govs and let their FAAC be just what they need for salary and then a flat amount of 2-3 billion for capital expenses. That's should give the FG space to do more impactful things for the masses.

Also to save crucial money.
New road should be suspended and only existing one be maintained and secured.
Health and education should get extra attention. Particularly, ASUU should be settled since Naira is less valuable and their agreement with ASUU was reflected in Naira and not dollar.
And you think ASUU will agree to collect the previously agreed sum in Naira. I doubt that, they are not stupid.

Good evening, could anyone please tell me which chipset comes with the Redmi Note 12? I've seen two different options online: Qualcomm Snapdragon 686 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1.
There is Redmi Note 12 5G (Snapdragon 4 Gen 1) and there's Redmi Note 12 4G (Snapdragon 685). Only the 4G variant was released in Nigeria to the best of my knowledge.

I used RiseVest & my eligibility is complete according to the tracker so I guess rise is acceptable (I'm still awaiting PPR though)

I'm not sure Payoneer will be willing to issue a reference letter, you should contact their customer support. I tried using Wise but they said they don't give reference letters.
Hello brother. You've used Risevest as your POF. Did you add your Naira Account Bank statement too pls??

Kabba - Ikare road? I know that route. Safest until this news.

Going to Lagos from Abuja through Ibadan is now dangerous. It's finished.

Tinubu is playing with fire. The early he restructures the country, the better.
I give thanks to God. I just got to Ibadan now and I went through the same road. I pray they find them safe and sound.

All we need is Grace tho but its nt just grace alone and its nt abt being intelligent. U can be very intelligent and hav 1st class and yet, ur not smart and outspoken. Does he flow or relate with people around him? Is he friendly? So if Dat guy has all dis u mentioned then he has many issues. Maybe spiritual or physical issues, or he's neglecting jobs (he doesn't wanna start small cos he feels he has first class n all d qualifications) or his village oracle d follow him grin.

When i said certifications, i wasnt talking abt nebosh or hse. i mean real certifications. Especially those dat studied engineering.
Someone liked my comment and I got to see your write up. What are the REAL Engineering certifications you're talking about ? Solely for learning purposes.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Church Music Instrumentalists Be Paid For Their Duties? by micxwell(m): 12:35pm On Jan 28, 2024
DesChyko:
We must be realistic. Churches recruit instrumentalists and pay them heavy just to come and play. They even recruit technicians on weekly basis to manage their setups. If any church can do that on a whim, they should have no problems paying those who do that without an additional stress from the church.

In their defence, God has given them a talent to feed with. It will be silly if them to let that go without actualisation. Especially as a Nigerian.

I have this friend, who had similar issues with where he worships. As a string instrumentalist, he only asked for 3k after each Sunday service, I think (before all these inflation). He already makes some quid on weekdays from services and vigils he performs. He always discussed this with me, but mehn, no be me go tell you make you leave House of God o 🤣.

One day, he called it quits and left, with the pastors and members saying all sorts. That's how Henry became available for contracts. He attends service wherever he plays on Sundays. It didn't take long for the church to realise how expensive it is to hire instrumentalists around and they wanted him back. Unfortunately, the ship had left the harbour as Henry was now highly sought after and quite pricey too. He also sought my opinion on this but Omo, no be me go tell you make you drop where you dey feed from before you go use beg finish me 😏
🤣🤣🤣 if hypocrisy was a person. Your hands are always clean.

Good analysis bro. Do you think there'll be another temporary cushioning of FX like there was in Nov/Dec soon?

Also, what do you think an average Nigerian should do to keep the value of their savings intact?

Primebuilders:
My dear it's possible and there is a cause for it. The cause is Maleria drugs we are taking. It happened to me. I was AA when I was in school. But during our marriage I discovered I was AS though my wife wife was AA.
Research have shown that regular intakes if Maleria drugs changes ones genotype to AA to AS. I met a herbal/medical doctor who told me this. He was trained overseas and is the only doctor I know that booast of curing Sickle cell disease. Yes he cures it. And the guys is in Nigeria at the moment.
He told me that sickle cell disease is an African man disease because of the prevelent of mosquitoes. That the Maleria drugs we take to cure mosquitoes changes people's genotype.

If possible reach me in this matter.
Research! I will love to read the paper.

Family › Re: Does A Woman Earning More Than The Husband Affect The Marriage? by micxwell(m): 2:40pm On Jan 02, 2024
Omagi:
It depends, study your wife to be, personality matters. Nobody can know her better than you, if you fail to do the needful, you will pay a heavy price for it. My wife has been earning more than me for like 4 years now since we've gotten married and we have a son. Nobody knows about it, she's humble, loving and understanding. We plan on each salary, invest with hers and use mine to run other expenses like food, school fees and any other thing you can think of. We moved into our house January 2022, each time I collect loan from cooperative, we use more than half of her salary to pay the loan.
I know she's humble before I married her, we discussed this before marriage. If you see any trait of pride in a girl, pls run, it will grow with time, block third parties totally and you are good to go. Besides if your wife is well trained, from a good home, you have no problem. You have to be reasonable as a man too and not feel unsecured as a man, some things are just meant to be like that. If you try to fight it, your marriage may crumble.
May God bless your family brother.

Facts! My mama Redmi Go of 4 years is still working. My brother Redmi 9A battery is still going 8 hours. My Redmi Note 9 Pro of 3 years still dey do one day on a single charge.

However, Redmi Note 7 when I give another relative in 2020, 2 weeks battery swell up. Less than 3 months battery kill screen and back glass.

But when you tell people that its the usage pattern, then go vex. Because the average Nigerian hates correction even when they're wrong.
One common mistake people make now is charging their devices using the USB ports that comes with this below.

I warned all of my extended family members during a function last September. I hope they all listened.

Their website clearly stated not to use these ports for charging smartphones.

Additionally, Nigeria's erratic power supply contributes to these issues.
