I realised late last year that to make money is not difficult, the need to make it quickly is the problem. Oil used to one of my favourite things but in the past 6 months, I seem to be suffering from insider bias and can't seem to just follow my chart. I attended one conference and met 2 people who changed my mind set.

An old lady (she was 72 at the time), learnt to trade when after losing her pension and made her first million trading just the S&P index.

The other guy is in his mid 40s, only trades DJIA options and made his money that way too...............but had trading logs and bank statements as proof, they wanted to show us that to make it does not require trading everything that moves. Having whittled down instruments to the ones that are least likely to range, I am all the better for it. Gold can kiss my black ar5e, the ranging is so annoying, I can put my capital to better use. I keep telling you to try the indices if you don't want to trade FX, start with the FTSE, you will be glad you did.
