Last Sunday, 27th October 2019 was a very busy day for Anambra South stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as they held crucial consultations on how to properly position the party and the zone for the next governorship election. The meeting had all the political heavyweights in attendance and it was visible to all that the party had not only learnt from its past challenges but had the desire and wherewithal to reconcile, realign, restrategize and restore harmony within the various structures of the party. Political gladiators within the party are putting heads together to come up with a template to advance the fortunes of the party and communiqué on crucial issues deliberated upon at the meeting. Speaking at the parley, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke (Enyioha) a frontline prospective flag bearer from Ihiala in Anambra South, enjoined the party to look critically at harmonizing structures at the grassroots as true reconciliation and harmonizing must be structured to carry everyone along. He insisted that the livewire of the party is its strength at the grassroots level and that there was no better time for PDP to stake its claim and secure victory at the polls than now. Other stakeholders who spoke at the parley insisted on fairness and equity in the party, asking that certain considerations adopted at the meeting be scrutinized and treated favorably. There is an unalloyed disposition of PDP stakeholders to close ranks and ensure the party provides the needed direction to ensure victory at the next polls. PDP Southeast Stakeholders Meet in Anambra, as Chief Ugochukwu Okeke declares for governor The PDP Southeast Interactive Session and Stakeholders Meeting, Anambra State Chapter was held yesterday in Awka to strategize and chart a path forward for the party in the state as it officially begins work towards the next gubernatorial election in the state. Chief Ugochukwu Okeke (Enyioha), a frontline grassroots politician in Anambra and former governorship aspirant of the party threw his hat into the ring as he officially declared his intention to run once more for the number one position in the state. Speaking after the declaration, Enyioha urges Ndi-Anambra to keep their hopes burning in spite of the ruinous cloud of bad governance that has enveloped the state over the past few years, leaving critical infrastructure in tatters and rural communities in adverse neglect, that the state can still be redeemed. “Perhaps there has never been any time in the history of this state that the consequences of our decision to choose who to lead us as governor will be weightier, more dramatic and consequential. Our State is standing on the threshold of history, we are on the verge and all socioeconomic indicators have taken a huge plunge amidst the huge potentials our State is endowed with”. Chief Ugochukwu said that the decision on who will fly PDP’s flag in the governorship contest on the backdrop of the underperforming incumbent government is critical. “We cannot afford to gamble with the choice of who picks the ticket of our party as the task of redeeming our State from the present quagmire is an arduous one. It, therefore, behooves on our party to build a workable consensus and effective synergy to tackle the chronic leadership failure that has befallen us. Enyioha insists that though Ndi-Anambra has reposed a lot of confidence in PDP and consider them as the best alternative, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra State must unify its various interests, and join hands with sincerity of purpose and unwavering faith to ensure that it delivers on the mandate of the masses. OPEN LETTER TO: Inspector General of Police The Director General (DSS) Edo State Commissioner of Police The Director (DSS Edo State) National Chairman APC Edo State Chairman APC ATTEMPTS BY MR. OSARODION OGIE TO ABUSE OUR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AS CITIZENS OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, AND MEMBERS OF APC, IKPOBA-OKHA. Sir, Human Rights are fundamental and inalienable rights and are supposed to be enjoyed by the people, they are legal entitlements which every citizen should enjoy without fear of the government or other citizens. They are rights and privileges earned by men for being humans, necessary for the continuous coexistence and for participation in a complex society. With regards to the present agitation for the soul of Ikpoba-Okha LGA towards ensuring that proper and sincere leadership is provided especially at the Political Party Level, to create an atmosphere of equity and freedom to participate in party affairs without being molested or harassed. We will like to draw your attentions to the already arranged plans of the Secretary to State Government of our dear State, Mr Osarodion Ogie Esq. to intimidate, abuse and unlawfully arrest anyone — with the aid of the Nigeria Police Force and Security Agents— seen to be in support of the call for Inclusiveness in the affairs of our dear political party and indeed the people of Ikpoba-Okha. It is important to bring to your notice sir that the Elder's Council that preexisted before the subtle emergence of Osarodion Ogie was ambushed and destroyed by him in his bid to become the only recognized individual in Ikpoba-Okha. That he has since achieved, but till date has neither brought reasonable progress to our people nor to our communities. Events of the past and present seem to define majority of Ikpoba-Okha young people as not good for befitting employment opportunities, but rather as tools for Osarodion Ogie's political mercenaries. It is shameful and demeaning and as a people we have decided to buck this trend, and change the narrative. Consequently, attempts by Mr. Osarodion Ogie who is not in touch with the people to use the instrumentality of State and the exalted office of SSG to in whatsoever disguise oppress and intimidate our sons and daughters for the act of simply exercising their rights and peacefully clamouring for inclusiveness and political correctness will be resisted. Ikpoba-Okha has a lot of indigenous and enterprising young people with fresh ideas who Mr. Osarodion Ogie has in times past oppressed, and almost destroyed their vision and won't provide opportunities and platforms for sharing developmental thoughts, as he has arrogated to himself some sort of God complex and enthroned himself as the Alpha & Omega, dictating in a constitutional democracy Therefore, in our quest to ensure that Ikpoba-Okha is not finally annexed to the residence of Mr. Osarodion Ogie in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) and in ensuring that all Stake Holders are given a voice and a sense of belonging we are agitating for a Change and he cannot stop us this time. Consequently, we are calling on the above authorities to please take note of his plans and call him to order. We will not take for granted the safety of our people, the hope and future of our communities and dear state. He needs to understand that that which is important to us is the welfare of our people, and only true leadership can provide that. Ikpoba-Okha is determined! Jointly Signed By: Ikpoba-Okha APC for Good Governance. Concerned People of Ikpoba-Okha. Grassroot Youth Initiative.

By Sunday Osanyintuyi Since I came to this Lagos sometimes June1996, one of the common features the city is known for has remained. It has not changed and I don’t think it will change soon. In fact, generations yet unborn may continue to live with the term if governance continues at this abysmal rate or level. The term “One Chance” is a known word and everyday phraseology in Lagos. When you are about to board public transport, one of your sincere prayers will be “Oh God save me from one chance drivers’ today o in Jesus name” However, if you have stayed well enough in Lagos coupled with some street senses, you can easily identified one chance buses and drivers when you see them. So when the idea to drop this article bumped in, I was tempted to caption it “One Chance City Led by a New Governor”. But on a second thought, I chose what it is now. For 20 years of democratic rule, Lagos State has been under the same particular political family for different slogans of governance with different governors. Either proportional progress has been made or not remains a discussion for another day. My sincere view is governance should be progressive either with same political party or not. But this is more on paper than practice in this part of the world. Lagos appears to be different though but to whom much is given… We can argue if the city income tallies with her progress and development in some locations of the state in 20 unbroken years. But clearly, Lagos under this political party and family deserves more as well as better deal. Just this week Tuesday, the news was rife of Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu denying the promise he made regarding Apapa gridlock during the intense campaign that trailed the last gubernatorial election in the state. First, it came to me as a shock. Why? I had thought we are improving governance in Lagos. With the campaign #ForGreaterLagos, I counted Sanwo – Olu as a new breed on the roll with focused, determination and dedication to all promises made by the young governor. The denial sent wrong signal to me. Could it mean Sanwo – Olu was just playing same “polititricks” when he made this promise with 60 days’ timelines on many occasions? Could it be Lagosians just boarded a “one chance” bus? MEDIA REPORTS ON THE ISSUE During an interactive session with his classmates at the executive master of business administration class, University of Lagos, 1998/2000 set, the governor was quoted as saying his government will do whatever is required to fix the gridlock within 60 days. He reportedly said: “The Apapa trailer issue; it’s a campaign issue; it’s very serious; I’m going to take it very seriously. I believe that it is something that we are going to solve in the first 60 days of our government. Whatever is going to be required of us, we will take them out.” This and many other activities of the governor were well reported in the media then. SANWO-OLU’S CLAIMED The governor said he had promised to review and not fix the gridlock within 60 days. Haba!! Politicians According to him, “What I said was that in 60 days, we would review what was done but that does not take the fact that even if people give you dateline, it’s because they want you to do well and they want you to be able to be accountable for those datelines. The real construction of the road has started, but it’s not at the stage in which we can feel the full impact of it.” In my view, this attempt by Sanwo – Olu and his media handlers can best be described as “one chance” attempt to deceive Lagosians. It is also a pointer to either worst thing to come or many more denials ahead. If in less than 30 days of a government, Lagosians are witnessing this denial, it leaves so much to covet of a man who secured overwhelming supports of Lagosians even against an incumbent. SUGGESTIONS FOR SANWO -OLU It is best for Sanwo –Olu and his team returns to the table and call for all the videos and audios of his campaign trail to verify his promises if there is no manifesto document as it appears to be now. They should review and engage PR professionals who will help tailor the narratives better for people’s acceptance if anything is to change in executions of those promises. Governor Sanwo –Olu and Dr Femi Hamzat should act fast so they don’t wash away the goodwill Lagosians repose in them. His team needs to step up so that over 739,445 Lagosians voters that brought him to power will not be asking: Can we trust this governor? By Kpebo Thomas The victory of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State in the just concluded election cannot be attributed to any one person except God, but God used people as instruments to make the election miracle happen. Barr. Emmanuel Moses Enoidem of ‘block votes’ fame is a household name, as far as the just concluded election and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District is concerned. Block votes (for the PDP) because APC in his unit and ward had ZERO VOTE. Zero! It was generally believed that Enoidem would be the first to join his former boss, Senator Akpabio, who defected on August 8, 2018, to the All Progressives Congress (APC). So many stories were served for public consumption and digestion, one of such was a story with the headline ‘Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, don’t suck Udom dry before you leave’. In fact, people were so certain that he was going to defect that they had begun to shop for a replacement to fill the gap of the National Legal Adviser of PDP. Surprisingly, Enoidem displayed a rare attribute of statesmanship. It is often said that the hallmark of a good leader is where he stands in his time of discomfort, not where he stands in time of convenience. Enoidem was able to take a decision that many of those who found themselves in his shoe couldn’t. Would we be wrong to say that not everyone who wears the shoe knows where it pinches? Or maybe they knew and took the shoe for granted, that it could ‘pinch’ deep enough to get them crippled. When he announced that his love and support for Senator Godswill Akpabio cannot override the love and commitment he has for the Akwa Ibom project, most people took it with a pinch of salt. In his words, "not only will I support my party, I will work hard to ensure that Governor Udom Emmanuel returns elected". Enoidem like the uncommon defector, is an ‘Annang’ man, and hails from the same senatorial district with Akpabio, he was going to be a major beneficiary of the defection but he placed Akwa Ibom State first before his interest. The interest of Akwa Ibom State in the sense that, the last election was not about Udom Emmanuel but the liberation of the state. The only difference is that, Governor Udom Emmanuel was the rallying point for the for renaissance. A turning point that subsequent governors in Akwa Ibom would come to enjoy because Udom would likely not want to be a god and final dictator after his tenure. In some of the interviews he had with journalists, the PDP national legal adviser recounted the number of times he had gone on his knees and told his former Boss not to defect, so as not to lose HIS OWN POSITION in the Senate, NOT ENOIDEM’S. That was RARE love and concern because Enoidem didn’t wish to see him fail! “Before August 8, we had at least 20 meetings with Akpabio and even knelt down to beg him not to leave PDP, a party that had showered so much on him, to APC, a party that holds nothing in stock for him. We told him that we will not follow him if he defects.” It appears that his former Boss had imposed so much confidence on himself, as he said he can easily get his way in any party he finds himself. Enoidem mentioned that “we contributed our own money and gathered over 20,000 persons to receive Senator Akpabio and give him a return ticket to the Senate unopposed, under the platform of the PDP, only for him to tell us that the people will go with him no matter the platform. That was taking boastfulness to a high. The highest level of pride”. In the build up to the just concluded elections, Enoidem admitted he was offered several millions of naira and was later threatened, persecuted, just to blackmail and intimidate him into withdrawing support for Governor Udom Emmanuel. As expected, if there was any iota of corruption or financial impropriety found on him, from all his years in public service. This would have been used strongly against him, by a man who is expected to have known this, the uncommon man. Enoidem has made us understand that his support for Governor Udom Emmanuel was not just about the certainty of his winning at the polls, but a position that would ensure that he, Enoidem, was not at conflict with the unity of Akwa Ibom and the collective decision of Akwa Ibom people. Integrity is a piece of cloth for Enoidem, a cloth he wears to stand his ground, to give value to politics, honesty and discountenance selfishness in leadership, despite the thorns under his feet and how they make him bleed. To him, he wants to leave a legacy for his children and mentees, that at a point when the unity and integrity of Akwa Ibom State was endangered, he did not waver as their father/mentor. Barr. Enoidem took the campaigns very personal. He was seen campaigning for his party’s candidates vigorously, it appeared as though he was seeking for an office, even though he had nothing personal to gain. Akpabio’s defection meant he did not want his position at the Senate anymore and Enoidem couldn’t have forced it on him. And that begs the question, why did Enoidem himself refuse the overtures to pick the PDP form and contest for the Senate? Simple; this could have probably stood against him, as the selfish motive for antagonizing the embattled Senator Akpabio. And so, as one of the leaders of the party in the state, Enoidem chose to support the emergence of Chris Ekpenyong, former deputy governor as his constituency’s next senator. He went round also, leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the Udom's Gospel penetrated every fabric of his senatorial district and Akwa Ibom generally. His messages resonated that ‘Annangs' are not treacherous and also don’t betray their in-laws. Luckily for Governor Udom Emmanuel, his re-election was NOT only based on the sentiments that the last two Governors had served for eight years, far from it; in four years under Mr Emmanuel, virtually all Local Government areas in Akwa Ibom State have seen, felt and touched the dividends of GOOD governance in more than a way. As the state agent of the PDP, anyone at the INEC collation centre could sense the air of confidence around a man, who completely dwarfed his major counterpart, Bishop Sam Akpan of the APC, caught several times on the camera lenses, sulking and protesting. Barr. Enoidem hails from Etim Ekpo local government area of Akwa Ibom State. In 1992, he climbed the ladder with two things in hand, politics and lecturing. He was appointed Legal Adviser of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Etim Ekpo Chapter and an Assistant Lecturer in the University of Uyo. Barr. Enoidem was the Local Government Chairman of Etim Ekpo at quite a tender age. He also served as state Treasurer of the PDP between 2001 and 2007 and has since then been an active caucus member of his party. Fast-forward to when Godswill Akpabio was the governor of Akwa Ibom State, he served as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, from 2007 to 2013 and Commissioner for Special Duties from 2013 to 2015. A man in public service for three decades, with no dent , especially at a time the torchlight beam on opposing elements by the federal (anti this and that) agencies, was at an all time high, can comfortably keep his head high. Indeed, Barr. Emmanuel Moses Enoidem is an rare statesman, who wears integrity, despite the weather condition he finds himself. _Miss Thomas, an indigene of Ibesikpo Asutan, writes from Afaha Itam,Itu, Akwa Ibom State._

The berger car depot market, for clarity, is located along mile 2/Apapa expressway Lagos, siting on four link roads to berger car depot bridge. This market provides jobs to over two thousand Nigerians who are engaged in different business activities which include car dealership/Agency, registration of vehicles, vehicle tracking services, spare parts, food vendors etc. Like any other market or business environment, revenues are generated from participating organisations or players. The rate or percentage of levies charged is always negotiable. The legality or otherwise of such levies should also come to question. There is an ugly trend that presently prevails in this market where an individual or a couple of persons unilaterally and arbitrarily impose levies to other established organisations and unions without seeking their consent and inputs in matters that concern them. The President-General and his collaborators have unleashed a reign of terror and oppression of defenceless and peaceful members of the market with unbearable levies using his trained thugs and miscreants to harass and intimidate other operators in the market. In their bid to extort monies, they go as far as forcefully seizing cell phones and female bags and other personal effects in a gangster manner. The worst affected in this reign of terror and impunity are members of vehicle tracking operators of Nigeria whose offices have been locked for over three months for refusal to comply with the illegal fee collection. Therefore, we call on the President and Commander-in-Chief of armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, Acting Inspector General of Police, Director DSS, Ministers of environment and works, Federal Inland Revenue Service and Civil society organisations to immediately investigate this matter with a view to preventing breakdown of law and order For those who may want to give this ethnic colouration, over 85 percent of market operators are lbos, the leadership of the market is made up of lbos and those who suffer this hostile treatment are same lbos.

I usually don't believe in that fallacy that most wealthy men used people for money. I know lots of poor people out there that are more desperate than the word desperate, looking for how to make money. Why haven't they used someone for money then? |
This is so distasteful and disturbing. How will someone in Gods name do something like this to an innocent child? |
This is so sad. Why take a soul at that young age. What is the world turning into? |
A 6-year-old girl identified as Angel, from Akwa Ibom State, but resident in Obiofia-Nnewichi, Nnewi, with her parents, was allegedly defiled by a 40-year-old man identified simply as Chukwudi, aka Alaukpor from Ukpor, Nnewi South LGA. MAN DEFILES 6-YEAR- OLD GIRL IN NNEWI, ANAMBRA STATE The incident took place Obiofia-Nnewichi, Nnewi in Anambra State penultimate week. The mother of the victim, who introduced herself as Mrs. Peterson, a petty trader in Nnewi, told Anaedooline that she was in her shop with the little Angel the fateful day when she sent the little girl to get a lantern from their house for evening business. According to her, it took the little girl a very long time to return to the shop. She said that she noticed the strange way her daughter was walking, but overlooked it. She continued: “After the night’s business, we went home. It was my husband that noticed that some fluid was coming out from her vagina. He called my attention to that, I cleaned it and slept. In the morning, my husband called his sister, who was a nurse and explained the situation. She advised that we should consult a medical doctor for advice. When we met a doctor, he conducted a test and told us that the fluid was sperm. “We had to call the little girl and asked her questions. She told us that Chukwudi, our neighbor, called her inside his room and had sex with her the night she was sent to get a lantern. “We confronted Chukwudi but he denied. We reported the incident to community vigilante group in Umuogbo-Obiofia, Nnewichi, Nnewi for necessary actions”. Mrs. Peterson further said that since the incident was reported, the family is yet to see any action taken by the vigilante. She said that the culprit, Chukwudi, a widower and father of two, has run away from the yard since the incident took place, and has refused to return to Nnewi since then. No matter how diligently you wash a tiger’s coat, the dots on the big cat’s coat remain unwashed. Such is a strong perception of many people about our brother, distinguished Sen Andy Uba. But truly anyone who is shocked by the arrest of Senator Uba is probably not familiar with the extents of duplicity the gentleman is capable of. For some of us who have watched him a bit closer, it is no news to us that Mr. Uba is incapable of conducting a life that is devoid of heist, duplicity and gross compromise. Apart from the belief that he still maintains a secret allegiance to his longtime political benefactor in the person of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Andy Uba’s bromance with the opposition party across the Southeast and South-South regions is a show of desperation that is a hallmark of his brand of politics. As a serving senator, nothing of note can be pointed to as Mr. Andy’s contribution to his Anambra South Constituency. This gross failure and its attendant political irrelevance are, sadly, why Sen Uba is clutching to every political straw he can find in an apparent search for a soft landing. This is a sad commentary on the Anambra political process on one hand, and a big lesson to every other politician whose hands the people have entrusted their mandates. It must be pointed out to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and indeed every admirer of decent politics that Andy Uba is yet again corrupting the hard-won fabrics of our decent and decorous politicking through his alignment with key opposition figures like Governor Wike of Rivers State in which hundreds of millions of public funds have been used to seal unholy deals. And for good conscience sake, these are monies that could change the fortunes of hundreds of hardworking Anabrarians and Riverains. For one thing, there is a sense in the claim that Andy is not a member of the APC – at least in practice. And he lacks the courage to face his crumbling political fortunes with equanimity. He is but a mole who would rather pitch his tent with the moneybag opposition for personal enrichment. The strength of character is a veritable tool for the kind of politics that will take Ndi Anambra to our place of pride. Unfortunately, Andy does not seem to care any bit about this important concept. To him, many believe, politics starts and ends with cash. Moreover, Ndi Anambra must not forget that Andy, apart from being a serial blackmailer, has an ungodly reputation of being an unrepentant money launderer. Early on before his foray in politics, he has been caught multiple times in this heist. One of which was in the faraway United States of America. The factors that make him unworthy in leadership is his inability to align his interests with the people’s interests. Mr. Andy’s certificate scam is a major ethical disaster that mocks those who genuinely earn their qualifications. But records are a stubborn thing. Ndi-Anambra and the entire world still believe till this day that he procured the judgment that set him free and prevented him from being jailed. In fact, a close analysis of his person will reveal everything that our politics and indeed politicians should never be. Mr. Andy would not feature in any equation that advances the interest of the progress and overall well-being of Anambra South. This is indeed unfortunate. His current ordeal as a multiple time money launderer is a testament to the need for the APC to consider a more loyal and politically relevant stakeholder for whatever privileged positions he currently holds. But beyond easing him out and getting on board a more decent and politically formidable hand, there is a bigger picture. And this is the fact that our Nation is evolving from a Socio-economic and political perversion into a saner and more responsive one in which the likes of Andy Uba must no longer hold sway.

2019 Presidential election : Willie Obiano should not oppose the wishes of Anambra people - Dr Harry Oranezi An Anambra born Medical Doctor and Policy Expert , Dr Harry Oranezi has called on Anambra State Gov. Willie Obiano not to stand against the wishes of Ndi Anambra on their preferred choice of Presidential candidate in 2019 . #Speaking in Awka yesterday , the Ebenator born Health Financial Analyst stated that Anambra people are highly republican by nature and any governor of Anambra state ought to bear this in mind so as not to be on collision course with the will of the people of the state especially on issues of National political discourse #The Anambra State Campaign Cordinator of Atiku/Obi Presidential Campaign Organization while reacting to what is now in the public knowledge as regards Governor Obiano 's support for Buhari's re-election and his attack on the President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo , Chief Nnia Nwodo , stated that such support from Anambra State govt negates the popular position of Ndi Anambra . " We are a Republican people by nature and this will be the first time the governor of Anambra State will be going against the popular position of Anambra voters on issue of Presidential election in the history of Anambra State starting from Old Anambra till date " he said . " Yes , I agree that Chief Willie Obiano can take his personal position as a person , but he must not subsume the position of the people of the state to his personal position . " Anambra people want a President that will open up the economy with needed policies that will activate the private sector to thrive and not a government that kills businesses . Our people are supporting Atiku/Obi ticket because they understand the situation and already know from the records of service and pedigree of the duo that they are ready to get Nigeria working again . " On Obiano's criticism against the considered stand of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Dr Oranezi raised the following posers for him "when Ohaneze Ndigbo Anambra State adopted you (Governor Obiano) for second tenure , did you complain that other aspirants were members of Ohaneze , didn't you go ahead to celebrate it ?. When ASATU which is an association of Town Union leadership in Anambra State adopted you also for your second term bid , did you reject that ? Today you are accusing an Ohaneze Ndigbo that is protecting what our people want in a Nigeria project which the Atiku Policy plans accommodates. He further added that , "it’s unthinkable and suicidal for Governor Obiano to paint Anambra people as a people that divorce themselves from the only body that protects the interest of Ndi Igbo in Nigeria. However, everyone is entitled to his freedom of expression and association, Governor Willie Obiano’s decision to insult the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo shows his original intention to work against the interest of Ndi Igbo. " Oranezi , in conclusion urged Ndi Anambra to come out and vote massively for PDP in this up coming election in order to protect the interest of our people Atiku/Obi Presidency will return Nigeria to the path of greatness " he submits . Meanwhile , the PDP presidential candidate for 2019 election Atiku Abubakar will be leading the campaign team to Anambra State on Thursday , 31st January .

Come February 16, Nigerians are expected to go to their various polling units to exercise their franchise on who will occupy their various leadership positions for the next 4 years. For this reason, many Nigerians mostly the youths has however taken their support and campaigns of their preferred candidates to various fora most especially the social media which over time has elicited many heated arguments. In Anambra for example, Anambra Senatorial zone election has been the most controversial and the most trend-topping topic of political discussions right before the primaries and even more now that the election day is getting close. The major candidates in no particular order are Chris Uba, PDP, his brother Andy Uba, APC, Nicolas Ukachukwu, APGA and YPP's Ifeanyi Ubah. The supporters of the above mentioned candidates has been busy explaining to those that care to listen why their candidate is the better option and at the same time mudslinging others. It is an established fact that among all the candidates none of them has suffered more in terms of conspiracy theories and deliberate attempts of tarnishing ones image than Chief Chris Uba (Eselu Uga). Chief Uba's image has been so battered that many will start questioning your integrity the moment you mention his name to their hearing. When you press further to know their reason for such contempt, they will end up repeating the same propagandas over again. If they are not telling you that he kidnapped a sitting governor or burnt down the governor's lodge, they will tell you he took the ingrate of a governor to swear at Okija shrine and many more well scripted propagandas. As someone that has been close to Chief Uba (Ochiagha) and also heard his own side of the story, I can authoritatively confirm to you that there is no iota of truth in all the above narratives. In the coming days I will take time to explain to you all what, why and how it all happened but believe me when I tell you those stories are nothing but a petit grotesque mendacity . In fact it is as fake as 1st generation China phones. I do know people easily turn to ingrate over night but adding wickedness to it is evil. If not why will a nonentity that was picked from the gutter and made a governor turn around and start fighting the very foundation that made him? This is more than wickedness, it is madness. Those who are afraid of Ochiagha's towering political ascendency are quick to share the obnoxious propaganda around but has refused to tell you that he has singlehandedly made over 30 Assembly men, over 20 Senators and Reps members and many state governors. That is why they are afraid. That is why they resort to cheap blackmail and propaganda. That is why he is OCHIAGHA. One thing they should know is that they can only try but He that is with Ochiagha is greater than he that is in them. Now seeing that those who he empowered politically in order for them to empower others has failed woefully in that particular task, he has now decided to throw his hat in the ring to show them how it is done. |
I also heard of this from a friend. He was robbed at same spot last weekend. |

The National President, National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Comrade Danielson Bamidele AKPAN, has cancelled his official trip to Liberia as a result of the strike action embarked on by Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) earlier today. The leadership of NANS was to jet out of the country to attend the inauguration of Liberia Students Union and also meet President Weah of Liberia, among other international engagements. The President said it will be wrong for him to leave the country while his house is on fire. "It will be indiscernible for me to leave the country while academic activities are grounded across the country. What we envisaged was the NLC strike only for the ASUU strike to come up and this affects us directly. This strike met us as a surprise. However, I have been conversing with the National leadership of ASUU and it's been fruitful, we have a working relationship. We are doing all we can to meet the Federal Government through the Minister of Education and we hope it will all be over soon." The President also admonished his fellow students to be law abiding and stay calm as he hope activities will resume as soon as possible. The NANS leadership shall make an official statement in few hours on the said ASUU strike. Signed. Wande T. Ajayi Chief Press Secretary to the NANS President. |
