You have decided on what you want to do but don't misinform people. It is not necessary.

When I did naija passport for my child I was not asked for NPC. They used her US BC and registered her under foreign birth. That is all

Same for my son too

It's complicated for surname. Requires a court process and your husbands consent, physically or through a notary public. Change of first and second names don't require so much.
Maymum:

Yes, I have. Would like to know if anyone else has had same issue. The process appears quite complicated and would involve DH coming over.

Have you contacted the department that provides birth certificates to complain and enquire on the next steps?
You will probably need to swear to an affidavit in cour and also pay some fees for the change.

It will surely pose a problem, but u can only avert the problem by making sure u got a Nigeria passport for him.It appears to them that he has overstayed his visa and the only way out is for u to wait and get a nigerian Passport for him to avoid unforeseen circumstances that might occour at the Airport with Nigerian immigration.

Tx a lot

You dont need to do anything, just hold his blue passport when you are travelling. If he still has a valid nigerian visa on the passport and it will still be valid till you return, you dont need a Nigerian passport for him.

Pls can anyone verify this inforinformation? On my son's American passport he was stamped in for 1 months stay in Nigeria. Now there are no passport booklets available at the passport offices. I hope this won't pose a problem when we are travelling?

If you have someone in Dallas who can help, have them go to Baylor, Irving to find out their self pay rates. I'm saying this because when I called the number I found online (thinking back now, I think it's a general Baylor call Centre) they gave me those high costs you talked about and mentioned it was the same across all the Baylors.

I ended up using Baylor, White Rock and they had a lower cash pay rate just like Baylor Carrollton. So I feel like a financial counselor stationed at Baylor Irving'll definitely know better. Before I travelled I said I'd go and make this inquiry but for some reason, I didn't. Also consider checking Baylor Grapevine, it's not far from Baylor Irving.

Tx a lot!

You get dr's correspondence from a doctor affiliated with the hospital and not the hospital itself.

As for getting an email from the hospital, I wonder why they would refuse. I spoke with the financial counsellor at their hospital in Carrollton and she broke it all down for me. I asked that she send their self pay document via mail and also the fee schedule which she did. After that all discussions between us were via email.

Thanks. It was the Financial Counselor at Irving I spoke with though not Carrolton. Will sort it out tommorow. Tx

@MiddyO please ask your question here.

Hi how are you doing? Please how were you able to get Dr's Correspondence for Baylor Scott and White Hospital. They refused to send anything to me via email the prices being quoted over the phone are higher than what other people said on the thread. Tx

I think the 40 days was trigger especially as you claimed to be visiting. If you re apply so soon and your story changes to childbirth, it will be deemed that you lied or misrepresented certain facts at your last interview. You should have simple stated you were going to give birth and taken all your necessary documents eg Dr's correspondence along.

Good day beautiful pple,

I had my son in Dallas May 2015 and visa was issued based on child birth. I think that I am few weeks preggy and intend to renew my visa that will expire this February.

Does drop box still exist cos I tot that base on some changes made this trump era, that there is no drop box again. Does drop box still exit and has anyone renewed lately via drop box.

Getting the whole thing mixed up in my head

Yes drop box still exists and yes the 2 year visa still exists. Renewed my visa recently and wasn't called for an interview despite the reason for the visa being childbirth. So don't be anxious. You will be fine.

Good Morning,

Please you mentioned cerclage. I want to find out if its advisable to remove the cerclage here in Nigeria or wait to get to the US. Also is there any cost implication if it will taken out in US, was it done at the Doctor's office or at the hospital. Will appreciate a quick response please as i intend to travel in 2 weeks.

Please don't remove the cerclage, it was placed there for a reason (to ensure you carry your baby to term). If you take it out chances are that you may go into pre mature labour.

Mine was removed when I had false contractions a few weeks to delivery and I was induced 2 weeks later. I wasn't charged extra for it. It takes less than 5mins to take it out and doesn't require anaesthesia.

pls DW wants to fly Turkish airlines @ 35wks,5days. Their policy says pregnant women expecting one baby is not allowed to fly (even with FIT TO FLY CERT) after 35wks.

In my opinion their policy is clear enough, don't fly after 35 weeks. Maybe your wife should travel before 35weeks to be on the safe side.

Awwww. Sorry about the last denial.

Why western union? Can't they pay to a US bank.account while you arrange to get the cash from the account owner?

Exacty! This sounds easier and more straightforward. This was what I did when I couldn't make it to Elpaso in 2015. They deducted some money I think 150 dollars then for bank charges and I got my money in less than 24hrs.

you have to rush.. it's 1 year o . They wrote 4 years on their website but when you are completing the appointment form then you will see its 1 year.

I have gone through the process before so, i know what am talking about.

I just did an application recently and it still states 48 months on the form. Which is 4 years.

[quote author=tolopez post=52579790]Hello House,

Its been lovely following all the posts on this thread from Part 1 to 5. I especially found posts by @MiddyO and @NikkyK on OB Packages available at JPS Hospital very useful.
Hello sorry about the delay in responding not sure I got a notification from Naira land about your mail.

The thing with JPS is that it's a County Hospital therefore its difficult to get correspondence from a particular Doctor. Different Doctors see you at every appointment unless you are high risk. Even at that you never know who you are seeing next. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am a May mom and will be going back to Dallas in March. If you have any other questions please let me know.
