Talking Tom is @ it again.. "There has been more corruption under this government than any other government in the history of Nigeria. (THAT IS A FACT). And that's something Nigeria pple have to live with. They are INCOMPETENT, they are CORRUPT, they are IRRESPONSIBLE, they have turned our country into an abbattoir where blood is flowing everyday. Nigerians are bn killed by Boko Haram" - FFK "The only way forward for this country, for each and every one of us now, is to join hands with the APC governors, join hands with Buhari, with Tinubu, EL-Rufai and all the others and move the country forward and fight the PDP" - FFK "Buhari is surrounded by corrupt, dishonest, incompetent irresponsible and perverse souls" - FFK (2015) LESSON: Whoever finds what this glutton sayz pleasing, will defin8ly dance to the noise of the bees. |
ABUJA- PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, PDPPCO yesterday took a swipe at the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, retd, saying President Goodluck Jonathan has successfully fought corruption, just as it stressed that Buhari cannot give what he does not have. Reacting to Buhari’s declaration on how he would fight corruption through Public declaration of assets by the President and all his aides, the Director, Media and Publicity of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode ranked President Jonathan better than his predecessors in office in the fight against corruption. In a statement yesterday, Fani- Kayode who noted that President Jonathan has successfully plugged all loopholes which corrupt persons take advantage of to operate freely in the country, however declared that the APC Presidential candidate has no wherewithal to fight corruption against the backdrop that he was not only surrounded by corrupt men, but also unable to give what he does not have. According to Fani-Kayode, “more than any other President in the history of Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan has fought corruption and has successfully plugged all the loopholes that allow corrupt persons to operate freely and with impunity in our country. “His reforms in the agricultural sector with special reference to the new system for the procurement of fertiliser and his reforms in NNPC and the whole area of oil subsidies prove this. Millions of dollars have been saved in these areas alone as a consequence of Mr. President’s new and innovative initiatives. “His focus is not just on arresting people without any credible evidence and parading them before television cameras in handcuffs. He believes in fighting corruption in a responsible, humane and credible manner with special emphasis on civil liberties, human rights and the rule of law. “Unlike others that came before him, he believes that the fight against corruption should not be selective and neither does he believe in using the security agencies to intimidate or persecute innocent people or his perceived enemies. This was not the case up until he became President and everyone knows this. “With respect to General Buhari, it is clear to the discerning that he is the last person that can offer and deliver a credible and honest fight against corruption simply because the rule of law and due process are completely alien concepts to him. The truth is that the man belongs to the dark ages and he cannot rid himself of that mindset. “The government that he led between 1983 and 1985 did not fight corruption but was, in fact, the biggest manifestation of corruption and abuse of power in the history of Nigeria. He jailed innocent people and sent many to their early graves for no just cause. He also applied retroactive legislation to kill people. “Buhari says he now wants to fight corruption but the truth is that this is a contradiction in terms and it cannot be so simply because he is surrounded by some of the most corrupt, dishonest, incompetent, irresponsible and perverse souls in Nigeria. Anyone that doubts this just needs to consider the names of some of those that are leading his party. “A snake cannot give birth to a lion and a monkey cannot bake bread. Buhari cannot give what he does not have. He cannot fight corruption because he is surrounded by those that bask in it. His latest song about fighting corruption does not make sense simply because his party is the greatest promoter of lies, deceit, doublespeak, dishonesty and subterfuge on the African continent. “His promise to fight corruption must be taken with a pinch of salt and can best be described by Shakespeare’s famous words when he said ‘it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing’.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/buhari-is-surrounded-by-corrupt-dishonest-incompetent-irresponsible-perverse-souls-pdp/ |

ASABA-LEADERSHIP of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the South South region, yesterday warned the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC not to use the card reader to rig the party out of power in the March 28 presidential election. Handing the warning during the South South zonal executive meeting of the party, in Asaba, chairman of the PDP in the zone, Dr Cairo Ojuogbo said the zone was against the decision of INEC to make its chairman, Prof Attaihiru Jega the sole of appointee of collation officers across States in the federation for the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections. Ojuogbo however said the PDP in South South was not against the card reader, but it should not be used to disenfranchise eligible voters from casting their votes, stressing that anybody with the Permanent Voters Card, PVC should be allowed to vote. Disclosing that whether the card reader would be used for the election or not, he said the issue was being handled by the party at the national level. On the appointment of collation officers, he alleged that Prof Jega had already directed one his aids who is a card carrying member of the APC to nominate those to be appointed as collation officers for the elections. According to him, INEC has a chairman and 12 commissioners with two being appointed from each of the zones in the country, adding that the commissioners from the zones should be allowed to appoint collation officers in their areas and not only the chairman solely making the appointments. Speaking further, Ojougbo said the South South region would give bloc votes for President Goodluck Jonathan, insisting that the party has worked very hard to earn the votes of the people. He commended party faithful for their commitment towards the reelection of Dr Goodluck Jonathan and expressed optimism that their efforts would yield positive results. Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Dr Steve Oru, who also spoke during the meeting, assured that the people of the South South region would vote enmasse for the PDP. Chairman of the party in the Delta Central, Chief Tom Amioku who spoke in the same vain enjoined the party leadership not to be disturbed with the rumour making the rounds that the urhobos would not vote for the PDP The PDP Governorship flagbearer in Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa said he was confident of victory for PDP in all the elections, adding that the party was not scared of loosing any of the elections because it was working hard to secure the peoples votes. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/dont-use-card-reader-to-rig-us-out-of-power-pdp-warns-jega/ |

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Campaign Organisation, Muhammadu Buhari, has deplored the frequent resort to violence to deal with perceived grievances by the people. Reacting to the incident at Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, where dozens, mainly women and children were killed in cold blood by suspected herdsmen, the APC presidential candidate said in a statement in Abuja on Monday that the resort to violence in whatever form is not acceptable and justifiable, no matter the grievances. Garba Shehu, Director of Media and Publicity of the APC presidential campaign organization, quoted Mr. Buhari as saying that the cordial relationships that once existed between and among the people have been replaced by intolerance and hate. According to the statement, leadership is the key to dealing with frequent communal clashes between Fulanis and Benue communities over disputes about farmlands and grazing lands. Mr. Buhari said political leaders should be able to build trust among the people as the basis for dialogue, adding that “if the people can no longer listen to their leaders, such crises might persist and make life more miserable for the people”. While condoling the families of the of the victims of violence in Benue State, Mr. Buhari called on all politicians regardless of partisan divide, to unite and speak with one voice over these embarrassing incidents. He explained that confidence building is the only approach the people that could bring the people together for dialogue at the negotiation table, adding that “in moments of tensions, leaders should rise to the occasion and be part of the solution”. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/178572-buhari-condemns-benue-killings.html |

All thanks to JEGA for refusing to dance to the tune of the PDP..Now the card readers are there to ensure flawless victory for the General. Sai BUHARI!!! |
The head of Nigeria’s electoral body said on Monday it was ready to conduct presidential and parliamentary elections in less than two weeks’ time, after the vote was delayed by security concerns. Attahiru Jega told a meeting in the capital city Abuja that his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had done “everything humanly possible” for a free, fair, credible and peaceful vote on March 28. INEC has come under close scrutiny since last month when Jega was forced to postpone the February 14 general election on the grounds that troops could not provide adequate security on polling day. Nigerian soldiers, backed by troops from Cameroon, Chad and Niger, are currently involved in a major offensive against Boko Haram, which has seized swathes of territory in Nigeria’s northeast. The Islamist insurgency, which began in 2009, has killed more than 13,000 people and forced hundreds of thousands more to flee, raising the prospect that the displaced will be unable to vote. Despite a series of claimed military successes, security fears remain over the safety of polling stations after an increase in bomb and suicide attacks in recent weeks. Jega maintained that the election would be peaceful, despite the insurgency and election-linked violence, and said the six-week delay had given his organisation more time to prepare. A week before February 14, INEC said that two-thirds (66.5 percent) of the 68.8 million registered voters had collected their ID cards, prompting claims that it was unprepared. On Monday, Jega said 67.8 million cards had been produced and distributed to individual states, including to the internally displaced, who would be able to vote near camps in the north. But he added: “The level of collection… nationwide is about 56 million out of these 68.8 million (81 percent). “So, there are millions of cards out there that… people have not gone out and collected.” President Goodluck Jonathan’s ruling party has raised concerns about the use of electronic card readers, claiming it is untested technology, as well as the rate of distribution of cards. But Jega said the card readers, which scan fingerprints and record personal data against the electoral roll, will work and reduce the possibility of the persistent problem of fraud. Cloned cards would not work, he said, adding that INEC had “cleaned” the electoral register since the last vote in 2011, removing over four million multiple registrations. Jonathan is seeking a second term in office but has faced a strong challenge from the main opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari, a former military ruler. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/jega-says-inec-ready-for-free-fair-credible-elections/ |
