Fayose, (loose mouth) talking as if victory is sure for them..mayb he thinks the "uniform men" that helped rig ekiti election will give them victory in this too. |
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, has advised the All Progressives Congress ( APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to take the outcome of the forth coming presidential election in good faith, saying he should stop inciting his supporters to cause mayhem after his defeat at the poll. According to Fayose,Gen Buhari and some of the candidates of the APC for the National Assembly will meet their waterloos after the Saturday’s election,’while most of them will be forced to retire from politics In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti yesterday,Fayose boasted that Buhari and his supporters would be taught a bitter lesson that elections are not won on pages of newspapers and through sheer propaganda. The governor said the impending defeat for the APC would put an end to propaganda, bad mouthing and the noise of the APC, “because lies will always fail, while truth will stand the test of time.” Fayose said it was imperative to offer the advice because of Buhari’s antecedent of inciting people to violence as his own response to defeat in elections, adding that APC had always believed that any election it did not win was rigged. He said, “The reason APC will fail woefully is because people have come to know it as a party which a predominantly peopled by a set of liars, deceits and hypocrites who should not be entrusted with the leadership of this country. ”I can say it categorically that Buhari will be beaten silly and I am advising Buhari and his APC to take the impending defeat philosophically as an act of God. ”May be after this election, the party will change its name from APC to Panadol.” Speaking further, Fayose said the APC represented bad luck for Nigeria, maintaining that there was nothing in the antecedents of the retired army general and other leaders of the APC that suggested any good thing for the nation and the people. He added that Buhari’s stint as Head of State was characterised by pains and woes. Meanwhile, the governor has said the APC should stop deceiving itself by saying the APC’s presidential candidate would win the Saturday’s election in the state According to him,no amount of commissioned opinion polls would change the minds of the people of the state to vote for APC candidates Fayose said Nigerians will never succumb to the deceit and falsehood of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying; “It is self deceit taken too far for anyone to list Ekiti as part of States to be won by the APC in the Saturday’s presidential election.” The governor urged Nigerians to disregard the orchestrated opinion polls being published since Saturday in some newspapers, adding that; “Fake opinion polls won’t assist the APC, the way it did not assist the party in the June 21, 2014 Ekiti governorship election.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/buhari-should-take-outcome-of-election-in-good-faith-fayose/ |

The immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom, Victor Attah, has launched a rare public criticism on his successor, Godswill Akpabio, and campaigned for the governorship candidate of an opposition party. For the first time since he left office in 2007, Mr. Attah, Saturday, publicly attacked Mr. Akpabio, describing the latter’s senatorial aspiration as not only hypocritical, but deceitful. The former governor, who is a founding member of Nigeria’s ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and is a member of the party’s Board of Trustees, spoke at a rally of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in Uyo, the state capital. Though he said he remained a member of the PDP, Mr. Attah said he had to campaign for the APC due to “compelling circumstances” to lead Akwa Ibom residents to make and implement a succession plan in the 2015 elections in the interest of the state. To justify his action, Mr. Attah reiterated President Goodluck Jonathan’s statement during the latter’s campaign rally in Akure, Ondo State, on January 28 that because politics is about people, he cannot be a leader if he fails to do what his people want. He said the overwhelming wish of Akwa Ibom residents in the April election was to support a governorship candidate of their choice and not one imposed on them. “I am a leader of my people. My people do not want anyone to be imposed on them as governor. They want Umanah Okon Umanah as their governor,” Mr. Attah stated. Mr. Umanah, a commissioner in the administrations of both Messrs. Attah and Akpabio, is the governorship candidate of the APC, a party he joined from the PDP after falling out with the outgoing governor. His main challenger is Udom Emmanuel of the PDP who is supported by the outgoing Mr. Akpabio. Defending his decision to support the opposition candidate, Mr. Attah said, “As a prime advocate of power shift (zoning) among the major component tribes of the state, I always believed it was logical to assume that after Uyo and Ikot Ekpene senatorial districts produced the governor, it should be the turn of Eket. “But, the present posturing of those now parading themselves as champions of zoning is not only hypocritical, but deceitful,” he said in apparent reference to Mr. Akpabio who has made reference to the zoning as one of his reasons for anointing Mr. Emmanuel. Speaking further, Mr. Attah said he would support the restoration of the zoning principle in the future, but it should to be jettisoned in 2015 as certain other compelling reasons cannot be satisfied with zoning alone. The ex-governor mentioned the example of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, who he said not only withdrew his support for a governorship candidate, but also abandoned his senatorial ambition in 2015 in the interest of justice, equity and fair play, in order to save the PDP in Delta from crisis. “In Akwa Ibom, everybody knows that it is the turn of Abak Federal Constituency to produce the next senator. So, why is His Excellency, Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio insisting on contesting that position, if at all he believes in zoning?” Mr. Attah asked rhetorically. Criticizing his successor’s ambition as “very provoking and totally unacceptable”, the former governor urged all indigenes of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district to team up with the people of Abak and support the APC senatorial candidate against Mr. Akpabio. On the governorship election, Mr. Attah said political leaders in the state had resolved to resist any form of imposition after they failed to get a level playing field that would allow the people’s collective will to prevail. According to the former governor, Mr. Emmanuel, the PDP candidate, was not nominated by the PDP but by Mr. Akpabio. “The governor told us that in fact it was the wife, the so-called ‘Mother Theresa’ of Akwa Ibom State that discovered and sponsored Udom Emmanuel. And he, ‘The Imperial Majesty’, is determined to impose him on us as puppeteer on the throne,” he told the crowd. “A surrogate of Godswill Akpabio must not be allowed to govern us” the former governor said. “Akwa Ibom, listen to what I say, Umanah Okon Umanah is the man.” http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/178911-pdp-national-leader-declares-support-for-apc-candidates-in-akwa-ibom.html |

Boyoorisha:Just of recent, Fayose's younger brother, Isaac called him a shame..that's to show how much disgrace this man has brought upon his family and the entirety of ekiti pple. http://www.theelitesng.com/governor-fayoses-family-crisis-deepens-brother-isaac-calls-him-a-shame/ In most families, you ll find a black sheep or 2..the kinda black sheep Fayose is haz got black blood running through his veins.. I always wonder how Ekiti ended up with him as their governor. Could it be as a result of the alleged uniform men's involvement in the election? Or the stomach driven infrastructure he provided for the Ekiti pple? Or jst an incorrigible mistake made by the Ekiti pple? And on a rare thought, could it be gullibility on their part? Hmm...I can feel their pain. I know they must be regretting by now.. The Fayose family and the Ekiti pple should worry less...it will soon come to an end when power changes hand..All they need to do is to join hands with the well meaning Nigerians to ensure power changes hands so that the needful can be done VoteBUHARI/OSINBAJO VoteAPC

Women groups of the All Progressives Congress and Labour Party in Ekiti State have vowed to protect their votes during the March 28 presidential poll in spite of “vote and go home order” of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba. They spoke under the platform of Action Group of the APC on Saturday during an APC Women Summit organised in Ado Ekiti to drum support for the party’s presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN). The summit was attended by the LP women and supporters of a member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele. A Labour Party Chieftain, Chief Remi Oguntuase, said Nigerians were tired of the Peoples Democratic Party’s 16 years of misrule, saying Buhari/Osinbajo would usher in a new lease of life that would turn around the fortunes of the country Speaking on behalf of the women, former Commissioners under Kayode Fayemi-led government, Mrs. Ronke Okunsanya and Mrs. Bunmi Dipo-Salami , as well as the APC Women leader, Mrs. Modupe Ogundipe, reiterated the commitment of the women to stand against any form of rigging during the poll. Delivering a paper at the summit, the Executive Director, Women Advocate Research and Documentation Centre, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, said there was no law in the land that barred the electorate from standing–by and protect their votes. She lamented that election rigging had always been the cause of violence in the country since 1922. The Human Rights Activist urged the women to become advocates of peace and ensure that they go out massively to exercise their civic rights during next Saturday’s election. She said, “Women have been known to be great mobilisers and advocates of peace. We must come out in this election. We have gone through the period of collection of PVCs and the next time is the period of mandate protection. “The 1959, 64, 65, 79,83 and up to 2007, elections were largely flawed and riddled with violence because of rigging. But the 2011 elections were better because Nigerians voted and protected their votes. “We should do everything possible to stand against poll riggers or voting for those that will ruin our future. That is why we should not only vote, but we should vote right. “If you think what Nigeria is passing through is not good, the only tool that we can use is our votes. It is our votes that can bring regular power supply, affordable and qualitative education and what can show that Nigeria belongs to all of us.” The Gender Activist lamented that parents of over 200 girls that were abducted by Boko Haram Insurgents in Chibok, Borno State last year April had yet to recover from the trauma, saying this was enough to ensure the elections were free, fair and credible. Expressing regret that some politicians had turned elections into a warfare, Akiyode-Afolabi, said it was rather disgraceful that Nigerians were relocating abroad just because of elections, which he said ought to be a civil matter. http://www.punchng.com/news/apc-lp-women-groups-vow-to-protect-their-votes/ |
