francizy:bro, if we must be frank with ourselves, Buhari is a better candidate compared to GEJ.. Buhari's zero tolerance to corruption is enof for me among other qualities. He tried his best during his regime despite the fact that he had his turn in uniform(when he could abuse power but didn't) and couldn't rule up to 2yrs. Its sad to see pple compare Buhari with GEJ..if we must speak the truth, the major problem of Nigeria now is corruption..this is the root of these problems (insecurity, unemployment, inadequate infrastructure etc)..tackle corruption to a large extent and u ll see the Nigeria we dream of.. Buhari can do it and he will do it, by the grace of God. |

At the mention of witch, many would take to their heels even though it is difficult to pin point who really is a witch. While others are hiding, Dr Okhue Iboi is a bold witch and an herbalist born with strange features. He doesn’t hide his identity. As the National Coordinator and Spokesman of Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN), he has made headlines of several national dailies with his spiritual revelations. In this interview with News Editor, Ajibola Abayomi, he was down-to-earth about the group and spoke about activities of witches and their intentions. Who are witches? Witches are normal people like every other human being. Some are nice while some are wicked. Witches are everywhere; they are found in the church, mosque, government agencies and other human endeavours. Spiritually, some of them have five or six eyeballs They are creatures of God. Many of them are among shakers and movers of opinions in the society. However, not all witches are bad. It depends on the side you belong to. I am a member of the white witch group that is pure at heart. Those who are black witches are not like us. They are very difficult. As an herbalist, I have used my god-given powers to assist many people and companies to bounce back to life. I have rescued several people from abject poverty; so also many companies that have closed shop were resuscitated through me. I give God all the glory. I am not created for evil. Anyone that partakes in evil act will never progress because there is nothing that is hidden forever. You used to comment on political issues, what is the spirit telling you about the general elections? I am not supporting any politician. I warned former Vice President Atiku Abubarka not to contest against President Goodluck Jonathan four years ago, that he would be defeated that the action won’t make him return to power again. Not only him, I also warned General Ibrahim Babangida not to attempt it too. His spokesman then, Kassim Afegbua, said some witches said Babangida would win. I hope they know better now. We just held a meeting of witches in Kogi State where it was revealed to me that Jonathan would win the presidential election. He has the support of all witches to continue in office. I don’t see General Mohammadu Buhari ruling this country. We don’t have a political party but if anyone seeks our help, we shall render it. There was a time witches in Benue State invited other witches across the country to offer prayers for the Senate President, David Mark, against impeachment. We flew to Otukpo and later to a village called Owetor. That was where we offered the prayers. Was the Senate President involved and was he at the venue of the prayer? No, he was not there. I told you that it was the witches in Benue State that initiated the prayer session. David Mark did not know about it. The Benue witches said that him, being a son and their pride, they don’t want him to be disgraced from office like many of his predecessors through impeachment. How far can your votes assist Mr. President, what is the population of your members and are you registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)? We are uncountable. We don’t have any register but we know ourselves. Registration is alien to our culture. That is an English idea. We are working to invent our own aircraft just like the airplane. We have been travelling round the globe with the wooden one we have. Our last international meeting was held in Tanzania. We are planning to hold another one in Kenya soon. The focus of our meeting is to ensure that all the bad things brought to Africa are wiped out. Those who colonised our forefathers made use of witchcraft power but they never disclosed that to anyone. How did you people fly to Benue State, did you go through the airport or through your spiritual links? (Laugh) We flew there through our own airport. We have our own plane that takes us across the globe. How does the plane look? You can’t see it. Are you implying that you people turned to birds and flew down there? Yes. I have told you that we have our own plane made of planks. When you enter it, you can fly to anywhere in the world without problem. Let me continue my story about the prayer we offered for David Mark. It was in 2012. When we went to Benue for the prayer, it was also revealed that President Jonathan has been ordained to continue his reign in 2015. The witches in the Northern states were the ones that moved the motion in support of Jonathan and all of us voted for him. They said they loved what he has done for the Northerners in the area of road constructions, schools, agriculture and other amenities their children have benefited from. What is the interest of the witches in Jonathan’s projects? Are you implying that a woman around Mr. President is your member? No, that is not the case. I am putting the record straight; please no woman around Mr. President is our member. Witches and wizards are also human beings that are entitled to good things of life. What do you mean? We have members across the country in high and low places. Many prominent people in the society are our members. They are both within and outside the government. Specifically, what has the President done for the witches to warrant their support for his re-election apart from what you mentioned? Everything he is doing in the country, our members are benefiting from it. Therefore, we wasted no time in endorsing him. What do you foresee happening during and after the elections? President Jonathan will win the election and violence will erupt after the announcement of the result. However, the tension that will pervade the nation will subside with prayers from Nigerians because we are a nation of prayer warriors. Does the spirit also tell you who will succeed the President? After his second term, power will return to the North. As at now, the identity of the person that will succeed him is yet to be revealed. We shall know the fellow by 2017. Beside election matters, what other message do you have for the nation? From this year, our economy will witness a turn-around and power will be stable. Investors will flood the nation and those living abroad will return home. If the government can trust us, we can help to eradicate Boko Haram. We know what to tell Jonathan and the leader of the sect will be caught without stress. He will come out by himself from his hiding. Must you see Mr. President before you make the sect leader surrender? There are certain things we have to do that are beyond my capacity. If the President invites me, I shall reveal the way out to him. The moment the leader of the sect is caught, their operation will collapse. We have seen witches that confessed that they had used their children to redeem pledges, as members of the cult. Do you deny that? Those are people who belong to the black witch society. They or their siblings may have eaten human flesh as members of such society. Therefore, there is no way if that happened that they would not be requested to provide their own meat in return. Whoever kills will surely be killed in return. Anyone with witchcraft powers can only harm members of his or her family. If anyone suffers witchcraft attack, definitely one of the fellow’s family members is a witch. No witch operates outside his or her own family. If they do, then they will be overstepping their boundary. In your own group, what do you people demand in exchange for pledges? We don’t demand anything in return as members of white witch society. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/shocking-revelation-witches-back-jonathan-beat-buhari/

Like Godfather, like "Godson"..Clueless hatmen I wonder where Edwin Clark learnt to talk like Fayose and FFK...This defeat is seriously staring them in their ugly faces. Bunch of losers/failures |
Ijaw leader and former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark, said on Friday that having compromised his stance on corruption by promising not to punish corrupt officials between 1999 and 2015, Gen Muhammadu Buhari has lost his unique selling point – fight against corruption – and as such has lost the major plank of his campaign. It is widely believed that Buhari’s new stance on anti-corruption fight was to avoid dealing with one of the key leaders of his party, the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Bola Tinubu, who is perceived to have corruptly enriched himself while in office as Lagos State governor between 1999 and 2007. Clark, while addressing a press conference on Friday in Abuja, said that with the renewed offensive against the Boko Haram insurgency by President Goodluck Jonathan, Buhari has nothing more to offer as his campaign promise is hinged primarily on fighting the insurgents and corruption. He however called on President Goodluck Jonathan to reorganise the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to give the anti-graft agency more powers to fight corruption and other related financial crimes in the country. According to Clark, "Given that nothing substantial is being done to fight corruption, one is primed to advise Mr. President to immediately reorganise the EFCC to effectively discharge of its mandate. "In all advanced democracies, anti graft agencies would swing into action following the kind of revelations and allegations against most people walking free on our streets today. Unfortunately, our own anti-graft agencies have simply adopted a siddon-look position. What a shame." Clark who lampooned the APC presidential candidate for his compromise in his campaign promises, said, "General Muhammadu Buhari has always anchored his campaign promises on two cardinal planks: to wipe out insecurity and corruption. With the renewed offensive against the terrorists leading to the killing and dislodgement of the Boko Haram anarchists, the first campaign plank of Buhari has been given a technical knockout by President Goodluck Jonathan and the whole world is witnessing the reclaiming of all territories hitherto held by Boko Haram. "This leaves him on a one legged platform. Again, on the remaining – corruption - General Buhari himself got jittery and gave himself another technical knockout when he said that he will not probe past leaders. "With this development, Buhari has conceded that he has nothing more to offer the good people's of this country. In fact, I make bold to say that he is now standing for nothing and like they say he can fall for anything." http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/clark-how-buhari-got-himself-out-of-the-presidential-race/204002/ |

President Goodluck Jonathan admitted Friday that he did not speak on telephone with the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, as claimed last week by the Nigerian foreign affairs ministry, an apparently false claim that sparked a diplomatic spat between the two countries with Morocco recalling its ambassador. The president has ordered a full investigation into the scandal and has promised to sanction the foreign affairs official who made that claim, a statement from his office said. Mr. Jonathan was “shocked, surprised and highly embarrassed by the controversy that has erupted over whether or not he had a telephone conversation with His Majesty, King Mohammed VI of Morocco,” the statement said. Diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Morocco worsened Tuesday after the North African country recalled its ambassador from Abuja, following the telephone call row. The controversy began after Morocco revealed last week that its leader rejected a request from Mr. Jonathan for a conversation. The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said the request was a devious move by Mr. Jonathan to curry electoral favour than a genuine diplomatic move. “The request by Nigerian authorities for a phone conversation between HM King Mohammed VI and Nigerian President was refused by the Monarch who deemed it inappropriate on grounds of the upcoming elections in Nigeria,” the statement read. However, on Monday, the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement refuting the claim of the Moroccans. The Nigerian foreign ministry claimed that King Mohammed IV of Morocco spoke to President Jonathan from France where he had gone for a visit. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also denied that the phone call was intended to confer electoral gains on Mr. Jonathan who faces a crucial electoral challenge from an invigorated opposition in two weeks. “Since the King was in France and not in Morocco, both leaders spoke extensively over the telephone on matters of mutual interest and concern that have nothing to do with the conduct of re-scheduled elections in Nigeria. “It is therefore preposterous to suggest that Mr President’s telephone call to the Moroccan monarch was intended to confer any electoral advantage on the President,” the statement read. The North African nation responded furiously Tuesday, denying the claim by the Nigerian authorities, and recalling its ambassador. The office of Mohammed VI denied the king ever spoke to the Nigerian president. It issued a statement describing Nigeria’s claim that a discussion took place between King Mohammed and President Jonathan as “unethical practices”. The statement said it wished to state in the “clearest and strongest terms” that “there has never been a phone conversation” between the two leaders. “The King’s Office categorically denies the false allegations made by Nigerian authorities about an alleged phone conversation between the Sovereign and Nigerian President,” the statement said. A statement signed by Reuben Abati, the spokesperson for Mr. Jonathan, said the furore generated over the matter was due “entirely to misinformation as President Jonathan has neither spoken with King Mohammed nor told anybody that he had a telephone conversation with the Moroccan Monarch”. “It is true that President Jonathan has been speaking with some African leaders to seek their support for Nigeria’s candidate for the position of President of the African Development Bank (AfDB). “In continuation of his efforts in support of the candidacy of the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina for headship of the AfDB, President Jonathan indicated that he would like to speak with the King of Morocco, the President of Algeria and the President of Egypt. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was consequently directed to make necessary contacts with the embassies of the three countries and arrange for President Jonathan to speak with their leaders. “Since that directive was given, President Jonathan has spoken with the Prime Minister of Algeria and subsequently sent Vice President Namadi Sambo to Algiers as Special Envoy to follow-up on his discussions with the Algerian Prime Minister on support for Nigeria’s candidate in the coming elections for the AfDB Presidency. “The President has, however, not yet spoken with King Mohammed VI and President Al-Sisi of Egypt as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must know. The statement said President Jonathan has ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali, to urgently undertake a full investigation of the claim which emanated from the Ministry that the President spoke with King Mohammed VI. “The investigation is to identify all those who were responsible for the unacceptable act of official misinformation which has resulted in an unnecessary diplomatic row with another country and national embarrassment,” the statement said. “It is also expected to unveil the motives of the culprits. “President Jonathan has also ordered that prompt and commensurate disciplinary action be taken against the culpable person or persons. President Jonathan also criticised the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, which has since called for an investigation into the matter. “While awaiting the outcome of the investigations, President Jonathan urges Nigerians to disregard the vituperations of opposition elements, who have, true to type, latched on to the regrettable faux pas as a fresh opportunity to unpatriotically denigrate the government of their country and advance their irresponsible quest for victory at any price in the coming elections,” the statement said. Nigeria and Morocco have a history of frosty diplomatic relation due to the former’s support and recognition of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic declared by the separatist group, the Polisario Front. The Polisario Front, which is backed by Morocco’s neighbour, Algeria, seeks an independence for the Western Sahara region of Morocco, a move the Monarch has violently resisted. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/178441-breaking-jonathan-admits-nigeria-lied-over-morocco-phone-row-orders-probe.html |
