99.9% of us practice the religion we practice today because we were born into it. If we had the choice to choose from heaven, many of us won't be Muslims or Christians today.

What did your father do for Kwarans and Kwara? Kwara state would have been close to Lagos in terms of development if not for the bondage your father put her. He impoverished her people to a point that amala and ewedu became more attractive to them than basic amenities.
