gidgiddy: I agree that an independent Niger Delta Republic is to Biafras interest. What I disagree with is that it is anybody's job, except themselves, to give it to them.
IPOB and MASSOB have been bleeding and sweating for years to bring Biafra to the national consciousness. There isnt one single organisation out there championing the cause of a Niger Delta Republic
What have these tribes ever done to promote Niger Delta Republic? Nothing
The only time you ever hear of Niger Delta Republic is when Ijaws celebrate Adaka Boro day.
Everybody should carry his own cross this is to show u that they are not serious .and should be Left |

This is the best agenda for us and not Kanu's IPOB. bro it seems kanu ipob is the only pressure hitting Nigeria only if he could listen and stop fighting for every Tom .dickkkkkk.and Harry and focus on emancipation of ndi igbo.we would Ave gone a long way |

They even did a DNA test last year and proved it wrong. It’s just a myth.
My stance is that if it could help us gain sympathy and support in times of war from Israel, then the myth is worth it. The road to freedom is very messy.
I have said mine. Argue with your igbo ancestors. nekwa na Anya ooo... I don't care. If itx the only way to get out of Nigeria.. It is worth it |

I have a feeling that he will win because after the TV news, I am sure so many Israelis went online immediately to look up Biafra and learn for themselves what is going on in Nigeria. thank you boss. And with all this current Jewish witch hunting going on in America.... That is to show the world that Jews are in trouble and Nigeria Jews are also in trouble...lol. I love this |

Purehuman: The Ijaws love the way we do not have control of the sea. If we gain access, we become too powerful to control. Will they love to release the land to the igbos, I seriously doubt the possibility.
What is our best shot? Can we lure the less aggressive Efiks, annangs and oron (Akwa ibom) to a round table and discuss business with them. They get to control the oil/gas and sea access and all other assets they might have. We can even tell them that they will be given a Lagos status. We can also rouse their emotions by using the last Biafran president, Phillip effiong to show that they can still rule the entity Biafra.
If they are smart, they will know that they are actually solving a real problem for 40million people who are heavily business conscious and they will never be poor with such realities.
Why am I running away from Ikwerre enclaves? Ijaws are nursing leadership of the Niger delta in their hearts and it will be very difficult for them to start losing territory that will make dem smaller. They will not agree with us. Opobo as we all know answer to ijaws in the state, so we cannot agree any terms with opobo without first getting the ijaws in line.
We can agree with the federal government to cede Rivers for Akwa ibom state. Since no real investment from the federal government in the state unlike Rivers, they will fight less. apt. And also we igbos in abia state ave a lot of cultural affiliation with them. Where I come from. There are ibibios influence on us in terms of dressing. Names. Even the ekpe and the rest.. Our last resort should be a river port. Rivers are owned by the countries they flow tru.
That is why nigeria gives ghana people electricity....to stop them from daming their portion of the niger.
We should only resort to our rivers if everything we do to have direct access to the sea fails.

Bede2u: u are correct. But i dont think yorubas wanna leave nigeria. About 40% of them are muslims and see the north as their brothers. Some yorubas in ilorin are also part fulani....plus dangote, dantata and a lot of northern oligarchs own lagos. Yorubas have everything they need in one nigeria. And u know most of their leaders are yoruba and pro- north
I agree that niger delta will want to leave once igbos leave. We should help FG ensure that doesnt happen. If we buy parts of khana and opobo from either FG or the indegenes themselves, we would be splitting the niger delta into two. Awka-cross on one side and rivers, bayelsa delta on another....making it hard for them to agree.
We might even under-take a defence pact with nigeria to help them fight ND millitants once they start agitating..
We would have our sea access and still help the FG keep peace in their oil region. How much do u think the area in question might cost compared to how easy it will make life for future igbos. The area in question isnt worth much today because of oil polution. Imagine if we buy it, clean it up and build a sea port in it. Our children will be proud of such a deft move. And ikwerre will hate as usual. u are mmaadddd. |

People from that area also know that their environment is beyond repair. Even Briggs once said that Ogoni clean up is totally impossible. They are just using that clean up to siphon public fund. true talk. One of my paddy who is a petrol chemical engineer served there.. They were been taught by Bulgarian. One day there was a massive oil spillage.. They wanted to cover it up but my paddy and the rest who was serving there protested that this is not what they taught them about handling oil spillage if such an incident occurs. The Bulgarians didn't care. They called the village chiefs and bribed them with huge amount of money. Millions of of naira and they became silent... Nothing happened..and the oil affected alot of places and this chiefs bagged their children future in their pocket. Every year they keep shouting ogoni clean up |

NaijirianKing: I like your analysis, but I have to correct something.
Bayelsa was created by Igbos, mainly spearheaded by Ekwueme, at the time many Ijaw didn't want a stste that didn't include PH. If you think back to when "Old Rivers State" contained almost an equal amount of both Igbo and Ijaw you know that the Ijaw dominated the political space of the state. The political elites of the Ijaw had a scheme which they would run, they would inflate the number of votes they got from the part of the state which is now Bayelsa and they would win many elections because the inflated number of votes garnered from present day Bayelsa, the number of votes from that area were and are greater than the actual population even today.
Some of the Easterner Igbos knew of this game and decided to throw the Ikwerre a political life line of sorts by giving the Ijaw a State of "their own" and giving the Rivers Igbos political breathing room as the game played by the political elites of Bayelsa could no longer be sustained if the mainly Ijaw portion was turned into its very own state. With no additional local governments to inflate voting power, the Ijaw elites lost political power in the current Rivers State, but retain a great deal of sway even till today. The end result we see now are Rivers Igbos running the state since. Remember that after the war Ijaw were put at the epicenter of Rivers politics by the Center, giving them their "own" state was a way to re-balance things.
"Landmass" has always been a political issue and weaponized by some ethnics groups in Nigeria. Any time you see those words, just know they are code words used to scheme those without landmass, but with higher population figures.
Knowing is half the battle. u see the problem but this hateful beings don't see anything good from an igbo man... This thing should be stopped. We should not lend them a helping hand again. |

oilPUSSY: This is sad. I still have a lot to read. So unfortunate that history was removed from our curriculum. Killing someone for not supporting evil ? Gosh!! the painful part it was done by abacha. His best friend after the Civil War. He usually host abacha at his home in ph. He personally was given ojukwu property in ph... Those military officers that killed him were from difficulties part of Nigeria xcept an igbo man. It was an igbo man who was then part of ecowas that staged a protest against hanging him and because of that ecowas warned Nigeria not to but they insisted and hanged Ken and even poured acid on him so that he won't be given a befitting burial... Ojukwu told Ken. Good morning when he started rallying for support from Ndiigbo... They thought they will be loved. They wanted to be come the ultimate puppet for the fulanis but they where rejected. They thought helping them sabotage the igbo will make them to be loved. Even when obi Wali urged ikwerres to join their kin. Elechi and co ganged up and obi Wali was killed. This people don't even know history and they don't wanna learn |

oilPUSSY: Dalu. Just asking to know more about them because there is one man I know that's a victim of abandoned property. The man built a house in Ahoda 1965/66 before the war. Then after the war, his house was called "Abandoned " making the man to move to back to Onitsha with his young family of three then and he started from the scratch again. Being an industrious igbo man he is, he was able to build not one house, but close to ten houses in Onitsha which his children and grandchildren are currently enjoying the proceeds.
Fastfoward to 2011, the son of the man was able to locate that house again. How he was able to locate the house is through one popular school that was built adjacent to the house according to what his father told him. You know people always use schools, churches and hospitals to locate a place easily . Again, the father as a young married man then took a picture in front of his house when he finished building it as young business man that has made it life. When the son visited the place in 2011, although that was not his purpose of going to Ahoda, he went there for something else but he's an inquisitive person who likes making inquiries about the past. That house is still the way the father left it in 1967, no renovation, no painting nothing. They haven't changed the zink, you can imagine how a house that was built in 60's will look like without renovation . According to the man, he saw domestic animals entering and coming out from a room like normal humanbeings . Everywhere was so dirty. He greeted people inside that compound and pretended as if he missed his way...
Stealing someone's properties is one thing, but maintaining those properties is another thing. Igbos have moved on and acquired more even more they acquired before the war. Those than stole their properties cannot maintain it maybe either or they are timid or they lack the capacity.
The reason why I asked about Ahoda is because I thought it's occupied by ijaws because we know that ijaws are the people that championed the issue of "Abandoned properties" ekpaofia is there name.. They are igbos denier . Ijaw people was the people that orchestrated the act.. Ken sarongs did it. He collaboratorated with all this igbo deniers to change their name and twist in so many way but still the truth is clear.. Ken was responsible for the killing of five ogoni chiefs simply because they didn't support the movement |

It's a distinct ethnic group but more related in language to Ogoni. go and sit down. U speak 90 percent ogoni language and answers the same name but still they are distinct?.. If some ikwerre.
