nnamdijonathan: let's take it this way. Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria with a landmass of slightly over 3,500 sqkm of which water covers about 30% of the landmass thereby further reducing the landmass of the state to about 3,000 sqkm. Lagos is the most populated state in Africa, has the highest number of companies, headquarters, factories, financial institutions and residential houses in West Africa when compared to other states, houses Africa's largest refinery and tomato processing plant, working on the lekki free trade zone, building 2 new seaports in Lekki and Badagry to add to the existing Apapa port, has the busiest airport in Nigeria, receives the most foreign visitors in Nigeria, investing in agriculture etc. All these things are in Lagos with its small landmass and yet, the state has not run out of landmass in many areas of the state like Epe, Badagry, Agege, Ikorodu, Ajah, Mile 2, Ikotun, Lekki etc. The south-east has a landmass of over 29,500 sqkm with an estimated population of over 20 million people. Now, compare the SE to Lagos and tell me if the SE is not big enough for 4 times the total population of the Igbo race? wow tanx for dat.... I really appreciate it |

Bede2u: there is nothing really we can do.
I know igbo population is maybe 25 million highest. Forget naija inflated census.
SE is maybe 10 times larger than istanbul...and istanbul has about 15 million people.
Plus SE is inside the larger Nigerian land mass. We have enough land.
So we are good. wow tanx for enlightening me on that aspect. Ikwu amaghi.. Ibe ezi ya |

Please can we discuss about this. How to conserve the land mass of the igbo nation since our population is big.. What measures do you think we should take |

Please i want to ask this question. Base on the population of Ndiigbo xcluding the wana be. The current land mass of the igbos is it enough for the population of igbos ... Am talking about the places who acknowledge their igboness. Is it enough and what can we do and how can we manage the land mass so that it will be enough |

Handsomegod: For once I have to agree with you. I visited Oguta in 2003 and I was blown away with sheer beauty, wealth, culture and sophistication in one town. It is not only the best planned community in Igboland,it also has some of the most enlightened fellows of Igbo origin who for some reasons remain anonymous. It is only second to Abriba in having hilltop residences and breathtaking structures.I lodged at Obana Motel, which happen to be on same street with Dr Alban's residence. Oguta is so dope that indigens who live in PH,Owerri and Onitsha troop home every weekend to spend it in their palatial mansions. Xmas holiday in Oguta is a carnival all day. The town also has one of the highest per capita of "diasporans" by a long mile. Almost every Uguta family I know has at least two of their wards based abroad. Oguta is more beautiful than many state capitals I know in South West and North west. This is no joke, friends. oguta is cool. Very proud igbo people. Not all this wanna be. |

JOETITUS: Immigration taught me a good lesson. After spending time to apply na 500K dem com demand. I ask myself if I had had such, why I come apply for de job? when I saw de FRSC advert, my analysis is when senator, house of Representatives members, Ogas, Governors, Ministers take their slots, what is left for the man without connection? this people are evil. When I saw what happened with the scholarship China gave Nigerians to learn rail way engineering and how Amaechi and co took everything and proudly telling Nigerians what they did. Am sick and tired |

Personally, I don't see how the Ijaw, Ibibio, Ogoja, Efik and others can ever come together to agitate for a separate country. It has never happend and cannot happen because they don't even relate with each other on that level.
It would be good if these people could come together to agitate together but I cannot see this happening, the only people who have ever tried are Ijaws lol the ijaw did it once but now they are filled with hate and don't have an agenda or goal. The small money they collect all in the name of amnesty they love it.... They only bcome aggressive when they hear the word igbo but when the northerners starts claiming their oil people like Edwin Clark and co keeps mute... We are waiting to strike at the right time.lol that's wat they always say... I pity them |
