Jobs/VacanciesHow Can One Get A Letter From A Senator/hor/governor/general? by MightyMuna(op): 4:05pm On Aug 31, 2014
Good day everyone,

I'm 28 years old, studied in UK, have both a BSc and MSc degree, got Second Class Upper 2:1 in both degrees. Completed my NYSC in February 2014.

I've been in pursuit of a job ever since my arrival in Nigeria. I've learnt first hand that qualifications seem somewhat irrelevant in getting a job, while connections a.k.a nepotism, croynism, favouritism is paramount in achieving one.

Each manager, HR staff etc I've met, all advised me to get a letter from either a Senator, Governor, House of Rep, Director General, etc recommending me.

I don't even know how or the necessary steps to take to obtain this inestimable piece of paper. So I was wondering if anyone can help or has any advice for me whatsoever. I'll greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.
Nairaland GeneralRe: If World Ends Today, Who Do You Wish To Meet In After-life? by MightyMuna(m): 10:16am On Dec 21, 2012
This world will never end. This world was here before us and will still be after us. There is no such thing as heaven, hell fire, and other mythical bullshit. All these so called prophecies were actualized when men were undeveloped, thinking the earth was flat and there was only one planet, etc People need to stop the application of ancient wisdom in modern times, it is incongruity. The sooner you realize that you are in charge of your life and how you treat others around, the better. There is no Jesus, Satan, Sango, Amadioha, etc.
Christianity EtcRe: God Does Exists! by MightyMuna(m): 6:46pm On Jan 01, 2012
for the sake of argument, even if God exists, it is not the God that these religions are talking about.

God made Man, Man made Religion.
Christianity EtcRe: Have You Praised Him Yet, Today? by MightyMuna(m): 6:42pm On Jan 01, 2012
still cant believe in this modern times, people still believe in Religious teachings. With all the resources and tools available for you people to do your research and see that Christianity and Islam is bullshit.

I concur. Most NL men just want to get laid cool
just take a look at the guys that post on sexuality section undecided
I disagree. no matter where you go, there will be good and bad people. There are some people on NL that want a meaningful relationship. e.g. Me. wink

Seriously, I've not been able to find a decent Nigerian girl in London, maybe I'm not in the 'right' place or not looking hard enough, whatever it is, I've not met one.
RomanceRe: Why Did You End Your Last Relationship? by MightyMuna(m): 1:27pm On Dec 05, 2009
long distance relationship. communication difficulties. she started seeing someone else and making up excuses for me to break up with her, e.g. "you are too good for me, I do not deserve you".

funny thing is, I was the one that broke up the relationship, but later came back trying to make the relationship work, by that time, she had completely moved on. then 2 yrs later, she came back begging for forgiveness and begging me to take her back, obviously, I did not.

Though, she and I tried to be good friends, but when I think of what she did, I just can't have anything to do with her, she is a devil. though, I think of her her from time to time, albeit good and bad thoughts.

RomanceRe: Does The Ring On A Married Woman's Finger Really Scare Men Off? by MightyMuna(m): 11:41am On Dec 04, 2009
women with a married ring scare men away, while men with a married ring attract women, why?

because once a woman knows a man is married, it means

1. he is responsible

2. he is tolerable

3. he has a job and some cash (at best, maintain and support a family)

4. he can 4ck

5. he is not gay

RomanceRe: Is She Under A Spell Or Making The Right Descision? by MightyMuna(m): 11:18am On Dec 04, 2009
sometimes, I actually believe the saying that "women like it when you treat them bad".

they say they want a gentleman, but when the gentleman comes, they say he is too soft, he is obsessed with me, he is a pushover, he is a mugu and they abuse his kind hearted nature.

what they really want is a man who will break their head.

all my uncles from my mother side, all four of them beat their wives and the women are still with them, while my both of my father's brothers are separated because they are 'soft'.
RomanceRe: Is She Under A Spell Or Making The Right Descision? by MightyMuna(m): 11:12am On Dec 04, 2009

RomanceRe: Do Nigerian Ladies Date White English Men? by MightyMuna(m): 7:28am On Dec 04, 2009
I'm not a fan of inter relationships. I don't condemn people who are into it, hell, my brother is dating a Spanish broad, but I myself will never have a relationship with a non-black woman. Yes, I admit, I've 'been' with lots of non-blacks but I've never had anything meaningful with them, just do my thing and leave.
RomanceRe: Most Naija Ladies End Up In The Church In Search For A Life Partner Atter 30. by MightyMuna(m): 10:06pm On Dec 03, 2009
it is not just Naija females but females worldwide, they mess around in their late teens to mid twenties, till mid-life crisis hits them. its just that we Nigerians believe Church is the answer for everything.

funny thing is, when they reach that certain stage in life, they become very vulnerable and desperate, they end up wrecking their life even further by accepting any man, they don't know that the men know this and the men just use them, have their fun and dump them and their back to square one again.

Ladies, marry early, keep your dignity, resist temptation, in future, you will reap the benefits. good men will chase you, because they know what you are working with.

RomanceRe: When Your Guy Says Your Call Is A Disturbance by MightyMuna(m): 9:41pm On Dec 03, 2009
for him to say that, it means he does not like and respect you.

Just don't contact him anymore, no matter how tempted you are, he'll probably be the one doing the disturbance.
RomanceRe: Is It Possible To Still Be In Love With An Ex For 5 Years by MightyMuna(m): 9:31pm On Dec 03, 2009
Definitely. I broke up with my ex 2 years ago, and I still think of her from time to time. She gave me the happiest moments in my life and also the saddest moments. I can never forgive her, but I will never forget her (no matter how hard I try).

Hopefully, my wife will make me forget her.

RomanceRe: Will U? by MightyMuna(m): 8:57pm On Dec 03, 2009
one can try but the marriage is destined for failure.

a potent poor man can get married and the marriage will work out, but an impotent rich man's marriage won't work out.
RomanceRe: How Will You Feel If Someone Slap Ur Partner by MightyMuna(m): 8:26pm On Dec 03, 2009
depends on the type of partner.

my 4ck buddy - I could care less if they break her head.

my girlfriend - I would definitely take actions.

my wife - Either that person kills me or I kill the person, either way, one of us must die.
RomanceRe: It's A Mistake To Fall In Love When You Are Not Yet Exposed by MightyMuna(m): 8:16pm On Dec 03, 2009
I don't get it. correct me if I'm wrong, so what you are saying is that, one should first go gallivanting before they'll be sure if they are making the right decision? if so, I totally disagree.
