Tinubu is still better. Jonathan, I would say, took over from a southerner. His principal served his ailments more than Nigeria. So, the progress made by Obasanjo was barely sustained not advanced phenomenally. Buhari came in with Fulani agenda, put Nigeria into reverse gear at the maximum speed, following his northern military ruiners but his own brand of disaster is weird.

To put Nigeria back on track, we need Tinubu who understands economy, politics, and proficiency in street life gimmicks. He can be focused and does what he wants without fear of military, northern political shylocks or tribal agitations. If he makes mistakes, the mistake would be a sincere one rather than being pressurized.

I don't doubt obi's economic know-how but the problem of Nigeria is not economy but is not making the economy to work and this is northern political class. They improverish their own region and raise urchins for military and elections, building mosques and breeding gullible illiterates and control them with poverty. The same template was used by Buhari. I doubt if Obi can be as bold as Tinubu in making serious reforms that will task every region. We still need political reforms like true federalism that was originally an ideology touted by Tinubu those days.

If Nigeria has any future, true federalism is it. We need a daring president to do it. Jonathan tried with his constitutional conference but lacked the goodwill to carry out the goodluck given to him. Obi would just be obedient to the northern elites as he does not control the National Assembly.
Tinubu is that man for now.
