The Senator is alleged to have married and divorced a few women in the last few years but has never changed his first three wives, only the fourth ones.
Odd that only the fourth ones gets the boot, parents still let their daughters marry this guy? This guy has this planned!!!!!
Now that the poor girl is divorced and has a kid already and she is not even 20 yet, what does he want her to do for goodness sake??

This is simply terrible, i just do not have the words to express my disgust.

Getting married to a minor was bad enough but divorcing her after she don drop engine at that age haba, oga that is big NO NO.

No thing new there.

Even top corporate bosses do more than that, i can recall a situation when i use to work in Shell Residential Area (R.A) we use to supervise contractors renovating the houses of their MD's, Directors and staffs. One one occasion while dismantling the master bedroom of sacked director we came across a smaller inner chamber with a sort of relic there. We had to stop and call the attention of the asset holder to the finding. The corporate word is full of such all in the bid to remain in office.

So the man should not be publicly disgraced cos top leader do far worse.

Those calling for the break-up you will just end up being enslaved by your fellow tribes men. The low and middle class that go where their source of income comes from, only the over corrupt, self enriching "tribal leader" are calling for this for them to become the big fishes in their regional pond.

They are scared of facing the same fate as the former PHCN workers.

They should take a cue from the then proposed sale of Petrochemical, after all the protest the sale still when through. My advise to them is while protesting they should prepare for the eventual sale and keep something for the rainy day cos it gonna pour heavily.

PoliticsElectricity: New Owners Demand Increase In Tariff by MightyThor(op): 8:18am On Dec 02, 2013
BY VICTOR AHIUMA-YOUNG
NEW operators in the nation’s power sector have asked for increase in electricity tariff in the midst of worsening power situation in the country.
The operators have already jerked up service charge from N750 to N1,500 monthly.
This came as the Federal Government and organised labour are meeting today to review labour issues in the sector especially non-payment of terminal benefits for thousands of sacked workers, alleged victimisation of labour leaders in the massive sack of workers immediately after the take-over of the assets of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, among others.
Vanguard gathered that the operators met with the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, last week to demand for increase in tariff.
meter
It was gathered that the Director-General of the Commission, Mr. Sam Amadi, told the operators that they had no basis to ask for increase when Nigerians were still lamenting the negative effect of last increase and the worsening power station in the country.
He was said to have also blamed the new operators for the massive sack of workers of the defunct PHCN, which had created shortage of manpower and compounded the power situation.
According to Vanguard sources, the new operators were said to have dissociated themselves from the sack, blaming the Bureau for Public Enterprises, BPE, for same.
However, it was not confirmed if NERC approved the increase in service charge from N750 to N1,500 monthly less than one month after take-over of assets.

PoliticsRe: Amaechi sacks Obio-Akpor councillors, chairman by MightyThor(m): 8:54am On Nov 29, 2013
Also, the member of the state House of Assembly representing Ogu/Bolo constituency, Mr. Evans Bipi, has said Amaechi would be made to account for all that the state received from statutory allocations for the past six years.

Bipi, who was ‘elected’ speaker during the fracas that led to the takeover of the state assembly by the House of Representatives, also warned that any member of the assembly that defects to another party would lose his seat.

In a statement he issued yesterday, Bipi alleged that Amaechi awarded contracts to his political cronies in the APC as a way of funding the party to the overall detriment of the Rivers people.

“I want to assure all of us in the state that by the time we resume seating in the House, governor Amaechi will be summoned to give account of every kobo accruable to the state.

“Let me also say here that any lawmaker who chooses to defect to the APC will have his seat declared vacant and bye-elections would be conducted to fill them up,” he said.
Bipi, former aide to the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, also warned the governor to desist from what he described as the governor’s knack for insulting and casting aspersions on the person of Jonathan and his wife.

Politics2015: Minister Fingered In Plot To Blackmail Buhari, Amaechi - See More At: Http by MightyThor(op): 8:19am On Nov 26, 2013
A plot by top government agents to portray Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as working with the North to stall the re-election of President Good-luck Jonathan was uncovered in Kaduna yesterday.
Under the scheme, which is being financed by a serving minister in the present administration, N11 million has reportedly been paid to two Kaduna-based printers to produce different sizes of posters bearing the images of former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), and that of Amaechi as presidential candidate and running mate in the 2015 poll, respectively.
The contract, allegedly awarded to two printing firms (names withheld) is for the production of no fewer than 10,000 copies of the posters with the logo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and display them at strategic points in the northern part of the country.
*Governor, Rotimi Amaechi
*Governor, Rotimi Amaechi
The copies, according to sources close to the printing companies, are to be delivered and displayed in selected Northern states before the end of the week.
“The posters will hit the streets of some states in the North at the weekend,” a source close to the printing firms confirmed yesterday.
The plot, however, hit the rocks when one of the staff of the printing company called the governor and asked if he was the one that authorised the printing job.
Amaechi, according to a source, reported the plot to the security agencies and gave the names of the printers to them for verification.
However, Amaechi also raised the alarm that he was being set up for blackmail by a minister from the South-South and appealed to Nigerians to be wary of the antics of the said man, who claims to be working for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Amaechi’s reaction
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Tony Okorocha, Amaechi described the antics of the minister and his cohorts as criminal and an attempt by him to gain undeserved attention from the Presidency and the people of Nigeria.
Okorocha said that Amaechi had not made public his next political ambition and warned those plotting to drag his name in the mud to desist from such devilish act or face the wrath of Rivers people, whose mandate he is holding in trust till 2015.
He said: “We want to call on Nigerians to plead with the minister to leave Amaechi alone and face the arduous task of his ministry.
“What the minister is trying to do is to deceive the undiscerning minds in Rivers State and Nigeria so as to gain undue attention and continue to stay on in his post when he is nothing more than a mischief-maker and an expert in frivolity.”

PoliticsRe: Our Pay Justified, Says Tambuwal by MightyThor(op): 5:33am On Nov 22, 2013
He disclosed that his job requires that he visits his constituency weekly, which puts his airfare allowance alone at N500, 000 monthly.
How many of them do actually visit their constituency and parley with them? the only time people know that they are around is when their convoy harass you on the way. They have converted that to trips to visit friends rather that knowing the problems of those that they are supposed to represent.

Tambuwal observed that the Nigeria dream is “life more abundantly” and it could only come to fusion through a responsible followership.
He added that Nigeria’s dream has not been achieved because the masses have failed to hold government accountable. He attributed the historical woes and official corruption to the inability of the followers to hold on to their stance against all odds.
Hahahahaaa...... my friend you just hung yourself with this your silly statement. If i may ask you are speaker for the house of rep, who do you rep if not the people
PoliticsOur Pay Justified, Says Tambuwal by MightyThor(op): 5:23am On Nov 22, 2013
• Speaker, Fashola, others chart path to nation’s growth
SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal yesterday in Lagos took a swipe at those accusing the nation’s lawmakers of earning outrageous salaries, saying their pay was reasonable given the peculiarities of their job.
Also, the speaker and Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, yesterday took turns to blame the country’s failed political leadership on irresponsive and inactive fellowship.
While Tambuwal said the “problem rests squarely on fellowship”, Fashola observed that the country could do better if leaders discharge their constitutional responsibilities, including fulfilling tax obligations.
Both leaders spoke at the Fifth Christopher Kolade Symposium series organised by the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI).
The speaker, who was represented by the Minority Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, said what many people have classified as lawmakers’ salaries were allowances they collect to discharge their duties effectively.
He disclosed that his job requires that he visits his constituency weekly, which puts his airfare allowance alone at N500, 000 monthly.
He said he has challenged his colleagues to make their salaries and allowances public so that Nigerians would know the exact legislative packages that have caused ripples in recent years.
Justifying legislators’ pay, the speaker said Nigerians have grown to rely heavily on the lawmakers for their personal needs unknown to them that their constitutional responsibilities are not related to such assistances.
Observing that a society gets the leadership it deserves, he noted that when people hold government accountable, they will be able to directly dictate what “the government gives them.”
Noting that though the ultimate leader is a servant of the people, Fashola stated that the relationship between the leader and the followers demands that both play their role in line with the Constitution. The governor said a true leader must live in fear but must not allow the fear to overwhelm him because he must have the dignity to continue despite the fear as it helps to keep him focused in his task.
He also believes that having a Nigeria dream will help shape and set standards that would guide the leaders and the followers to know their rights and responsibilities.
In his contribution, Atedo Peterside, represented by the CEO of Stanbic IBTC Pensions, Mr. Demola Sogunle, said leadership was not about title or position but positively affecting and influencing lives. He said that leadership in the corporate world is about balancing short-term goals with long-term vision of the organisation.
For the Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Leadership Initiative, Mr. Yinka Oyinlola, the need for accountability and being responsible should not be limited to the leaders, as the followers must also be accountable and responsible.
He, however, alluded to how bad system changes a good leader and how for example, a good leader changed the fate of Rwanda.

PoliticsProgressive Govs Forum Statement On Police Invasion Of G7 Meeting by MightyThor(op): 8:51am On Nov 05, 2013
Yesterday, the DPO of Asokoro police division, CSP Nnanna Ama, invaded the meeting of the G7 governors at the Kano government lodge in Asokoro, Abuja. The Progressive Governors Forum have released a statement condemning the incident. Their statement below...
Nigerian Police: Now Armed Wing of PDP
The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) hereby registers its dismay that for the second weekend in a row, officers of the Nigeria Police illegally stormed and disrupted a meeting by seven governors and other Nigerians going about their constitutionally guaranteed rights of association.

The police action is not only alarming but also demonstrates clearly that the force, instead of carrying out its constitutional responsibilities of maintaining peace and order in the society has become no more than the armed wing of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Coming barely a week after storming the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja to disrupt a lawful meeting of like-minded individuals, and despite public outcry at the tactics of the police, the Force, in clear violation of all rules of civility still went ahead to disrupt a G7 caucus meeting at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge on the 3rd November, 2013, in Asokoro, Abuja.

If the Nigeria Police has not become the armed wing of the PDP, why should the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Asokoro Police Unit, CSP NnannaAma, burst into the venue and order the meeting stopped, threatening to mobilize troops to abort it if his order was not obeyed?

For a DPO to have the impudence to force his way into the meeting of perceived opponents of President Goodluck Jonathan to disrupt meeting of governors and members of the Senate and the House of Representatives that were duly elected by Nigerians, and also threaten them with arrest can only indicate that the orders must have come from the Presidency. But for the police to carry out what is evidently an illegal order reflects a new low in the history of the Nigerian police.

The PGF hereby condemns in totality the antics of the Nigeria police in breaking up peaceful meetings and harassing Nigerians, while also calling for a probe into the PDP – Nigeria Police relations. Is the police established and paid to serve all Nigerians or merely to serve the interests of the PDP? If the police have become the armed wing of the PDP, then what differentiates it from the terror tactics of those who seek to violently impose their political beliefs on others?
