Is it advisable to get the phone?

Yes I did.

even tried the fast boot power up. (Vol down and power button together) nothing still happens.

Was contemplating if flashing it would help.
Decided to take it to a phone repairer for his opinion. he says it is a power problem not a software issue that flashing would solve. and was charging 6k to fix it.

Wanted to seek the view of the experts here before I decide if I will hand the phone to the repairer or not.

I have no idea what the bootloader is.

All I can say is that the phone does not power on. not even a twitch or a blink. nadah. nothing. zero.

The only response I can get is when I plug the charger and the red light flashes though after a while it stops flashing. but on plugging the charger again it starts flashing again.

even tried the volume up and power button for the emergency boot or something, nothing.

hi all,
my redmi note 4x just suddenly went blank this morning, it did not fall and no recent apps was installed. i last used it to play some songs on my way to work.

it went blank in my pocket, it does not power on at all (not even to the mi logo ) just blank. my battery was around 40%.

I tried charging it but the led indicator is flashing red (normally it shows green while on charge), but it still has not powered up even while on charge.

currently still charging it and the led is still flashing.

Any suggestions?

which video apps can you guys recommend that plays mp4 and wmv files?
my note 4x plays all except these file extension. Note these same file play in my Samsung s4.

I have downloaded four different video apps claiming to play mp4 videos, but they done work.

Does the dual climate control still works?
try switching to warmer air on both sides if this works switch back to cooler air. If the drivers side still blows warm air, then it probably is the actuator that operates the vane (btw cool and warm air) is stuck on the warm air on the drivers side.

There maybe other causes but I had a similar experience and that was the culprit, the technician serviced the plastic gear system and greased it before it worked.

Well for me i've always used toyota 5w30 ever since i purchased my cars and i can confidently say the oil has been performing very well.
i once ran the car for a year without oil change and the physical feel of the oil was almost still new.
what really sold me on the oil was when i changed my top gasket seal. Men the inside of the top cylinder was spectacular and very neat.

Though i dont think the oil is synthetic but that does not matter. There were good mineral oils before the advent of synthetic oil that does not mean that all synthetic oils are automatically superior to all other oil blends and are the best around.

For instance before dangote came with 42.5 grade cement, people have been building great structures with the old grade cement that are still standing today. So only narrow minded people will say that only dangote 42.5 grade cement is the best for building.

Summary. Dont be too quick to castigate or down grade the old for something new and flashy.
Remember the old has stood the test of time, while the new is in its youthfull stage and yet to be time tested.

The normal reading as someone said earlier is 17 city driving and 21 highway. (or something similar, and with your check engine light off)

By "manual" I assume you mean you by-passed the thermostat and connected the fan directly. Therefore your fan is always on.

Well you must have your reasons sha for doing that, but it does not make it right. if your car is overheating or your A/C is not cool enough you could have searched for the source of the problem and solved it rather than this direct connection thing.

The direct connection put extra strain on the battery and since your battery is "follow come" (Wet Cell type) and it has endured for two years, I think you may need to buy a new battery. (Our normal sealed type)

Still have an experienced electrician check to ensure your relays or a bridged wiring is not draining the battery.

The CD wont have African maps loaded. Only North America map are currently available.

If you really need navigation in your car, consider installing after market navigation.

Hope you wont mind having two screens in your car. (Am assuming your car has factory navigation)

NOTE. If your car is the premium edition then I'll advise you to forget about in-dash navigation (your AC wont work with it except you buy special adapters) and go for the type you can mount on your windshield. i.e. Garmin or something similar.
