Important info to you guys using online plagiarism checkers.
.
Some of these online checkers save a copy of your document after the scans. This remains in a public database which EA do have access to. It means that it is possible that EA will run a scan on your work, and find high similarity, just because a plagiarism software has saved your work online. I advise you avoid it completely. Since you ve written the CDR in your own words, be confident that there is no issue of plagiarism. Using online checkers can cause more unnecessary issues.

Thanks alot. Guys, we better avoid it.

I uploaded the cover letter along with the transcript to EA. The address was also included. it didn't affect my assessment. For the visa application, I ve edited out the cover letter as I dont think it's necessary. I really dont see any reason why the cover letter should be an issue

Thanks.

My transcript was addressed to a Nigerian address. PFL in particular. i dont think they reject transcripts based on that

Do they need address to show? I was thinking it's d main transcript record EA needs and not d cover letter. I hv asked my sch to send my transcript to my office .That way, I can scan the transcript ONLY without cover letter. Kindly advise.

60 points is good for the Occupation but having above 60 increases your chance in the pool.

Thanks for your reply.
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Mijac: 1:24am On Apr 21, 2017
@ Bellong /E-family

From the new changes, having an occupation in the medium to long term lists qualifies one to apply for subclass 189 which requires no state nomination.

Will a 60point be good enough ? I am looking at telecoms network engr which is in the current medium to long term lists.

Also,I am thinking even with 65pts and applying for NSW may not be ok.

I am preparing for IELTS. Kindly advice.

You are fine to nominate any Engineering Occupation as an Engineering Technologist or Professional........in my own case, I was assessed as a professional Engr and I nominated Telecoms Network Engr.

Thanks. Guess am still good to go.
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Mijac: 9:02am On Apr 19, 2017
Rett0:

If you nominate Telecom Net. Engr and get an Engineering Technologist outcome, It means your occupation on your EOI can only be Engineering Technologist and NOT Telecom Net. Engr or any other occupation.
In summary, you only qualify to proceed as ET.

Thanks. Guess am still good to go.

Pls kindly help to clarify. When u nominate an occupation say Telecoms Network Engr and get an assessment as positive Engineer Tech. Is there any difference between that and nominating the occupation Engineering Technologist itself? A bit confusing since both are assessed by the same EA.

Ok. That's really great. Pls also note that am not claiming points for work experience. So just following MSA guidelines without work experience can giv a positive assessment as professional engineer?
