SportsDo You Think Enyimba Will Take The Lead? by Mike4S(op): 6:35pm On Mar 21, 2018
This is the current standing. In NPFL, no one can predict the winner until when the game reaches match day 30 and above. Do you think that Enyimba can take the top spot?

But the superficial reasonableness of a claim isn't enough to be confident that it is true. This is a public sentiment and has not actually reflected as pereceived. Job offers remain contingent upon the applicant performance and not grade.
TV/MoviesWho Will Ban Bbnaija For Us? by Mike4S(op):
Even though I don't watch the popular BBNaija show, the the headline I see everyday when checking news is enough to ban it. As I read headlines everyday, I could tell that the show is nothing but what triggers prurient curiousity. Based on the preponderance of the evidence, I'm using this medium to convey my displeasure of the show.
I don't know when we get to this worshiping and praising of shows with sexual themes which has debauched our society. Bad enough that the feckless guardian of our TV shows allowed such programme to be aired.
Please fellow conservative Nigerians, join me. Let our voices rise in crescendo, chanting for this sexual show to be banned. Let the show earn tepid response from us so it will discourage the sponsors from further sponsorship.
The participants have shown the world that they are not ready to hallow their marriage as a sacred commitment. This is as evidenced by their engagement in caprice of lust. "The world will not be destroyed by the evil ones but by those who will see evil and refuse to say anything about it." Albert Einstein words.

IGCSE certificate is gotten after training which can either be face_ to _ face or Online. And the amount for the training is 150 pounds which is 75,000naira. The face_ to_ face training takes 2 days while the online training is 5 weeks for O'Level. The online training is on_ going now and it ends 23 March. Please make informed decision from my write up above. However, my personal opinion is that he is a thief. If you want more information about IGCSE go to CIE website.
A school in Lekki once invited me for IGCSE training and it was no where near N75,000

hmmm,na wa o,nothing we no go hear for dis Nigeria. have never heard that before,be it 20 or 30 years old,who go get complication go get am,though when a woman is close to 40 and is still a primigravidae( that is her first pregnancy),we tread with caution because of her age.for most ladies at 30 they are at their peak and some starts their family then due to a number of reasons.as for surgical procedure, anybody can go thru it even those who are young and have had normal delivery can later have caesarian section on their 3rd child.but its better to start early sha.
For those that know Mile 12 area of Lagos, the veracity of this post can be verified. The clinic is in between Obanta and Maidan Primary School.
This is for the avoidance of doubt.

I was not also happy to hear that a clinic is not allowing expectant mothers that are above thirty for a prenatal care. Living in a country where things are the way it is in Nigeria can cause a delay in marriage.

EducationRe: Injustice For Engineering Graduates, Corpers by Mike4S: 8:40am On Mar 08, 2018
After passing under the tutelage of teachers and somebody is coming to write this. Go to Germany and see that nobody deserves better pay tahn teachers. Nigeria is not an egalitarian country because often the people that deserve better treatment are treated otherwise. Be you engineer, be you doctor... you don't have a case to make here.
FamilyLadies Above Thirty Take Note by Mike4S(op):
A mother of two recently advised me on who and who not to marry. In the course of her advice, she said what surprised me. She said that I should insist on ladies that are not more than twenty five years of age. I asked her why and she told me that most clinics are not allowing expectant mothers above thirty for prenatal care again!
My curiousity was aroused when I heard this. I asked her why they said so. She told me that though they allow for pregnant woman above thirty only on the ground of having given birth before, anything short of that they would direct the expectant mother to another clinic. Reason being they don't want to encounter problem during child birth.
This is why I'm using this medium to to tell those ladies who are clamouring for "Mr. Right" to act now before it will be late. I was also told that one of the reasons is the surgical operation that may be involved.

One keep telling me that we must do the three i.e traditional, white , and court marriage. Let's see who will later surrender. Already many of them are weathered by age. The people who are collecting the most "killer" bride price are already having the most unmarried ripe ladies. Let angry's see who'll surrender. Time will tell.
EducationRe: Public And Private University Students Battle On Twitter For Supremacyy by Mike4S:
I can agree with those who schooled abroad but not those that schooled in Nigeria. Forget about strikes and other hindrances in public universities, they still have something to offer. Studies show intelligence is unique to each person and does not correlate to a specific race or gender. You don't put a job advert and limit it to a particular university.
Job is meant for a motley group of people in order for the best to be selected. This will cause harm to CU graduates in future because it is a flood gate that has been opened. Don't be surprised to hear that another employer of labour restricted his own to public university graduates.
I will continue to be a vehement opponent of such advertisement until the right thing is done. We are all in one Nigeria where it was reported that our education has expired. CU was not excluded from that report, so how can a firm wake up and demanded to recruit only CU graduates. Did others receive what is ersatz to theirs? So many questions begging for explanation.
Now that CU graduates have been made supercilious that others will queue behind them, let's see the outcome.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Strictly For Those Interested In Teaching Jobs by Mike4S:
WHY YOU DID NOT GET THAT JOB DESPITE PUTTING THE BEST EFFORT.

You should know that most private schools are not after who knows it most. So don't worry yourself for not being considered in that interview. Most proprietors need those who can meet their demands, so they always surround themselves with people that will stroke up their ego as they need occasional blandishment.
Below are some reasons why you did not get that teaching job even after putting up an excellent performance:

1. Most external exam officers are not immune from bribery: What a travesty of education! This particular trend has contributed to the negligence of those teachers that are experienced enough. This is because criminal-minded exam officers collect bribe from schools and open way for exam malpractice. The proprietors who rely on such exam officers don't care if you finished first class. To them anybody can do it provided the right answer is supplied to the students during exams.

2. Fear of your threatening profile: Opportunities are always open for experienced and brilliant teachers. This has made proprietors to doubt the durability of such teachers. Fear of short stay which parents always complain about may cause the rejection of the best performers in an interview.

3. Laissez faire attitude of TRCN: Despite the public's cries for TRCN investigation into the trends in Nigerian education, the body's response has been slow and piecemeal at best. Suffice it to say that correcting the 'all comers affair' syndrome that most proprietors have branded teaching is not the major thrust of the Teachers' Ruling Council of Nigeria (TRCN). This body has not been doing its primary duties which is separating 'made' teachers from 'born' teachers. This negligence has empowered many proprietors to throw open teaching to every Dick, Tom and Harry. You know what that mean. Those who the owner choose are the one they employ irrespective of their execrable performance.

4. Your rectitude of moral: If you quibble on moral ground during your interview, some proprietors may be worried on how you can cooperate when it comes to number one above. Don't forget that teachers are allowed to conduct exams alongside WAEC/NECO exam officers. Those who are on duty with the exam officers are the ones to supply the 'expo' and you that is the subject master will be the one to prepare the 'expo.' They will ask you some tricky questions to test if you can partake in such shady deal. Such question cannot be direct but it is known with the popular bible verse that says "by their fruit we shall know them." You know you must exude confidence if you hope to succeed in an interview and you cannot do it without saying who you are. When you are faced with an ethical dilemma of either lying or saying the truth, if you are the upright type you will always go for the former. So your ingenuous habit of constantly telling the truth can deny you that job if the proprietor is the type that hates truth.
An example of such question is when you are constantly asked how many passed under your tutelage in the external exam they took.

This is not to say that it is obtainable in every private secondary school. It is based on my experience on the interviews I had honoured before.

EducationRe: Are Polytechnics On Par With Universities? by Mike4S: 4:10pm On Feb 20, 2018
The fact that Nigerians allow polytechnic graduates to enroll in a course that will qualify them as a degree holder is the reason why the two are not at par. Some days back, I was at a College of Education in Akoka, near UNILAG, where there was an advert for HND holders, who want to upgrade their qualification.
RomanceRe: My Ex Wants Me Back Because She Heard That I'm Now Employed by Mike4S: 3:48pm On Feb 20, 2018
COPIED
A young girl once vowed that she would never marry a poor man. Changing men to her was akin to throwing out old shoes and buying a new pair.
This continued until she got the right man. The flirtation later blossomed into a permanent relationship.
Luckily to her, the young man became more popular than before that people encouraged him to test his political prowess.
The clarion call was heeded to as the man tried it and won. The lady who inveigled the young man into marrying her was very happy to be called "first lady".
Soon the Governor made an oversea incursion; in order to bring his elder brother, who was involved in illegal migration, home.
Just when the Governor was about to come back, their plane "missed".
A de facto government that saw his ex officio replacement take over government emerged.
The wife was not happy as she was stripped off her position. She did not obey the law of financial dictum and soon she was at the precipice of bankruptcy.
Her lifestyle was such that she abhorred dressing like others. She was the originator of most dresses and never put on what has been hackneyed.
This, coupled with her wacky hairstyle and excessive makeover that had in many times earned her indecent proposal, were the remote cause of her downfall.
In a strange paradox, the beauty she engaged in made her look ugly before causing her to look beautiful.
This made her to spend the entirety of many days at home. When she later saw her aesthetic remark to be fair, she started venturing out like others.
Soon the beauty faded again and she returned to her ugly self. This, coupled with her inability to pay her bills, caused her to sell her husband's house; which was yet to be willed to her.
She was the talk of the day for that singular act. She was publicly vilified by fans and foes.
Just as she used to recoil from any man whose pocket got dried, she soon surprised the populace by sharing an invitation card...inviting guests to her wedding with a Korea-based man.
No sooner that she shared the card than the new lover arrived. She released a bombastic that startled everyone on hearing that her latest lover has arrived.
In order to solicit compliment from the man, she made up herself and headed to the airport.
The Korea-based man who had not seen her before did not hide his surprise on seeing a face that did not match his 'taste.'
The young woman seeing, the perplex in the new lover's face, tried to hypnotise him but to no avail.
The Korea-based man who was angry with her look accused her of faking her beauty. The woman's look was different from the one that moved the Korea-based man in one of the social media (twitter). The man staged a walkout and the young woman, who had used all her feminine wiles to win the man, was helpless. When it dawned on her that what then happened was the finality of her marriage, she released a paroxysm of grief that sounded like that of a wounded animal. This did not fall on a sympathetic ear as the 'run away' lover did not turn back.
The young woman agonised it throughout her life as there was no more marital prospect for her.
The missing husband later returned from Europe and did not marry the gold digger again.

Request, request everywhere! This thread is fastly going into oblivion. undecided

All of you guys requesting up and down should calm down o, it doesn't work that way. The conventional rule is that if anyone has a job opening, he/she will post it here. If my understanding serves me right, a thread like this should be for posting job and not littered with endless requests. Una no dey tire ni?

Gone are the days when we give interview tips, exchange ideas, career guidance and share experiences about the teaching profession. Nowadays, all I see on this thread is that 'I studied this & that, anybody with a job should contact me'. Make una let person hear word abeg. Hian?
Even worse is the infiltration of those with no teaching backgrounds. You studied Micro Biology, and you think that that makes you a Biology teacher. What about an Engineering graduate that now believes he's a qualified Physics, Maths, and Further Maths teacher... I wonder how lucrative teaching is now that those that once taunted educationists are now dabbling into the profession.

Computers've Got Solution For My White Screen Problem by Mike4S(op): 5:36pm On Jan 31, 2018
I once posted my laptop here to ask for an assistance. It has white screen fault. Guess what! I can now use it whilst having that fault.
I recently allowed it on while playing a music I saved on the system. It played to some an extent and the white screen disappeared! Seeing it, I released a bombastic that startled everybody in my compound.
It should be known that it was not yet uhuru, as I shut it down only to turn it on and the same white screen resurfaced. From my finding, I discovered that the battery must be fully charged to enable it to enable the white screen to be evanesce. I am now using it as a desktop as I don't allow the battery to drop.
