The ''ruling party/ govt'' is not the same as the ''country''.
Most of you make this mistake by equating the govt in power to the country (or State)
The country includes every citizen and institution; the govt is only a group of people ruling at a time headed by one person

Please learn to know and appreciate the difference.

While ti may seem sweet at the start, the country will race towards insolvency and ruin.

Be sincere, if Tinubu had continued the exact Buhari template of borrowing for subsidy and sustaining an artificial Niara/USD rate, and just printing currency, where would Nigeria be today?

Tinubu's govt has many faults, but I credit him for choosing the hard way out despite knowing it would reduce his popularity. I cant say the same for the opposition with their policy flip-flops. Today they want subsidy gone; tomorrow they are its strongest advocates. Today they are campaigning on selling the govt-owned refineries; tomorrow they are stressing why govt must retain ownership and make it work. Today they will increase power generation by 10kMW in 4 years; tomorrow they acknowledge it is not possible.

All what you typed are excuses and hypotheses of the ruling govt to justify their decisions.
The govt should just tell us how they have improved the welfare and security of the people. Simple.!

Don't use or adopt their hypotheses and excuses as if they are the ideal ones with no other alternatives.

They will end up polluting the water and soil in those places and when they are done, they will pick up their suitcases and leave. No, there is no reliable power. The power sector has been badly managed for decades. Hopefully, the legislation unbundling power generation and anticipated private-sector investments (Dangote, Davido's Dad, et al.) will push us toward 50k MW in the next decade and improve the power situation. But cost-reflective tariffs remain a knotty issue. Can the average Nigerian pay the true cost of electricity? Will the private sector be incentivized to continue investing with the subsidy and the FG owing them billions? Would it be fair to the average Nigerian to remove this subsidy too, given the poor purchasing power? These are the questions those seeking to replace Tinubu should be answering rather than screaming 'Tinubu must go'

You are very correct in virtually everything you typed; but I disagree with the last sentence.
The opposition parties would be useless to themselves if they don't ''scream'' what you typed.
That is how all previous opposition parties/leaders ''screamed'' before they could win election to implement all the nice things you talked about.

Not rigging per se.. Na money go do the job. Vote buying is not a new phenomenon.

Just be ready for everything; every scenario: rigging, vote buying, violence, thuggery, ballot stuffing, ballot snatching, use of security personnel to intimidate voters, INEC rigging etc.

That is why the opposition must be very prepared if they really want to ''win''. It will not be easy because every ruling govt wants to use ''every available means'' to retain power.
I just hope whoever wins would do so in a free, fair and credible election so we can have peace after the election

I watched the interview when the anchor mentioned the absence of the EIA Report and when the Minister responded that Arise TV has a copy of the report, the anchor couldn't controvert him. This shows that even the media is not diligent due to their partisanship.

The gazette is a publicly available document. The EIA report is publicly available. The coastal highway is not hidden. The media would rather feed into the mischievous narratives of the opposition rather than educating the public with the right information.

And I ask again, why is the scrutiny only about the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway, why not Lagos Sokoto highway 😑

The honourable thing to do is to accept that you misunderstood him. There are even road projects with different sections that are awarded to different contractors. Do you expect to have one single design and costings?

So you think different contractors can just go to the site to build whatever they like? There is an overall engineering design from the beginning so that the total costs, scope, etc is known before each contractor is asked to do their section(s).
The overall engineering design is the Master plan design that guides how the project should proceed. Not just anyhow
