They have acquired 80% shares of Warner Bros. The owners of CNN.

Plans are in place to acquire 70% shares of Canal+ , the new owner of DSTV.

As they say on this platform DYDD
Wow!
Is DAAR Communications that rich, to acquire 80% of Warner Bros, and also planning 70% of Cana+?
This is massive if true. Congrats and wishing them all the best.
I hope their DAAR Satellite TV (DAARSAT) is still active and going strong

Let me now explain how Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac lost his life during the operation to rescue the 44 abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State.

I first posted about his death which carried "June 6", but some people claimed it was false because the rescue operation was carried out on July 10. They insisted that no soldier died and that the entire story was scripted.

Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac was a 28-year-old Nigerian Army officer who tragically lost his life while leading the initial assault team during the rescue mission.

Under the leadership of Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife, a multi-agency security team launched an intelligence-led operation in the Old Oyo National Park.

Lt. Isaac was at the forefront of the assault, courageously leading the breach and firing the first shots at the kidnappers' hideout.

During the operation, his convoy ran into improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and landmines planted by the terrorists. He sustained fatal injuries during the early phase of the mission and later died from a gun shot.

Lt. Isaac was laid to rest with full military honours on July 10, 2026; the same day the 44 victims regained their freedom. He was buried at the 23rd Armoured Brigade Cemetery in Yola, Adamawa State.

After 56 days in captivity, all 44 pupils, students, and teachers were successfully rescued unharmed without the payment of any ransom.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State paid glowing tribute to Lt. Isaac's exceptional bravery, publicly acknowledging his ultimate sacrifice during an official briefing.

So please, don't say it was scripted. It was real. May we never fall victim to any unforeseen circumstances. Amen.

ATM ✍🏾

I will not include his picture on a motorcycle. It does not do justice to the sacrifice this gallant soldier paid for Nigeria.

© Omolara Wise
RIP to him.
May God continue to protect our gallant soldiers and help them defeat these criminals terrorizing our people all over the nation!

But how come he died on June 6 and the rescue operation was on July 10?
Was he the one that died in the rescue operation? Was the rescue operation done on June 6? If so, why the delay until July 10 before they announced the rescue? More than one month after?
Just questions bothering my mind.

FG Suspends Proposed WAEC, NECO Fee Hike After Public Backlash

https://www.nairaland.com/8708550/fg-suspends-proposed-waec-neco

Thank God. Hope they keep the old price.
N50,000 is still a lot. There are students who have no one to assist or pay their fees (e.g. orphans) in sec school..
The state govts/FGN should help stand in the gap and pay any shortfalls in the fees to WAEC.

The previous disclosure indicated that the only thing hindering the publication of Q1 was the delay experienced by AFS '25. What excuse do they have again?
I guess they may want to release the Q1 2026 results a month after the AFS, but the AFS itself was delayed, so they need to abridge the time

DuttyChuks:
Go cross their strait of Hormuz like you did to that girl yesterday and see if you won't collect. Its in their backyard, you don't tell them what they do with it. You can encourage your yellow pawpaw who is now afraid of his shadow to do his worst. Never seen US President been so afraid to die for his people and for the fight he started.
Do you know what you are talking about? The Strait of Hormuz passes between Iran, Oman, UAE and even Saudi Arabia. Go check the map.
Iran cannot hijack it to itself alone. The worst they can do is to control their side. Oman, UAE and S/Arabia have the right to decide on their own side of the strait. Iran is only harassing them because these countries do not have strong military.

By the way: why is Iran not attacking Israel?
Last week, Iran attacked Jordan by sending missiles. Jordan and Israel share borders. Why is Iran avoiding Israel?
I want to see Iran sending missiles to Israel. Every mad person has a master!

How's that possible under a failed government if not for uncle Tiamiyu's intervention
It is possible, especially in an inflationary period after the devaluation of the currency. Prices of goods and services will rise. Stocks, in this contexts, are also ''commodities'' whose prices will rise in tandem with the trend in the economy.
But a stock selling at N500 today, is of less ''real value'' compared to same stock selling for N200 before May 29, 2023

Nigerians and suffering have become inseparable. We politicize and celebrate everything.

When power is restored after an outage, people start jubilating, even though it may not last more than four hours. When children and their teachers are kidnapped and later released, we celebrate, even though it will likely happen again.

We keep celebrating things that should never have happened in the first place. Incompetence is accepted and defended. What a shame.

Meanwhile, the few who lead are living their best lives, while the poor and the brutalized are trapped in hellish conditions, arguing and fighting over meaningless pittance.

Such is life. grin grin grin

To burst the bubble of tribal hypocrites:
This govt is clueless, nepotistic and corrupt!. This is a statement of fact, not a tribal or ethnic comment. There are all Nigerian tribes in this govt!
Tbis is not to give any undue credit to Obi or Atiku. I cannot assess anyone who has not been given the opportunity to rule as president.. I can only assess the one I know as president. Even Obi and Atiku may be worse or better, no one is sure for now . They have to prove themselves

For now, it is Gbaja-Gate all the way! We now have ghost agencies in govt which appears in approved national budgets! Incredible!

You see again? How do you know or assume my "tribesmen" when you dont know me personally?
I am a Nigerian. I just refuse to discuss or debate based on tribe or ethnicity. I discuss Governance issues. I criticised OBJ, Jonathan and Buhari!
And I will criticise anybody else including Obi and Atiku if they mess up or do not do the right thing if they become president! None of them feeds me and my happiness or joy is not tied to whether they become president or not . Same for Tinubu too!

False. The Chief of Defence Staff Lt. Gen Oluyede ably deployed and strategically planned the ops of the armed forces on behalf of the indefatigable President Bola Tinubu GCFR.
Any other claim is treasonable felony.

Long live Nigeria
Long live President Bola Tinubu GCFR!
Why do we sometimes see things always from narrow ethnic or political lenses? It will not help our country to develop!
The CDS may authorise the deployment of troops but he would not be the person to physically lead the actual operation on the ground because he has other junior officers to do that.
Both the Major Gen (earlier mentioned) and the CDS are part of the Nigerian Army, and the president is the Commander in Chief for all of them!
So what is the sense in denying the Major General and giving the credit or glory to Lt Gen Oluyede and Tinubu alone?
The troops that went into the bush to rescue the girls may even have some soldiers who are non-Yoruba..
We must purge our minds of some these things before this ciuntry can make meaningful progress.!

Not every comment must be seen as political

This is the man who led the rescue of the Oyo teachers and pupils yesterday.

Ladies and gentlemen

#DRUMSROLL

Meet Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife.

He is the General Officer Commanding, GOC, 2 Division of the Nigerian Army Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Division oversees about 9 Brigades under its jurisdictions.

I salute you sir!
Nigeria has you and your gallant officers to thank.

Kudos to him and the junior officers and soldiers.
These guys deserve very good conditions of service and motivation because they go through a lot to protect citizens. It is not easy to be a soldier

It takes an extremely sick fella to identify, think or call anybody or everybody that has a contrary opinion on national issues to be "sick fellas".

Very narrow, shallow minded goons who do not understand that democracy is a contest of ideas and opinions, and not a bandwagon of morons who cannit ask critcal questions or demand accountability from their leaders.

My comment is a general one ; not only in relation to the kidnapped girls.

I have no problem with Arise TV because they are not under direct influence of Tinubu even if they are partisan or biased.
I expect TVC to be more objective under another govt, but not under Tinubu who owns it.
I still wished the rescued kids the best of luck. What else do you want me to say to make you and Jagaban happy? Afterall I did not mention Obi or Atiku in my comment!!

Imagine a Lagos where homes and businesses no longer depend on generators.

The Lagos State Government is quietly rolling out one of the biggest power reforms in Nigeria's history—from a 2,000MW electricity expansion to dedicated power plants for Victoria Island and an independent 24-hour power grid for Eko Atlantic.

Could this finally be the beginning of the end for "I pass my neighbour" generators?

More importantly, what does this mean for businesses, property prices, and everyday Lagosians?

We broke everything down in this video with facts, visuals, and simple explanations.

🎥 Watch here:

Do you think Lagos can truly solve its electricity problem, or is this just another promise? Let's discuss.
Has the state got been able to solve water problem? Drainage problem? Housing problem?

Get over it..
My cousin have tried to be recruited by Rangers for years but they never signed him. He is at Enugu as we speak, and he is a full blooded igbo btw. ..

That you became a good player later in life, doesn't mean you were good at the time you were with them. Rangers as a club has helped lots of non igbo players to the top.. As at today, a lot of their players and recent managers are not even igbos.

Taribo West is not igbo, he played for Rangers and became a Super Eagles player. The list is endless. Yall should get off the igbo mans dikc..
And to Moses and his cat legs..,Make we hear word ahbegi..
Stop twisting the issue or the story!
The guy was specific: he was dropped by Rangers because he was not Igbo; not because he was not good at the time.
What happened to different people like Taribo West at Rangers at different times in the past is not the issue here. Stop conflicting the issues.

Let Rangers Intl Club respond to the issue if they have contrary facts!. Simple
