So here's the thing: Ghana is growing at a roaring 6.4% per quarter. They want to be the undisputed powerhouse of West Africa, and to do that, they are flexing their muscle against the continent's economic giant, South Africa.

This is why Dirco (Foreign Affairs) Minister Ronald Lamola cannot treat this with passive diplomacy. We must summon the High Commissioner and demand answers. We cannot allow our national shame to weaponize by regional rivals for something beyond our understanding. It's time to call out the Accra agenda. The NPP spokesperson also referenced the removal of former Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, claiming the public initially paid little attention to the development but has since become more critical of the government's actions. She further argued that key campaign promises, including the proposed 24-hour economy and job creation initiatives, have yet to materialise.

Manu also alleged that some members of the governing NDC privately oppose any attempt to pursue a third-term agenda but are unwilling to speak publicly due to expectations of political appointments. In her words, 'Even within their party (NDC), there are people against the third term agenda plan but they just can't say it because most of them are still waiting for appointments so they can't criticize it but they know for sure that its a bad idea'.


She warned that any move to alter presidential term limits would pose a significant threat to Ghana's democracy, arguing that weakening constitutional safeguards could expose future generations to authoritarian leadership.

When talking about GDP per capita, one thing to consider is POPULATION.

Argentina has a population of 46 Million.
Nigeria has a population of 245 Million.

We have NEARLY 200 Million MORE people than Argentina.
In fact, you can remove 5 Argentinas from Nigeria in terms of population and still have enough people left to populate SMALL country.

A HUGE disparity in population like that will inevitably skew per capita computations.

That said, there TOTAL GDP is still HIGHER than Nigeria.....and that of ALL other countries in Africa.

But when you compute TOTAL GDP in terms of Purchasing Power Parity, Nigeria's is HIGHER.

One of ONLY 2 countries in Africa to manage that.

Finally, Argentina's GDP also comes with a FAT debt of $549 BILLION resulting in over 80.3% Debt-to-GDP ratio.

Compared to Nigeria's GDP which comes with a debt of $103 Billion and a Debt-to-GDP ratio of 35.5%.

Fun fact:
Argentina also has a HIGHER GDP per capita and GDP per capita PPP than China.

Let that SINK in.

What matters is PRODUCTIVITY, and not necessarily Population.

Nations or zones in Nigeria just as in anywhere are successful according to population, urban agglomeration which is an indication of organization and HDI.
In population the SE is the least and it is around one third of the SW or the NW. In urbanization it might be second to the last ahead of maybe only the NE and in HDI it is number one as a zone but below Lagos or Ogun state as stand alones

So how did he count millionaires to say the SE is leading? Is it people with one million dollars of which half of them are in Lagos or he counted people that own their own homes of which the majority will be in the North as they buy more cement? I wonder what he used to arrive at his conclusion?

If the SE had the population then they would stand a better chance of pulling more weight
