ndept:
If you must know, this is @kolaish and I joined this forum around 2015 or thereabout and have been on NSE/NGX for over 3 decades. I went for holiday outside the country and during that period gave the laptop I was using to communicate on this forum to my third child who recently got admission into the university so that he can be using it for school assignment. Coming back, I forgot the login details of my old moniker and the email password. This is the reason why I opened a new moniker @ndept. If the so-called to.ut in the name of streetinvestor2 is bold enough, let him give us his old moniker to know who he is.

I have been long enough to know how many resource persons we have lost on this forum due to ru.de people like him and I will not allow him to turn this platform into a mediocre that he is. If he does not stop abusi.ng and calling people derogatory names here, I am ready to tackle him all the way. Good people should not always keep quiet and allow bad behaviour to linger for long until it becomes a norm. That is part of what led our country to where we are now, because people do not want to tackle bad people/behaviour collectively.

I really appreciate you and your sense of discipline. I would suggest that you ignore irritants on this forum! Thank you and God bless you.

9/11 was done by Israel mossad since US refused to fight Israel war in the region and alleged Iraq of owning WMD which was all lies.

But with 9/11 that was preprated by mossad agent hired in Saudis, that's why US thought it's Arabs not knowing they are brainwashed by mossad to carry out the atrocities.

5 Israeli were dancing while WTC was on 🔥.

They were arrested by FBI and fbi knows who they were and their mission by where released and deported b4 the media will be aware.

Has Israel told you they are tired and cannot continue?
Why are you people shouting ''genocide in Gaza''?
If you want to know if Israel can achieve their target or not, then you people should shut up and let Israel continue with the war and let's see if Hamas will stand.
Israel did not give a timeline or deadline for the war, so they are still on course

Chai, you sef nah thief, that's how someone was arguing that wale Tinubu of oando is not related to thievnubu only for wale himself to call him his uncle after a report came out that oando was worth 50 billion before thievnubu became president and now worth more than one trillion hahaha thieves plenty for Naija and the funny thing b say nah poor fools dey defend and worship the thieves

The worth (market valuation) of a company fluctuates up and down. It does not remain the same for ever. When it goes up, it does not mean that the owner has committed any crime or fraud. It is not thievery.
It only means that more people (investors from Nigeria and abroad) are buying the shares and the price is rising on the stocks market.
The share price of companies owned by Tony Elumelu, Dangote, Otedola, Rabiu, Jim Ovia etc. have also risen astronomically in the past; and that is not a crime.
Tinubu's govt is clueless, useless and incompetent. But separate Oando's market valuation from the govt issues.

Wow. FMN seems to have obtained the requisite approvals, pending shareholders vote at the AGM.
A key difference between FMN and Oando's case is that the SEC did not give its ''No Objection'' response to Oando, an indication that they would reject the delisting

Awolowo was so tribalistic that he can never give free education to people outside his tribe that's my point and that's why I asked you to mention names to drive my point further.

For instance Michael Okpara who was the premier of Eastern Nigeria gave free education too and one of the non Igbos who received it was Ken Saro Wiwa... simple.

Truth can be bitter but it will always remain the truth.

This is what you have been made to believe.
When you refuse to find out and learn, this is what you would say.
Go ask seniors that you know.
Free education and free health services were some of the policies that attracted people to the SW

You see how you used to deceive yourselves and your people?

I will ask you two questions and you can never answer it;

1) Mention any prominent person from the east and south south who were educated in the west with Awolowo's free education program?

2) When did the western Nigeria become the highest producers of Cocoa in the world just like the south east was acknowledged the highest producers of palm oil in the world in the 60's?

1. Go and find out by yourself. Even during UPN era of1979-1983, I attended free school in the SW with a lot of friends from all parts of the country, including the north, SE and SS, Bendel (Edo/Delta).
It is a shame you are looking for a name of a prominent person from SE and SS. Are you saying that the ordinary people from SE and SS who benefitted from the free education are not human beings or are not useful to themselves and society?
Making an impact in life is not all about prominent people!

2. Where did you see or read that I said the SW was the highest producers of Cocoa in the world?
Can't you comprehend well?
The point is Awolowo used the Cocoa money to give free education to everyone living in SW, including people from SE, SS etc. Go and ask seniors if you doubt this.

See this one too
When modakeke fight with Ife, Shebi one can differentiate modakeke born Yoruba from Ife born Yoruba. True they are Yorubas, but from different region Abi? And there was a tussle over land. So why them no agree say we be Yorubas o, don’t let us fight?
Simple question o
Which Yoruba get Lagos? You Dey feel like say I insult you.

Be wise na

Modakeke and Ife war is not different from the many inter-tribal wars in Yoruba land. No tribe in Nigeria has fought more intra-tribal wars than the Yoruba. But Yoruba is Yoruba in spite that we fought ourselves in the old times due to quest for dominance! But the history that binds our ancestry is same and unblemished.
Modakeke and Ife are Yoruba. Or are they from SE or SS?

If Yoruba are not the owners of Lagos, you are free to go and displace them and install your traditional kings and chiefs. Maybe you envy the place and want to be part of the indigenes.

I agree with the first part but the second part has extenuating circumstances to it. Lagos is cosmopolitan filled with different people not just Igbos. First I think it's wrong to assert that people don't want to hear Yoruba. I know a lot of non indigenes that sing Yoruba songs with gusto. Go to churches for example. Even at parties and clubs without knowing what they're singing sef. Yorubas sing Igbo songs too.
But I think it's arrogant to presume everyone should know your language simply because they are in your land. It happens a lot in government offices. You arrive and a government official goes into Yoruba and the takes offence when you admit you don't know the language. This goes to every tribe. Igbos do it. Hausas do it.
We should go back to the days of programs like WAZOBIA to promote an understanding of our languages and foster mutual respect and unity.

My brother, I am not saying people should or must speak a language that they do not understand, or in offices or at official functions..
I am talking about people who just show hostility towards the language, even when they understand and can even speak it.
I have witnessed situations in churches when uneducated old women/men give testimonies, and there are interpreters to translate their message. The moment they start speaking in their local language (Yoruba), you start hearing some people grumbling, hissing and making noises .
A few weeks ago in Lagos, I had to silence a passenger in a commercial bus who was challenging the driver for speaking his local (Yoruba language) with another passenger, even when the driver had told him that the person he (the driver) was speaking to is a fellow Yoruba man who understood his words.

Abuja is NO MAN'S LAND too but not PH.

The money they used in developing PH and other Niger Delta is their money, their blood and their sweat.

I hope you understand it now.

Shallow talk.
The money from Niger Delta was used to develop the whole of Nigeria
Go to Kano, Sokoto and Maiduguri and call them ''no-man's land'' and see if you would survive.

When Awolowo was using cocoa money to implement free education, all the Niger Delta and SE indigenes living in the old western region were not excluded; they all enjoyed the free education like the SW indigenes.

Now, you can no longer think and talking shallow because of oil money.

Have you people being able to build the 4th mainland bridge after all these years?

The way this statement riles Yorubad eh.

It does not rile Yoruba.
What riles the Yoruba is the culture of disrespect for your host community.

A Yoruba person would not leave his town, travel long and go and establish himself in Kano, Abuja, PH etc., become successful, and then open his mouth to call the host city a ''no man's land''! It is an insult to the history and heritage of the people and shows lack of proper home training

Not only this attitude.

The same people also do not want to even hear or listen to Yoruba language when they are in commercial buses, church testimonies etc. even though they are living and making a living in Yoruba land.

There won't be a dramatic difference (no improvement for sure) between what was reported in Unaudited and Audited 2023 results. So nothing to look forward to in that result.
I expect Oando to release the Q1 and Q2 results shortly after the Audited results. These results will be used to guage the outlook for the rest of the year including the current acquisition. In my opinion, Oando will not release the Audited in isolation as there will not be much to celebrate in it. Q1 and Q2 are unaudited and would have been prepared as soon as the board approved the Audited results late August or early September according to their guidance.

Now, we the ''Oando 'gang'' will start feeling the anxiety once again!

As for Q1 & Q2 2024 results, I can only wait and see if Oando would truly deliver and keep to their promise. Unfortunately, any attempt to delay the H1 2024 results will have negative effect on the share price.

I know what I went through when buhari look over, they came in with a different style and it took some biz men/women some years to adapt.

Like oando is a short term stock because the incoming government in 2031 will definitely pounce on them because of the family name and one thing about Nigeria government officials/politicians,they don't care about the company, they can just do whatever they like and move on.
Fair comment.
But I don't think any govt would come to power and attack an upstream oil company (not only Oando) whose operations help to generate forex earnings for the government and national economy.
We the common masses always seem to think that these politicians are enemies, but they are not! We are the ones who kill and destroy ourselves, thinking that the politicians would join forces with us to fight our opponents. They only tell lies and do dirty propaganda to win power., and then everything goes on normal and life goes on. Dont be surprised to see Oando (or any other company) winning more oil block bids or buying another IOC asset when Tinubu leaves office.
Oando bought Unipetrol under Obasanjo in 2001, yet OBJ and Tinubu have been sworn political rivals (not necessarily enemies the way we think)!
Tinubu used to criticise OBJ and promised to reduce fuel price during campaign and people were happy. Look at what his clueless, useless and incompetent govt has done now.
