God1000:When is Iran going to attack Israel? Iran is busy facing Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan etc. instead of Israel. Has Iran missed road? Netanyahu is waiting for Iran to attack Israel so that he can reset the brain of the terrorist regime and IRGC. Nonsense! |
Raider76:Your "monitoring spirit" must be very strong and effective" |
feelamong:Na true ooo! Na wa oo |
faoogoke:Stock bubble is more real time than NGX, if I am not mistaken. |
Kingray10:It is not bad to help other countries. Nigeria also received and still receives help from other countries/ |
KarlTom:PR or no PR, Access bank at current price looks too good to be ignored! It recorded higher profit than FBN last year. |
nairalanda1:Violation of immigration laws does not mean African immigrants should be harassed, molested, attacked, killed and their shops looted by hoodlums and thugs. They even attack people with valid papers. Incidentally, there are similar undocumented immigrant Indians, Lebanese etc. who are not touched or harrassed by these xenophobic South Africans |
Agbalowomeri:I guess it is NAICOM recapitalization deadline for insurance companies, 31-July |
thebargainhunte:Thank you for the ''wonderment'' explanation! See English that ''professors'' are speaking and typing here.! Just like that, just like that! Wonderful.! I should have gone to school and focused on my books but I followed Kabiru to chase after bush rats at Aiyetoro. See me now, I dont know shishi for MPC! ![]() |
thebargainhunte:Is this not too high? How would SMEs and industry have access to cheap funds if MPC is 26.5%? |
aj8:Why cant you keep a ''secret'' for at least 6 months or a year? The ''people'' may not even believe you, so you are like a lone ''prophet'' in the ''wilderness'' ![]() But I am a ''believer'' in your ''ministry'' and ''message of good news'' |
Raider76:Is it an achievement to be renaming institutions? I don't get this obsession for name change ![]() FIRS was renamed to NRS JTB was renamed to JRB Now, NAICOM to what again? |
Kewtt:I pray so too. I want to load some units soon. |
elengine:A very good H1 result may cause a rise in the price! But if other banks declare interim dividends and Access does not, then the price may stagnate or dip further. |
faoogoke:But Access is obviously undervalued! Once they are able to comply with the CBN rule(s), the price will jump to the range of FUGAZ. Ditto for UBA |
Hanibbal:Very naive, shallow story! The US surely has more than enough missiles to decimate Iran. Even if (just if) the US does not have enough missiles, the US has several allies e.g. Israel and the Gulf States that can easily lend their missiles to the US. The US war industry is too prolific in manufacturing replacements than this bullshit. Iran will regret if they believe this kind of bull crap story! |
Starboytwo:Why would the husband run away? This happened in Australia! The govt, civil society, donor organizations and the general public will turn the family into multi-millionnaires plus a lot of social welfare benefits. It is not like Africa |
Mandem05:I get your drift; but in this case, it is not only Nigeria. They are doing similar thing in CIV, Ghana, and Cameroun. The truth is, African countries need to take some bold decisions on how they control their resources and the price at which they sell on the international market. |
LibertyRep:You are totally wrong. These revelations are important and help to carry the people along. Who would have the time to read a 200 or 300 page report? Now, we know that official accounts were opened for the PFPIC at CBN so it was not a fake agency. |
RandDigital:Which favts?. Hypocrites SA What has SA done about the mine workers that masscared a few ago? Is that not genocide? What has SA done about Russsua's senseless killings in the war against Ukraine? Is that not genocide? Meanwhile, SA is even sending ammunitions to aid Russia and even allowed Putin to visit the country contrary to ICC arrest warrant! Then add Xenophobia to the list! Useless hypocrisy by a discredited country |
HesInMe:What has changed is that the producing countries have realized how much they are losing and being short changed by middlemen and chocolate producers who do not grow any Cocoa.. If Nigeria is not able to do anything, about it, fine. But CIV and Ghana are determined to do something about it because Cocoa provides significant revenue for their budget |
faoogoke:They dont want, or they are reluctant to do that. Hence the decision by the 4 countries. |
pluto09:The decision to curtail or minimise the wholesale export of raw Cocoa was not taken by Nigeria alone. It was a joint-decision by the largest producers of Cocoa in the world- CIV, Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroun but the meeting was held in Abuja |
Agbalowomeri:Exactly, that is one of the demands being made by the biggest producers. As it is now, some local producers dont even get the beans to buy because some middlemen pre-finance the buyers, so they collect all the beans and ship abroad for huge profits. |
pluto09:It is not banning export by fiat. Maybe that is what Nigeria is trying to do. But CIV and Ghana are planning schemes that would enable them buy all the beans from the local farmers, supply enough to local manufacturers, and then be in a position to determine or control the price of the remainder to be exported abroad. This would cut off the middlemen. Currently, local producers don't get enough of the beans as everything is exported and the countries are not even able to determine the price; meanwhile middlemen are making much profits because they pre-finance the farmers and then export the beans abroad for huge profits. |
pluto09:What is important is for the farmer to know the price on the international market and willingness/capacity of the local buyers to pay exactly or something very close to that. The local buyers in this instant would be chocolate producers, manufacturers, and even govt agencies. If this can be done consistently and fairly, the local industry would be better for it. |
Oasisblue:It ultimately depends on what the producer countries (CIV, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroun) would do. These 4 countries acount for about 75% of global cocoa output. If the agree and cooperate well, they will dictate what happens. Incidentally, 2 are Franco-phone and 2 are Anglo-phone Oil industry is a bit different: it is highly technology and capital intensive, that is why the IOCs like Shell, Mobil etc. could dominate and dictate what happens global. |
Oasisblue:The Oyinbo chocolate industry (Europe basically) do not have Cocoa, so they can only negotiate and lobby. The most important stakeholders Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria need to cooperate to achieve the stated goals. |
amazonguru001:Most of them were tricked, in search of ''jobs'. Signed documents in Russian language, only to be driven to the war front, and there is no going back. |
megawealth01:You have already indicated the ''order'' na. FBN gang will come for you now, better ''run''! |
robosky02:A very good defender or defensive midfielder can be the best player. In 2006, the world best player Fabio Cannavaro and he was a defender |
Nword22:The petitioners are not living in SA. They live in Ghana. Read well and google their names |
