Heard if you don’t have transit visas for countries you’ve got layovers, you won’t be able to board.

Grateful to this page for sharing live experiences of people seeking visa to Australia which has guided a lot of them to greener pastures and most times it’s really hard to keep coming back here. I started following the thread from part 1 and by part 2 I was granted a study visa to WA, having put into practice almost everything I read from here, I was granted my permanent residency May 2020 and coming back to share my good-news I realised it’s already up to part 3. Whatever you are looking for is here and don’t give up, have a plan, stick to it and you’ll not be disappointed. Looking forward to sharing my citizenship news when that come through as well. Hope you all have a great day

Interesting. Please I will like to know how many months/year was approved for the tourist visa.
I have submitted an application for my mom for close to 3 weeks now. Biometrics have been done and I was thinking she will be contacted for medicals too... Still waiting for any info
They were granted single entry for a 3 months period, she won’t need medicals and I’m sure her grant is just around the corner.

My question isnt really related to PR and all.
I am 7months pregnant and want to apply for a Visa for mumsy to come and stay like a month with me after the baby is born. I do not know how to go about this. Do we apply for regular tourist visa? Or family sponsored? We'll be paying for her trip so I'm confused.
Anyone with any experience/ideas/suggestions? I'm a PR married to australian citizen.
Thank you!
If you are a PR or citizen then you’d be able to write them invititation and believe me the process is easy and straightforward. I had my mum and my sister over last month, my wife wrote the invite as she’s a citizen n I’m not (me=TR). I did the application myself and it took 3 weeks to process and receive their grants, all they did was get their biometrics captured in Lagos and there’s no medicals for the tourist visa steam. If you need any information please don’t hesitate to ask, good luck!

please i need someone to tell me how to apply to finders university in Australia...the link to register, what to bring, just break it down for me because i don't understand all your terms here...please help a sister
You’ve got to google Flinders Uni Australia, go through their website which I assume to be informative. Then if you need clarification on anything you can throw it to the house.

If the tourist visa covers your family, you are free to bring them along for the holiday.
I meant I’m here on a temporary residence visa which covers just me but want my family back in Nig to come visit me here in Au

Thanks but no friends over there.
What state and uni?? Backpackers is another option, uni accomodation is not worth the fee plus it limits the kind of people you'll meet.

Mikey,

Once you get a positive assessment from your assessing authority and meet the 60 points requirement, you can apply. Once you submit application, you will be given a bridging visa immediately till the determination of your visa.

Nothing stop you from applying, don't mind those saying otherwise.
Thanks a lot bro, I really appreciate..

Hi fam, I got a query to make please. I'm currently studying MSc in project management in AU but have an undergraduate in estate management from NIG which is in the SOL. I plan on doing my assessment soon in other to switch from 573 to 189 as I have all the requirements. Have anybody here passed through this kind of transition from 573 to 189/190 because I'm getting mixed response here in AU, some say that my 573 will be cancelled giving citation that I'm not a GTE while some said they know people who successfully pulled the stunt. Thanks for your anticipated response..

Is there anyone Resident in Perth I would love to hear your Experience as I intend to leave sydney for somewhere else?
Depends on what you want to know, I can say that cost of living in both cities are high and almost similar but I reckon Sydney might be slightly higher, it's tight getting jobs here without training now and I'm saying this cos amongst my fellow countrymen in my uni, I'm the only one currently working without training(Luck). You'll be asked about your access to a reliable car on most job interviews.. I can't really tell what you want to hear but if you narrow down your query, I might be able to assist.

I'm not so sure but I'm hearing here that you can be eligible for all those grants 2 years after you got your PR.

It happens when you put some wrong infos. Aussie4me had thesame problem and I helped her sorted it out. Can I ask if you can send it to me for me to check for you?

Can I also ask who sent you the grant Letter? Is it directly from a CO or an Agent?
I have a friend that had same issues, he emailed his co and she replied that it might be from the server that his visa is in their system and he's got nothing to worry about. Today he's in Brisbane, I'd say that if his visa is valid he's got nothing to worry about

Thanks boss
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Mikey(m): 4:26am On Feb 24, 2016
@alaoeri
Also if you get 60 points without working experience can you still apply?
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Mikey(m): 4:24am On Feb 24, 2016
alaoeri:
Whether you are onshore or offshore, if you are applying for PR you must use your B.Sc which is 15points, Oz two years post graduate study is just 5points & if you are lucky to study in regional area additional 5points.
Visit www.border.gov.au and check visa subclass 485 which is post graduate working visa & see the criteria for eligibility.
Thanks a lot, getting here is just the 1st phase. PR is another thing all together
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Mikey(m): 3:35am On Feb 23, 2016
Please I'd be needing to talk to someone in Oz about post graduate working visa and applying for pr from Oz. I need clarification on If you can use your B.Sc for nomination.
