Delta state is more of amaechi except something changes before May 30th. There's nothing childish in seeking for a proof. I just told you I didn't see him in the clip I watched.
WHY I WANT TO SERVE NIGERIA AS PRESIDENT - OSINBAJO

*Visits Edo, Delta States in continuation of meetings with APC delegates

*Osinbajo's credentials intimidating, co-contestants are shivering by now - Oba Of Benin

Giving his best in dedicated service to Nigeria’s progress and development is the utmost motivation to run for president, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Just as he emphasized his heartfelt desire to serve if given the ticket under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Osinbajo noted that the country needed more committed leaders ready to make sacrifices for the good of the people to ensure its further development.

The Vice President spoke on Thursday during his engagements with delegates and stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benin, Edo State; and in Asaba, Delta State.

The VP’s trips to Edo and Delta States are in continuation of his nationwide engagements with APC delegates and stakeholders. The VP also paid courtesy calls to the palaces of the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II; and the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof.) Chike Edozien, where he officially informed the monarchs of his desire to run for president.

Just as it has been in every other state he has visited so far – Oyo, Ondo and Ogun, Prof Osinbajo received a rousing welcome from the people, including on the streets, supporters, cultural dancers, residents and very enthusiastic party delegates, who came out in numbers to declare their support for his candidacy.

On arrival in Benin, the Vice President was received at the airport by the Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, and other government officials; while he was received at the airport in Delta State by the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, among other senior government officials.

The VP, who spoke passionately about the motivation to run for President, said "my purpose is to serve this country. When it comes to serving this country, it is the desire of my heart."

Thanking the APC delegates for their cooperation and support in the states, Prof. Osinbajo stated, “I am deeply grateful for all the support I have received, from this particular camp of our party, individually and collectively.”

Restating how the opportunities he was given by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve in government and undertake major assignments have prepared him ahead for the presidency, the VP noted that “the whole premise and objective of my running as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is to serve this nation; It is a matter of responsibility,” adding that there is no way “I could have become Vice President, if not by the special grace of God.

“We need leadership that is committed, truthful and who would make sacrifices for others. These are the types of leaders that would transform Nigeria."

“With the cooperation of everyone who is here, we can actually do things that will transform this nation… we will, indeed, transform this nation. Change involves people, and people placed at a particular area or in a position where they can really make a difference.”

Highlighting the essence of service for the greater good of the country, the VP noted that "in choosing the leader for our country, let's not be sentimental."

While responding to questions from delegates in both States, Prof. Osinbajo highlighted the efforts of the Buhari administration in improving the business environment through its Ease of Doing Business reforms over the past few years.

The VP also highlighted the impact of the Administration’s Social Investment Programmes; adding that he would also focus more on the development of youths and how technology could be deployed to improve the skills of young people; as well as education, health and agriculture, among other critical sectors to spur national development.

Earlier, the Oba of Benin, who warmly received the VP at his palace, prayed for the success of the VP's presidency project, extolling his qualities.

In his remarks, the revered monarch stated that other co-contestants on the platform of the ruling party (APC) and other political parties for the position to become Nigeria’s next President are shivering because of the intimidating dossier of the Vice President.

According to Oba Ewuare II, "Your Excellency, we have heard the reasons why you’re here today. We don’t have to over flog your credentials; they speak for themselves anywhere. I always admire your eloquence."

Continuing, the Oba said, "no doubt, your credentials; since you have come out to run for this great office, I think you are going to give a lot of problems to all the other contestants.

“There is no gainsaying that they all probably shivering where they are because of your credentials; coupled with your calmness, your humility and great respect for culture and being a true man of God, who has the fear of God in his heart."

“The monarch further noted that, "if we have politicians in the country that have the fear of God in their hearts, not just to go there to rape the treasury and oppress people, whether at the presidential level or gubernatorial level, I think the country will be better for it."

While urging politicians to always put the country first in all their engagements, the Oba assured the VP of continuous prayers from the Benin Kingdom for the actualisation of his desire.

"But what we see, Your Excellency, most of the time, is people rushing to be president, vice president, or governors, only to get there to enrich their pockets, to enrich themselves, leaving the electorates that put them there, hard and dry. This kind of thing should change. They should put the electorate first."

He also thanked President Buhari for setting the records straight on the issue of the artefacts returned to the Benin Kingdom, stating that the people remain indebted to him.

Giving his royal blessings to the aspiration of the Vice President, the Oba said, "as a man of God, if by the grace of God, you are the man, you have a whole lot on your shoulder to remove all these vices out of our society; make Nigeria a better place to live and a tourist destination in all spheres. We have great human and material resources in this country, and we can even see or discover a lot more.

"We want to stay here in Nigeria and enjoy the good things of life in Nigeria, not in Dubai, not in the United States and some other countries."

Similarly, in Asaba, the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien, prayed for the success of Prof. Osinbajo in his desire to become the next President of Nigeria.

During his meetings with party stakeholders and APC delegates, the VP fielded questions on a variety of issues ranging from governance, security, economy and politics, among others.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the Vice President had an Iftar dinner with State House Correspondents at his Aguda House residence, where he also discussed his 2023 Presidential bid.

Laolu Akande

It is the inner people that knew the full people that participate in meeting the delegates, Even though omo agege left early, the only apc reps member in delta state and agege's right hand man who is also one of the cordinators of osinbajo campaign group, honourable Francis Ejiroghene Waive, stayed and many others, I don't need to be telling you all these, because to me it sounds childish. I will not talk about other regions for PYO for now, but I have given you a clue on delta already.

Post a picture of Omo Agege with Osinbajo in Delta state. I watched it and didn't see Omo Agege.

As for Edo State just forget about it. Oshiomhole owns and controls the state structure. Like I said before the VP will be received but nothing for am.
What kind of childish play was that, I should post a picture of omo agege, if you don't believe he was with the the VP in Delta state, no problem naw.

Stop building castles in the air. Face reality and have peace. Lagos and Osun have the highest numbers of delegates in the south west and these two states are locked down for Tinubu. So where's your VP getting his 800 out of 1500 from? As we speak today there's no single state in the southwest that is locked down for the VP. Not even Ogun State where he recently ran to.

By the way I've not mentioned kaduna in any of our discussion. I mention states with concrete and verifiable fact. I don't do emotional analysis like you. We'll know where kaduna belongs to in due time as we progress in the game. El rufai is a bold and fearless leader. We'll know where he belongs.
Don't worry then, since tinubu will have 100% delegates votes in lagos and osun, that means you should just go and sleep and tell tinubu to sleep also, he has won already, yeye dey smell. Moreover, I have not yet done other analysis outside the SW I have my reason for that, subsquently, I will do that, I only gave the VP ogun and oyo in the South West and gave tinubu osun and lagos to tinubu, while ekiti and ondo are swings states depending on the circumstances there, I have done this analysis over three months ago, even before you people start seeing the signs in ogun and oyo recently I remember you all gave tinubu clean sweep all across the SW then. Anyway, time is a gentleman.

Indispensable85:
Hahahahahahahaha...........I can only laugh at this your submission brother.
Hahahahahahahaha........... Now that you've admitted defeat in the south west, I can tell you categorically that there's no zone in this country where Osinbajo will have more delegates than Tinubu in simple majority. It's not a 2months thing, e don tay monkey for tree. Know this and know peace.
I did not admit defeat in Sw, 800 delegates is more than half of the total delegates of 1500 in SW, the remaining 700 delegates would be shared between tinubu and the others, I am realistic, not like you guys that will be quoting figures from kaduna, knowing fully well that el rufai can never work for Tinubu. Other regions are as good as roses for PYO. No need for argument again, the month of May is here.

Indispensable85:
It's not about how you feel bro.
Who does the VP have in Lagos and Osun to help him split the delegates.?
But I can mention names of people in Ogun who can ganner adequate number of delegates for Tinubu.

Hope you're not banking on Aregbesola because we saw his strength in the last guber primary. He has been totally brushed out of the state structure. Hope you're not banking on Ambode because he's no where to be found. Hahahahahahahaha...............

In Ogun we have gbenga daniel, kaka, osoba, yayi. I don't speak from emotions,my thoughts are laden with facts. I'm waiting for you to mention the names you have in Lagos and Osun. U tink say na clear eye VP take avoid doz two states? Lol........
Direct primary election is different from indirect election, for your own information Aregbe controls statutory delegates in Osun, as for lagos watch out for those statutory delegates Asiwaju denied the tickets to return to both legislative houses and also those loyal to Ambode. PYO target is just 800 numbers in SW,which will be secured and we go for the shockers outside the SW. Just watch out, I don't want to talk too much

There's a reason a closed door meeting was held and no revelation about what was discussed. It's obvious it is to save face. If he had endorsed Osinbajo, his supporters would have flooded everywhere with the News.
To save face you said? Either you accept it or not, PYO was there for high powered politicking.

I'm betting with you on SANI BELLO.
As for Ogun State it's a no man's land as if today. The delegates there will be split amongst the contending forces in the state.
So the delegates will not be splited in lagos and osun? Keep deceiving yourself, reality is here already. Cheers!

He didn't meet with oshiomole or ize iyamu the grassroot mobilizers in edo state. Osinbajo is far from learning how to play politics in Nigeria. His only card is his position as vice president otherwise he like an empty shell politically. A man who lost his own polling station?
He did not need to meet Oshiomhole and ize inyamu, in politics you can't have 100% on your side, moreover he meet other powerful stakeholders, 1 former governor, 2 former deputy governors, and many honourables also apc state chairman, and all local govt apc chairmen in edo, at delta state, ovie omo agege stood by him all through and every other important apc guys in Delta state.

Lol...... what's the surprise in spending 3hrs begging and being turned down. Niger State governor Lolo has been a close ally of Tinubu for decades. See you don't buy alliance overnight. It's built over the years. The primary results will clear your doubts.

You didn't tell us what happened to star boy in Edo and Delta states. Hahahahahahahaha...... the message was clear to him. After the primary election you'll know the difference between talent and gift. Lol....... They're still mocking him in Benin. My brother is a delegate from Edo and was in the meeting.
Everything went well both in Edo and Delta, the news were everywhere so why should I tell people, as for sanni bello, you guys just like to attach Asiwaju to everybody , he was there for high power politicking, He will still go back to Niger state to meet the stakeholders later , that was how you guys were swearing, Abiodun is for Tinubu, until it happens, but take it to the bank, sani bello is not for Tinubu, I will reveal more not now. I have forgotten the moniker of one guy I told here about Abiodun allegiance to PYO that if he eventually finds out it is true, that he should come back and show respect, till now, I have not heard from him,you can bet on sani bello, if you want, what I just need later is for you to come back and show respect that's all, and if it is the other way round, I will do same.

You will be surprised that most of Tinubu votes in this primary will come from the north, you see states like Kano, katsina and Borno is 100% lockdown by Jagaban.

States like Kaduna, Adamawa, Niger and kwara will give 80% to jagaban.

These are outside his Southwest base o, Lagos and Osun has a very high number of delegates, only below Kano and Katsina I think, these two states is also 100% lockdown for Jagaban.

You all will be thought another master class in politics by June 1st grin grin
Newspaper stand spectator analysis, the only comfort zone for Tinubu was SW, but he is no more comfortable there again, PYO target is just 800 delegates from SW, and he will get it. Ogun and oyo states have many delegates as well, it's not looking good for asiwaju in the SS and SE, moreover the North is largely PYO, I know you will argue it, but just wait and see. Cheers!

This is the way to go star boy, get enough delegates votes from SW and lockdown other regions, especially the North . Guys this is another surprise for you to think about. I can bet before the primary many aspirants would have given up, trust me.

Pay for YouTube views than get exposed in a life stadium public declaration

Long time Amaechi advocate, where have you been? So you have not stoped this your yeye analysis, PYO that is a moving train, someone that just took ogun and oyo state that is making all of them running and panicking, is the one you claimed he has no structure, what defines a structure if I may ask, dont you know that the Governors are the heads of every structure in their respective states?so whoever has more governors will win and never underestimate the power of the president too. Like you said May is here already, about your assumption that Osinbajo pay people online to campaign for him, I can tell you, I know like three people here that are well to do, and are campaigning for PYO, for example myself, I have upto seven workers working for me in naija that I pay every month, more than the amount you guys claim they pay people to be an urchin, I am taking this osinbajo's crusade because I am convinced he will deliver. Politics2023-other Contestants Must Be Shivering , Oba Of Benin to Osinbajo by MikoB(op):
Oba of Benin, Ewuare II and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II on Thursday received Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at his palace in Benin City, Edo state, noting that, Osinbajo’s credentials have left other aspirants shivering.

His Royal Father who said he was supposed to be away for a meeting, explained that he waited to “receive our dear son of the soil”.

Speaking at the palace, the Vice President said with the experiences he had acquired he believes he has what it takes to become the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Oba of Benin replied that his credentials are well known, noting that, “Wish you well, we will be praying for you here in the palace. With your credentials and entrance to the race other contestants must be shivering wherever they are.”

Adding that, “We don’t have to over flog your credentials, they speak for themselves. I always admire you greatly.”

The Oba of Benin then went on describe Prof. Osinbajo as son of the soil. “I was supposed to be in Abuja today for a meeting but I had to put it on hold to receive our dear son of the soil, Yemi Osinbajo.”

Delegates vote during primaries not the general public. The governor's man is the state party chairman, and he controls the delegates. The Amosun faction is not recognized by the national APC body. So Amosun has no delegate of his own that will vote against Osinbajo except he (Amosun) himself and one other senator. All the other delegates (LG chairmen, house of assembly guys, reps, governor, deputy governor etc are all for Dapo Abiodun
Just leave them, most of them are newspaper stands spectators, they don't want to accept they have lost ogun to Osinbajo, Oyo state machinery is in the hands of teslim folarin and it was Osinbajo that helped him to win against adelabu penkelemes faction who is an ally of Tinubu, so the two states are sure bankers for PYO, the biggest surprise will come outside the SW,they should all all watch out!

It's not Hypocrisy! Its called VALUES. Btw, there's no certainty I won't get a better role elsewhere or that I would even get that particular role; So why make my friend regret ever helping me?

My friends know me and I am sure yours know you also. Cheers!
You sound so funny I swear! Even asiwaju himself will not say this, do you know who brought Tinubu into lagos politics? I will lecture you a little bit, Dapo Sarumi provided the platform for asiwaju to be come the senator in 1992, Asiwaju contested against the same Sarumi for governorship in 1999,but that was politics and according to most of you. It was late Bola Ige and baba Adesanya that helped asiwaju to deprive funsho Williams the AD ticket and gave it to Asiwaju in 1999,but Asiwaju supported olu falae for presidential against the same Bola Ige that helped him, Asiwaju formed new Afenifere renewal group against these men that made him, you all call it politics not betrayal, Nigeria presidency is not a chieftancy title that you have to apply culture or age into, we are talking of over 200million populace,Asiwaju should work for the ticket if he wins fine if not, there is always time for the other time! As for Osinbajo, I salute him for his courage, he has written his name on the list of courageous people already. Thanks

Quote me on this - I will NEVER compete with a friend who got me a job for a Director role in the same company while sitting on same seat I got through him. I would rather use the experience acquired through that job and get another big role elsewhere. Must I be the director? Would I be applying for that Director role if I was not brought into that company by my friend?

The fact that you would do that to a friend shows why you support Osinbajo. It's about how differently everyone was brought up and see things and I would respect your view but for many of us, it is treachery. Accepting to serve as a nominee of a man and having your elections financed by him is enough for one to avoid competing with him if you have a high moral standard.

Worthy of note is the fact that MOST of those pushing Prof and hailing him didn't even know him until Tinubu nominated him for VP.

Everyone heard Governor Bala Mohammed loud and clear this week and we can see what Loyalty and Gratitude means. Bala even though from the North, is the quintessential OMOLUABI.. It's a shame an Ogun state indigene does not give a damn about that.
Hypocrisy at the highest level, you will not compete because your friend? I don pass that level my friend.

I honestly want good governance and I am from same state as Prof but my moral compass will never allow me support what he did. I expected him to go to Tinubu, negotiate and step down if Jagaban doesn't. You can play a big role in Tinubu's government and serve the country. I was an adult during Jagaban's reign as Lagos Governor and I am 100% sure he's a better wealth creator than Osinbajo.

You don't accept largesse from a man and go on to challenge him for his lifetime position while sitting on the same seat he nominated you for.

This move will discourage people from pulling people up. Write it down; It will be referenced when others ask for help. Who the hell was Osinbajo when Jagaban nominated him? Fashola was our starboy!
With all due respect, I totally disagree with you, rather than saying Osinbajo betrayed Tinubu I will say It was Tinubu that betrayed Osinbajo, look at it this way, if I helped you to get a job in a company, does that mean when the position of a Director is opened in the company and you are qualified, I should now tell you I am interested and I don't want you to apply for it, be real, how will you feel? Moreover in naija everybody knows how the governorship successors always betray their predecessors who helped them in almost 80% of the cases, this guy Osinbajo has been loyal to asiwaju for 7 seven years now as a VP, he was loyal to him when he had the certificate issue with late gani fawehinmi, even asiwaju himself confirmed this, he said some commissioners left him, but Osinbajo stood firm, how on earth if not for greed that you will tell a seating VP not to contest for the presidency when he is already one heart beat to the throne, that will be a great injustice and a betrayal of trust to the populace of the country. Let Asiwaju campaign if luck shines on him he might win, politics can be very funny sometime, but Osinbajo has done no wrong.

The emboldened invalidates your 'exposure.' You're a worshipper of men, godfathers. According to you, since Tinubu is contesting, no one else from the region should. Every single person Tinubu has worked with in Lagos state government, from Fashola, Ambode, (we should expect same from Sanwo-Olu) have had issues with him. We all know these issues are not unrelated to Lagos state revenue and imaginary "agreements".

If BAT and his camp members are not greedy thieves, Fashola and Ambode wouldn't have issues with them. Today, these past governors do not respect him. As a matter of fact, Fashola controls a significant unit of APC in Lagos. Have you seen Fashola anywhere campaign for the greedy thief? Why don't you all call him odale?

Yet, people like you sit back to misuse the word "odale". What's "odale" and who exactly did PYO betray? Where you there when Osinbajo reached an agreement with anyone not to contest the 2023 election? What's the content of the agreement, or you guys are just bitter to see another Yoruba man with APC presidential form because your perceived godfather is contesting? Respect to you means being loyal to a 90-year-old man at the expense of 250 million lives?

As per your RCCG narration, please keep that in your pocket. Tinubu's wife is also a pastor in RCCG so your godfatherism ideas could be related to your loyalty to another pastor.

You guys don't really know the reason you are hearing Jonathan now, I will not be surprise if he eventually declares to run because others have thrown in their hats already, I mean UMAYI and AYADE, it was the presidential tickets they promised them by Buni and his cohorts when he was the chairman , that made them to decamp to apc in the first place, but I can guarantee you one thing it will not fly, because Buhari will not endorse him. Thank you

Keep deceiving yourself grin
Osinbajo maybe paper weight from your perspective but not Dapo Abiodun.
He own APC structure in the state.
He truncated Amosun candidate in 2019
19/26 loyal House of Assembly
20/20 Local Government Chairmen
236/236 Councillors
5/9 of House of Representatives
Dapo is the new face of APC leader in Ogun State.
Though he is performing below expectations.
Just leave them, it's only ogun state they have seen, many are still coming, most of these guys are newspaper stands, spectators.
