Unfortunately vice president can only act at the behest of the president.
God willing, the time of your acting is at hand, our dear in coming president. Of course, he has done it before when he was fully in charge and he will do it again, when he climbs the mantle of leadership soon. |

Ekpoudom: Lagos has some of the worst road infrastructure in Nigeria? Seriously? And you indicated you live in Lagos! Have you been to any other state in Nigeria?
Despite the difficult to manage soil and the fact that Lagos is situated below sea level, thus making road construction and maintenance very challenging, Lagos has done very well - much better than most of its peers whose grounds are drier.
I do agree of course that much more needs to be done but let’s not lie and call Lagos what it is not.
Thanks. Yes I stand with what I wrote that lagos roads are not good when you compare it with the revenue she makes, my brother you can't compare lagos state with other states in naija because the gdp and the revenue are not the same, you can only compare lagos with likes of Johannesburg, Cairo, etc in africa, not to talk of other European cities. |

Eriokanmi: Don't let what Nigerialabalaba is saying pain you bro. For your info, I had received more attacks from his likes, more than anybody here on NL. I'm a descendant of Pa Jakande, the former Lagos State governor. Each time I speak against Tinubu, either they call me ipob or they say some nonsensical stuffs. They always call me edo boy which am not denying. My dad is edo, I was born in lagos and my mum is lagosian both by birth and origin..dad too was born here and lived all his life here. I'm even more of a lagosian than Tinubu their fake leader who hails from Iragbiji in osun. I dare any of them to go to Ibadan and mention tinubu in the ears of the youths, they'd receive the beating of their lives. Tinubu doesn't even have the guts to campaign in ibadan and feel welcome by their people the way he and late ajimobi nearly milked that state dry through Alpha Beta his company.
A couple of years back when I contested the origin of Tinubu here, all his nairaland urchins took swipe at me, saying he's from tinubu family in lagos and true lagosian. The day I referred them to Tinubu's Wikipedia page where he himself stated clearly that he attended his primary school in osun state, they kept quiet and I dare anyone to visit the page if in doubt. You cannot claim to be from Tinubu's family in lagos and go to osun state to attend primary school, when your parents aren't government workers who receive transfers from place to place. Hajia Habibatu mogaji who adopted him was never a civil servant at any point in time. She was a trader in lagos Island.
That said, I blame the Afeniferes for fielding Amoda Onileere AKA tinubu in 1999 instead of Omoluabi Eko, the late Funsho Williams. Lagos would have been competing with the likes of major Western cities today. Each time Tinubu's blind supporters post Lagos GDP and revenues on social media, I'd just laugh because that's not even the realities on ground. Lagos would have been far richer with massive infrastructures without Tinubu. This man had mortgaged lagos patapata porogodo. He's in Healthcare (BT)Bola Tinubu Diagnostics inside lasuth, he's also in transportation cos his son is the director of BRT, Ojota-Ikorodu axis, His daughter is the iyaloja General of lagos so he's in commerce as well. Don't forget he's also in construction cos he's owns Hitech. That's not all, he also has his hands in aviation, His company Alpha Beta where his osun brother and governor Oyetola was director, collects lagos Revenues. He's also in government cos those law makers and political appointees you see send him a fixed sum, monthly.
If you check it, those shouting his name here are beneficiaries of his greed in one way or the other...either their parents are politicians or senior civil seevants in lagos.
If not for Ambode who opened our eyes with massive infrastructures, we wouldn't have realised how rich lagos is today. This guy commissioned 45 roads in alimosho alone in one day, I was shocked. I don't want to even mention bridges and works done in other LGAs. Suddenly, Tinubu ganged up against him cos he blocked lots of loop holes and refused to give contracts to his cronies who would collect money and would never do the job. Go to the street in front of Aregbesola's House in alimosho, the contract was awarded to aregbes's wife who doesn't know Jack about construction. 3 months later, erosion washed off everything.
Under ambode, lagos declared budget surplus in decades. He just wanted to work and when they couldn't find any allegations against him, tinubu said he brought in vision scape, lol. That he's not a democrat, that he abandoned the lagos vision but same guy built the largest BRT interchange in Africa at oshodi, constructed BRT lane from oshidi to abule Egba under the jubilee bridge which he constructed and commissioned earlier than schedule. Tinubu now used Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker against him by stopping ambode's access to public funds. That's why he couldn't complete other projects which he started. While he achieved this much, he was barely 3 years in government oo. I forgot to mention over 700 brt blue buses which he ordered as seen all over lagos today yet they claimed he abandoned lagos vision, when they didn't see any allegations to level against this man. Even the visionscape wasn't his company as wrongly alleged. Tinubu can't swear by quran that he doesn't know anything about visionscape cos the owner is his son's friend.
The onus is ours to get it right next year or we allow them to keep holding sway. Pa jakande ( may he continue to rest in peace) built the largest housing estate in Africa less than 4 years in his term. Ask tinubu what has he and his team done since 1999 on housing compared to the lagos Revenues and the time they've spent so far in government. Instead they keep using lagos 4th mainland bridge to cajole us every 4 years when election is near. That lagos literail was started by Pa jakande but buhari stopped it for no reason in the 80s. The man promised completing it in 8 years then. Between 1999 and now, they're still talking lagos literail lol . He keeps buying private jets when he's not bill Gates...3 jets oo.
Even if he's using juju. Oogun ę ti baję lotę yii. Brace up for a new dawn next year bro. We're on it already. Thanks so much bro, Infact I was born and brought up in lagos but originally from ondo state, both parents. I am a dual citizen, Franco nigerian, so I am well travelled,I care less of any attack because I know most of them are not expose and need to be enlightened. Imagine they boast of high revenue that lagos makes but they refused to ask where is the money going to, as you rightly stated lagos can even do better in revenue, if she has the right people, Asiwaju is panicking because he knows with Osinbajo winning the primary it will be the end of his dynasty, even Sanwo olu will change allegiance immediately. I know 2023 election is not going to be an ordinary election, because Nigerians are getting wiser each day. |

Diligence: Dear SouthWest Political Zone: It's indeed high timed you delived your region from the grip of one man. Lagos should hv bn a metropolitan city, but for BAT and his ilks... It is now or never.... Infact, this is a big opportunity for lagosians to liberate themselves from the shackles of one man. yemmit90: Mark my words or bookmark this today, if Osinbajo mistakenly become president, he would plumb this country into state of anarchy and war.
Being a devoted pastor and his alignment with RCCG wont go down well with Bandit, boko haram and their Islamic extremists sponsors. No one will fear him, they will take instructions and do nothing, just like the way they are currently doing with sick Buhari. I dont even fancy Tinubu guy but looking at Nigeria situation, our next president should never be someone like current vice president.
I really like his personality but he doesn't have the charisma and courage to unify and defeat the kind of insecurity he would inherit from Buhari. In a sane society where people are wise and highly educated, the like of Osinbajo after oversees the current pathetic economy for 7 years wont have moral right to declare for president, but this is Nigeria where everything is being analyse on Religion and ethnic sentiments. The only time he was fully in charge he solved so many problems, for example the problem of Niger delta militants, till now do you still hear about the activities of the militants there? The economy got a boost when he was fully in charge as well. We never can say, maybe different approach to things might change the direction for good in the war against bandits and terrorists |

But go round your area in Lagos and you will count thousands, which are not just recently built, but have always been even before old Cross River State was created, talkless of Akwa Ibom. Now compare that with Lagos almost 20m people with little land mass.
Most of you guys are just mumu. Commenting nonsense just to get "likes" You did not read what I wrote, did you? Home Politics 2023: Delta APC pledges support for Amaechi By Rapheal 13 hours Ago
Minister of Transport and Presidential Aspirant, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has taken his consultations for the 2023 Presidential primary to Delta State where the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State declared total support for his candidacy. Amaechi who met with the leadership of the APC and delegates in Asaba, Friday, urged delegates to vote for him for his competence and not just because he is from the South South. He also paid a visit to the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien.
Speaking to the delegates, Amaechi said, “There are two essential elements that takes people to power, governance and infrastructure. If you combine this two, you create an economy. I am ready for you to run a referendum on my past activities. Governor for eight years, speaker for eight years, and Minister for seven years. Let anybody who says Amaechi should not be President ask ‘what is his capacity?’ As Minister for Transport, I was on this track, Warri-Itakpe rail line. When we came, there were bushes and trees on the track. And knowing that South South is part of Nigeria, I got the President to approve money, it wasn’t a loan, it was funded from the budget. Today, you can travel from Itakpe to Warri, Warri to Itakpe and then to Abuja.
“As Minister, I don’t think the Nigerian people will say I’m an absentee minister. I’m a Minister that is present almost all the time, because I know what it is to deliver to the people. I have that capacity to deliver. Vote for me because I have the capacity to turn Nigeria around, and when I get there, please hold me accountable.”
Earlier, the Chairman, Delta State APC, Omeni Sobotie thanked Amaechi for being instrumental to the resolution of all issues within the APC in Delta State and bringing them back together as one, adding that the party is going into the primaries as a united front.
“In our midst is a man who has the courage of a lion. When you have courage, you are in the majority. But for your courage sir, the South South would have been put to shame. We stand with you, we stand behind you. We have 88 statutory delegates here, by the time we add the adhoc delegates it will be 161. We want to assure you that all the votes will be cast in your favour,” the chairman said. Did you get any news about the outcome of PYO visit to the two states? Because you didn't even know what happened, so keep guessing, anyway they all gave assurances to the VP, but for us is not news, it is when the governors make such pronouncements that can sound big in eyes of naija press. |
