Sannisege:Learn how to talk without been rude. |
Starhearts:You guys should stop all these newspaper stands information you all carried about, the Governor controls the structure that dictates the delegates, moreover who told you most of the people you mentioned are against PYO, Gbenga Daniel was with him yesterday and many more. Abeg |
Another paid lazy journalism! |
simpleseyi:Abiodun has the full structure, you guys are amateurs in politics, I told you people over 3 months ago that abiodun is with osinbajo you keep arguing, Ogun apc is firmly with Abiodun now, because he defeated amosun and others to it, He will not give yayi that senate ticket he is seeking, it will go to GNI. |
Starhearts:I think you copied that guy MND44 or what is his name, one of the moderators. PYO will win with landslide, you can it to the bank. |
Hmm, this is the way to go Abiodun, one of the decided governors for Osinbajo, more to come stay tuned! I promised you guys before now, that there will be many more surprises and jokers. |
Nigerialabalaba:Daniel and many of them were there. |
![]() Rooomage:Here we go again! My brother if you are really exposed like you claim, you will not tell me is a form of betrayal to deny someone right to vote or to be voted for, which is what Osinbajo is exercising. I am not a kid either and I have been an active participant in politics for a long time now, I am an active member of LREM here, there is a thread I opened for that and the election that just passed here in france, and also I participate in nigeria political process as well, I have my voter's card and do come home to vote in naija as well, i am not a religious bigot, Infact my favourite politician is Fashola, but he is not contesting, my brother that you helped me to secure a job doesn't mean I should not aim higher in the company, so what is Osinbajo's offence? You guys have to face issues and leave all these betray betray thing. |
Nigerialabalaba:Gaya is more important than Ganduje in the eyes of buhari and party hierarchy, because ganduje has no integrity and good reputation any longer, kano has 3 Senators 2 are for PYO and the last one which is shekarau is for PYO too but I don't like to mention him because he is still trying to get back the party in court. |
Rooomage:That is the problem with you people, maybe it's lack of exposure, I don't know or its general problem among we Nigerians, imagine saying who is Osinbajo, let me tell you before osinbajo was appointed as commissioner, he was already a SAN and a professor, moreover, its not when you start politics that matters but the impact you can make, let me give you an example, emmanuel Macron was appointed as a special adviser and later a minister by francois Hollande, Macron went to form his party a new party for that matter, and he won the election just under three years as minister and special adviser, he didn't even had the pedigree of osinbajo, so what are you talking about, Nigerians need to stop glorifying humans and focus more of the capacity of an individual. For your question about first refusal and which country practise it, I will tell you about france because this is where I live, a prime minister is like the vice president, and every prime minister is given a priveledged to contest for the presidency, if he so wishes as long as his loyal to the party and have no problem with the president, to name few Jacque chirac, Manuel Valls, francois fillon etc, I am not a local politician that worship men instead of ideas. Thank you |
Rooomage:I don't like talking about personalities, I only like PYO because I'm convinced he wil perform. It is not a law, it is principle when it comes to politics, you can do more research about , right of first refusal! Thanks |
ZombieSlaughter:Osinbajo is not Ambode and different situation. |
ZombieSlaughter:Forget it, if you are referring to Asiwaju and PYO, trust me they will sort out their selves at the right time, just keep watching. |
princdebola201:My brother I understand you very well that no one can have 100% of delegates in most of the states, but you see some guys here are so funny, you can imagine someone telling me the VP will not even have any state in the South west, that he has no base, I was telling them that this guy call osinbajo has done his home work, that they will start seeing it soon, and it has started, wait till when he campaigns in other regions you will all understand what I have been saying. |
helinues:You asked a question, that who is in competition with the vp? And I told you, all the aspirants are in competition with him, I also expressed what I feel is normal which is that the VP has the right of first refusal, meaning the party should ask him first if he is interested or not, because that is the practise all over the world, especially with loyal deputies. Thank you |
helinues:All the aspirants, because they refused to understand that he has right of first refusal been the present VP. |
I keep telling them, they keep arguing, one down many to go, in my 10 decided governors for osinbajo and 5 swings governors, with many states without apc governors for him as well. Just watch out! |
https://dailytrust.com/2023-presidency-abiodun-finally-picks-osinbajo-over-tinubu 2023 Presidency: Abiodun Finally Picks Osinbajo Over Tinubu Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, on Tuesday, declared that the state would support Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential bid.... By Peter Moses Tue, 26 Apr 2022 17:13:13 GMT Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, on Tuesday, declared that the state would support Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential bid. Our correspondent reliably gathered that Abiodun had been in dilemma over who to support between Osinbajo and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Insiders said the duo expect loyalty and support from the governor who is now in dilemma. Also, his cabinet members are divided as some are backing Osinbajo’s bid while others are in firm support of Tinubu. A source close to the cabinet, however, said Abiodun has not given directive to his aides on who to support between Tinubu and Osinbajo. But Abiodun on Tuesday said Ogun would back Osinbajo, an indigene of the state from Ikenne in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state. He said the support would enable him continue with some of the “laudable projects” of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. Speaking at a stakeholders meeting with the VP and held at the Akarigbo Palace Sagamu, the Alake Palace in Abeokuta and the Presidential Lodge, Ibara, Abeokuta, as well as the Palace of Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Abiodun said Osinbajo in the last seven years, has contributed to the many successes recorded by the federal government, noting “he is eminently qualified to lead the country”. “The Vice President present here is home coming. We are pleased with his decision to run for the office of the president. He is competent and committed to lead the country in a higher capacity.” “Your steadfastness, integrity and character are all well known. You are serving this country and the president meritoriously for the last seven years as the vice president. We have no doubt that you will do well as the president and we will support you”, Abiodun stated. The governor, who extolled the VP’s academic exploit, recalled how he stood behind his gubernatorial election and described him as a man who is interested in fairness, justice, equity and the Rule of Law. In his speech, the VP said he was not in the state to campaign, but to inform his people of his intention to run for the office of the president. Osinbajo said he consulted widely across all sections of the society, including with President Muhammadu Buhari, before he threw his hat into the ring. Recounting his contributions to the present federal government, Osinbajo said he was actively involved in the judiciary reforms and its repositioning to work optimally, and ensure that judges are adequately enumerated. He said his working with President Buhari exposed him to governance at the highest level and placed him in a position to tackle serious issues concerning economy, security, among others. “The Vice President position is an opportunity to serve and I have served with utmost loyalty. I put everything into my work. I am a candidate who will hit the ground running when I am elected. “I have the requisite knowledge to do the job and building on what others have put in place. My presidency will bring peace, unity and development to the country”, the VP said. “After all I have learnt if called upon to serve the nation, should I say No? I have decided that I will run for the office. I have sworn an oath to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is an oath to our people, our children and the future of Nigeria. I owe nobody else any allegiance outside the oath”, he added. Osinbajo, however, commended Abiodun-led administration for the giant strides it has recorded in the last three years, expressing the hope that his quest to lead the country would be fruitful. The and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, in his remarks, posited that the vice president was competent with the required qualification to lead the nation, observing that his performance as the acting president is there for all to see. Speaking on the ambition of the Vice President, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, attested to the competence of Osinbajo, saying: “the vice president has paid his dues and is eminently qualified to succeed as President. “I want to pray that you will come back to this Palace as a President and Nigeria will be gain tremendously under your watch”, Alake said. |
Indispensable85:Don't worry, I will get your number and invite you over when I come to naija and seize that phone that you chat wiv on nairaland, and ask you to show respect with the phone here after PYO wins. |
Indispensable85:Didn't you get the statement from Abiodun? He said they were the one working behind, that's just the meaning, as for asiwaju didn't you notice I don't condemn asiwaju, and I never said he has no crowd, but one fact is set today, Abiodun is for osinbajo, final. |
Indispensable85:He has visited alraedy, dapo sent his deputy to follow him,I will attach the statement from Dapo this afternoon, this is what I have been saying that the VP has done his home work but people were underating him it is manifesting now. "We give God the glory. This is a project that has succeeded already. Thanks to everyone who behind the scene, stood by the Vp and motivated him to get involved in this race. God bless us all. Gov Dapo Abiodun #PYO2023 |
fyneguy:He never endorsed Amaechi don't mistake courtesy visit to the governor's office to an endorsement, go and see the live video he said it with his mouth in akarigbo's Palace. |
He had finished with the visit to akarigbo, and there was a big endorsement from governor Abiodun, he came out with full chest for Osinbajo, omo oko ni ee dapo. |
This is good, this has been the tradition from buhari to asiwaju every year, but the guests of this year own, are full of Asiwaju and Osinbajo associates, because is political season, baba kuku do am 50 50, God no go vex. Really enjoying the full endorsement from Dapo Abiodun to Osinbajo today, he came out with full chest, omo oko ni ee dapo. |
Indispensable85:Cool, but the era of consultation is over, now is the time for endorsement, Abiodun did well by fronting osinbajo in ogun today, now the doubting Thomases about Abiodun allegiance to the VP wil be dissapointed, I told them they argued, I am watching it live, my brother see full support from the akaarigbo to all the political leaders there. I want people to campaign for their choices without blackmailing and intimidation, it will not work. |
Osinbajo in ogun state, with the full support of Dapo Abiodun and all other political leaders in ogun endorsing PYO, the political jambites here were arguing with me about Abiodun and ogun state, for your own information dapo has never followed Tinubu to any campaign rally or show in ogun state ever since tinubu declared, the best he did was to send his deputy to follow him, put that into record. Thanks |
Indispensable85:Lolz, you are so happy that asiwaju was invited this has been the custom with buhari and party leaders during Ramadan every year naw, and let me remind you, this is the first time he will be inviting professor osunbor and many osinbajo supporters , that should tell you something, anyway I am enjoying PYO visit to ogun with full support of Gov abiodun at the moment, its live online. |
It's only children and naive people will think a seating VP of a country has no right of first refusal, this is the practise all over the world, how can someone comprehend it that asiwaju wanted osinbajo not to contest in the first place? For me is Asiwaju that betrayed someone that has been loyal to him for like 7 years now, just imagine saraki or other ambitious politicians in osinbajo's shoes, do you think, you will still be hearing Tinubu in the South West and nigeria in general? We know the cases of the governors, of kano, anambra, akwa ibom and almost all the states that their predecessors facilitated their winning, they all betrayed their benefactors not even one year after their resumption in some cases, so where did osinbajo betray Tinubu, just because he wants to exercise his right as a nigerian,it sounds so childish to my hearing, let's go the primary and whoever wins should be supported. That's all |
haslaw:This is what, I'm talking about, anger, frustration, hallmark of a follow follow without direction in you. Anyway do well not to quote me again because I respond to only civilised people not agberos. |
You have done well Mr VP, just continue to push harder you are almost there. |
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo accompanied by Governor of Ondo State at the palace of His Royal Highness Deji of Akure, Ondo State ..... |
MrBrownJay1:His main promise was to bring down unemoloyment rate, which was around 10% to around 7% which he did, the reason francois Hollande didn't bother to go for second term was because of unemployment rate, Melenchon got some good programmes but with other liabilities just like le pen, Melenchon is far left and le pen far right, and the French are not ready for their drama for now, anyway the country is divided into three with this election, so Macron need to work on this. Vous habitez où exactement?moi j'habite dans le département du Doubs. |
