Politics › Re: The Hoax Of Democracy by mikolo80: 5:50pm On Nov 06, 2016 |
nuti: It is gradually becoming clear that the system of one man one vote is a big scam and eventually the elected(selected) people only fulfills their own dreams and pockets(African democracies leads the chart) but don't expect these elected people to change the status quo because those systems (elections)that got them their positions has rewarded them handsomely.(Nigerian senate comes to mind). In the past 200 years we see over time how democratic-led governments has repeatedly failed to reach the utopian state( USA, UK, France) comes to mind. All these governments achieved was to establish a system of keeping the populace in an everlasting cycle of "work-eat-die" continuum. Consequently, people are beginning to look to the Singaporean example of Autocratic-One State rule that has catapulted countries from abject poverty to truly prosperous in less than 20 years(China comes to mind of course). But how do we solve this problem in Nigeria where multi-ethnicity, religious discrimination and lack of cohesion is rife?
...written by a concerned Nigerian. you start from local govt and scale up to state, then region and hopefully they don't give you awolowo treatment. Or just develop your region and when the other regions are tired they will beg you to come and fix their own for them |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors And Thier Role In This Recession by mikolo80: 5:15pm On Nov 06, 2016 |
Tallesty1: Tithing isn't compulsory for modern day Christians. Same way killing witches, enemies and stoning sinners are in the bible.
And just so you know, Tithe was a requirement of the Law in which the Israelites were to give 10 percent of the crops they grew and the livestock they raised to the tabernacle.
How many churches accept crops and animals as tithe?
That should tell you something.
Today's Christian are under grace not law.
Secondly, Old Testament Law required multiple tithes— one for the Levites, one for the use of the temple and the feasts, and one for the poor of the land—which would have pushed the total to around 23.3 percent. So if you only pay 10% then you're stealing 13% from God.
yes its in the bible.
New generation Christians give as they can. There's no fixed percentages and although its important, its no compulsory.
New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of income a person should set aside, but only says gifts should be “in keeping with income” (1 Corinthians 16:2)
Each man is taught to give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” ( 2 Corinthians 9:7).
I don't care if you're a pastor or a potential pastor. It's wrong to collect tithes meant for priest who were not allowed to own properties and still go ahead to build houses, lands, private jets and schools.
God will judge. but the pastors own properties and business today. If we say everyone should come back to Catholic Church everyone go begin de vex |

Toks2008: In my world, being "rich" is relative and i also believe that any responsible and reasonable lady will understand the need to work hard and become financially independent so that she can be with a man for the right reasons and will not really make it a do or die affair to be with a rich guy but with one who has the zeal and drive to make wealth regardless of his present financial status hence, any lady who has made it a must to marry a rich guy is a hopeless leech even if she is also rich..Believe it or not,in this present day,a lady who is not also financially independent has no business going into marriage just to be a liability to the man.
Nevertheless, there are still some ladies who are hell bent on marrying a "rich" guy and would make it a do or die affair so i would like to ask such ladies this very innocuous question.
What if you marry a rich guy and he becomes very broke after marriage, would you leave or stay with him? reply to the meme Na lie rich women don't want loyalty they want roommate maga |
