Politics › Re: Nobody Is Fighting For The Masses Since Fela And Gani Passed Away by mikolo80: 3:15am On Oct 22, 2016 |
Orikinla: [b]Nobody is Fighting for the Masses Since Fela and Gani Passed Away[b]
Nobody is fighting for the welfare of Nigerian masses since their human rights champions and heroes Fela Kuti, (15 October 1938 – 2 August 1997) the legendary King of Afrobeat music and Gani Fawehinmi,, (22 April 1938 – 5 September 2009), Senior Advocate of the Masses passed away. Their survivors and successors have failed to speak out against the violations of the rights of the suffering poor masses who live at the mercy of the greedy and wicked oppressors in the corridors of power from Lagos to Abuja and from the Niger Delta to Lake Chad.
The predators in political power use the poor masses as their expendable pawns. They share the national cake and leave the leftovers for the poor masses to scramble for the crumbs. In fact, they spend more money every month to feed their security dogs than the starvation wages they pay the poor masses as salaries. They deliberately oppress and underpay the poor masses so that they will be deprived of basic provisions and suffer terrible indignities in horrible living conditions of their slums. More than 10 million underprivileged children of the poor masses are out school of which more than 6 million of them are girls who are often used as housemaids by the middle class and upper class families of the ruling class who control the political parties. Without good education, the children of the poor masses become servants of the ruling class employed as house servants, drivers, gardeners, messengers, sex slaves and guards in the mansions and palaces of the ruling class.
Nobody cries out against the injustices in the country. Even the clerics of the Christian churches and Islamic mosques celebrate the millionaires and billionaires of the ruling class who give them millions of naira as offerings and tithes to pray and pacify the poor masses to keep on hoping, praying and waiting for a better tomorrow. They lie to the poor masses to keep on blaming Satan and demons for their poverty and wait for the miracles of the divine interventions of Almighty God to deliver them.
The so called human rights activists in the country have become dumb, because they have compromised their cardinal principles; kissing the butts of their rich benefactors and licking their fingers dripping with milk and honey supplied by dons of the ruling class who have stuffed their mouths with large sums of money to shut them up. "Bros, if you can't beat them, join them o," they said. So, they have joined them in sharing the loot of their ill-gotten riches.
If only the fearless Fela and daring Gani were still here, echoes of protest songs against injustice and oppression would be heard aloud on the street and public protests against the deprivations of the poor masses would be going on in Lagos city. But they have left without seeing the promise land of their Nigerian Dream. The poor masses are broken and forsaken, waiting for the emergence of another Fela and Gani as they also wait on the Lord God for a political Messiah or the return of the heavenly Messiah Jesus Christ to put an end to the evil reign of the greedy and wicked oppressors in Nigeria. Let us pray.

Diddyydiva: What manner of foolery is this?
So it is difficult for a black woman to get married in Africa...
What fallacy..!!! Do you mean black men marry cars and fishes here in Africa.
What's wrong with a woman earning more than her husband? What's wrong with a woman being more educated than her partner.
Have you seen interracialdatingsite? That will prove you assumption wrong that white men don't find black women attractive. and when i say black women not talking about those in Africa alone but abroad too.

seunmsg: Go and read the OP again and stop making illogical comments. MTN has been transferring the money since 2006 and the previous PDP governments did nothing about it. In fact, officials of the past regimes collaborated with them to perpetrate this scam against the Nigerian people. We should commend the present government for bringing this out in its bid to rid the country of all sorts of corruption instead of calling the war on corruption a moronic war.
Going forward, MTN should be forced to enlist on the Nigerian stock exchange. By so doing, management will be more diffuse and they will have to make more public disclosure of their financial statements. Regulators and interested members of the public will also be able to monitor them more effectively on issues like capital flight. how would you like it if you were forced to sell your business by fire by force. BossKratos: Even though it is a good development..it would be fair that the following commissions are also approved to ensure fairness in the governments quest to develop or improve on the infrastructure of other regions in the country.
1: A niger delta clean up supervisory commission. Which would act as a buffer between the oil companies, the communities, the nddc and the executive etc. to ensure that the job gets done and swift penalties are meted out to defaulters.
2: An south eastern infrastructural development commission which would help in solving the problems associated with erosion and developing critical road and rail infrastructure that the region has been deprived of for so long.
3: A middle belt security commission whose sole remit shall be to deal with the menace of fulani herdsmen, cattle rustlers as well as the constant security challenges faced by many communities in such states.
Let the government stop acting as if the north alone is its priority and as if other regions have no axes to grind. Let there be justice and fairness in its policy development because "without justice there can't be peace." why are you talking like a learner The north is the priority Other regions have zero axe to grind |

Sanchez01: This is indeed funny. I don't remember buying any super glue with a guarantee before. So why should Nigerian made glues put a guarantee on it? Is it really about the guarantee or our unconscious fear that we produce are fakes that wouldn't stand the test of time. guarantee is a sweetener when you're coming from behind Hyundai guarantee for 5 years where Honda and Toyota do for 3 If you produce fake you will soon be customerless. |
Culture › Re: My Made In Naija Experience: Our Skepticism, Our Hypocrisy by mikolo80: 10:37pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
onyekaegbo: My brother, you're quite right. If they can assure us then we just 'might' try...
Oga Sanchez, thank God you created this topic. The truth is, as a producing nation, I believe we're not there yet, not even ready sef. Something happened to my recently on two different occasions. Unfortunately, I'm going to mention names and be blunt.
I bought a carton of Dangote noodles about five months ago. Not like I liked it though, but I was hell bent on encouraging the Naira. I carried myself to the market to get a carton. Initially I found nothing suspicious until about twenty noodles had left the carton . And then my woes began... Every noodle I cooked afterwards was incomplete. Noodles, present, seasonings, absent. It happened to well over 10 noodles. I sent the company a mail stating my displeasure and giving details of what happened, for where? Maybe they'll respond tomorrow, don't know about today sha. I sent two different mails and none was acknowledged. Nigerian made oo
After that, I bought Tummy Tummy (Sea Food, 120g), hoping Dangote had been done away with for good. For where? This one was even worse. From the very first few sitting at the top of the carton to the middle, there were no seasonings in all, I swear down! I started thinking to myself, (so this Anambra noodles too wan do me shege ) Instead of sending a mail. I sent a four paged message to the numbers on the wrapper of the Noodles. About several hours later, someone called, an elderly man called, apologized and said it must be a machine error, blah blah blah... I wasn't asked to pay for a machine error riddled noodles but a full carton, so why the excuse? Trust me, that was never the end, I discovered that well over 15 noodles were without seasonings (in the entire carton).
The moral of my story: I'm not saying that foreign products don't have issues as this but it is not so great to this extent. Dangote and Tummy Tummy, I believe, are Nigerian made noodles owned by Nigerians. We're clearly not ready. I don't see myself sticking out my neck for their products. you see lack of quality control ba And besides we still import the wheat flour used to make the pasta We need to start farming and processing the wheat ourselves But like you. Said We need to get our sht together |
