If you listen you can teach. Listening and knowledge must not be separate. Capitalism, Communism and Socialism are European terms.
their terms
But the concepts are universal
Either work for yourself (capitalism) or for the group (socialism communism)

People work more efficiently for themselves to get rewards
Few people work in a group Cos they are penalised for working

Stop calling collective economy socialism. A self control and powerful society doesn't encourage a free meal such as socialism. An art and craft economcy is no welfare state.
it's either socialism or capitalism or slavery choose one
Arts and crafts is capitalism

Please explain

I love nice things. Trust me, Capitalism, Communism and Socialism are Whitemen's terms.
Their terms
But reality whatever you call them
Africa is suffering economically because you have adopted what doesn't fit you.
Agreed for democracy
But capitalism is capitalis
Socialism is socialism

You purchase their old clothes instead of making your own, which is way cheaper.
Due to socialism

All those clothes are used by other humans who did God knows what while wearing them, its negative energy. Economics is about energy distribution simply put.
Agreed
I live in a Capitalist society and we have poor people here in abundance.
Mostly their fault

Reconstructing an ancient African trade economy where no one would be without food and a skill to earn money. Businessmen will still get rich, in fact even more richer. grin

PoliticsRe: 5 Ways Igbos Believe Buhari Has Punished Them For Not Voting Him by mikolo80: 12:17am On Dec 22, 2017
ajoguegbe:
So if you interview most Igbos, they actually believe these things happen because they are the 5%
1. In Appointments.
Most political appointment by Buhari and his APC government has been concentrated on the North. Even after a public condemnation where they released names of "all' their appointments to prove no section is being marginalized. A counter investigation showed that they hid some names in their list
no law was broken
They didn't support they don't deserve
They do have their ministers according to constitution
Views jury whining cos they didn't get 'juicy' posts where Tey can loot not actually fix anything
2. In Victimization
Igbos believe Buhari is using the tools of government like the army and EFCC to victimize their people. Reno Omokiri captured it well when he said EFCC could not arrest maina and co but were very swift in arresting Innoson MD same way they arrested Ifeanyi Uba. Another area that comes to mind is the Arewa vs Ipob issue, Some Arewa Youths called for genocide and no arrest was made even after El rufai ordered their arrest but the military invaded nnamdi Kanus house for asking for seccession. Fulani herds men have murdered thousands but are not declared terrorist instead a special fund will be allocated to fight them but IPOB never killed anyone but were declared terrorists
Did they commit the offence or not
They weren't victimised at random
They shouldn't disturb govt when they know they have skeletons

3. In Favoritism
Since Buhari came to power all efforts has been concentrated in the North. I think it was the World Bank president or so that said Buhari asked him to focus all development effort on the North East. Buhari has also wasted billions looking for oil in the North and recently demanded for 1 Billion dollars to fight Boko Haram-all northern problem. Imagine what half that amount would do to empower entrepreneurs in the South
Same with point 1
Only ministerial and civil service require federal character

4. In Commerce
Under Buhari many imported goods are banned under the pretext to promote locally made goods. Importation in Nigeria is done mainly by the Igbos. Also due to the dollar issues many Nigerians studying abroad could no longer afford the fees neither did the federal government come to their aid.
Why can't they invest in manufacturing like dangote instead of exporting our nation's birthright for mess of dollars
5. In almost every opportunity
It seems to most Igbos that Buhari uses every means to punish them. Last December 2016 there was fuel scarcity, this December 2017 another major scarcity. This is a period most Igbos travel to the east for Christmas. All these moves are always hidden under one reason or the other
If they like their village so much they should stay there
What stops them from importingfuel and selling at loss abi fuel companies in east are northerners?

Do you think there are other areas not covered? Share your views

KingSango:
Capitalism and Socialism work for Northern imperialist nations that require imports to supplement their economies.
normal
This is would be America and NATO nations, who imported slaves and natural resources from Africa. Almost every valuable natural resources known to man can be found in abundance in Africa. By Africa adopting a capitalist economy it is eating itself, literally. How you Africa is importing any product from China or anywhere else. This is how come your Naira is hyperinflated compared to American and Chinese currencies. This is what I mean by eating itself. You are literally just paying for products whose natural resources come from Africa in the first place. grin

All Economy Theory is superficial and an economy can be based purely upon peanuts as currency. grin Might not work out long but you get the picture.
I assume you're a practising economist
but empirical evidence shows that capitalism create wealth while socialism simply destroys it
Arts and crafts economies are what the ancient West Africans had not Capitalism. Food was never a concern in ancient kingdoms because many crowns had their own people farming the land. Such as Bunyoro Kitara, an Empire in East Africa had government farms. I do believe that Oyo still has government farms. Last I checked Oyo Empire in Oyo Town had such farms and the state of Oyo has state farming. Most ancient African kingdoms that prospered greatly used food for currency. This way their gold was stored up. If Nigerians adopted food for currency in its 36 states that would give ordinary Nigerians a chance to save their Naira and buy the arts and crafts, which would create livelihoods for all its citizenry. grin This is my plan but I can't get into details online because its apart of a proposal.

Ase
we are not farming
farmers getting old and very inefficient due to tiny acreages with no tractors

politics the game continues
Arts and Crafts aren't limited to entertainment.
yes it is

Besides, I have devised an economic system that incorporates everything in the society not just farming and factories.
let's hear it

Farming and factories have their limitations.
every man made thing has limitations
When you increase food production fuel prices will go up.
so does efficiency
nothing goes for nothing
we need tractors fertiliser and irrigation
but mostly tractors

Farming is hardwork and factory well that's hardwork too! grin
poverty is harder work
Nigeria is a breadbasket so making money in agriculture is very profitable.
so is America
but it's better we produce what we consume to create jobs directly and indirectly

Nigeria has a lot of natural resources so factories can be very profitable.
even if we didn't we should still import #1 so we can add #10 value instead of importing the whole #11
But instead of creating jobs, how about businesses and livilihoods, such as arts and crafts. Arts and Crafts is more of the Yoruba and Benin cultures.

There is nothing bad in having several ethnic groups in a country, but when it is excessive, then that is when it become a problem. Like they say, too much of everything is bad.
For a ethnically diverse country to thrive, there must be just one single majority ethnic group in it.

Excessive ethnic diversity make people unpatriotic.
lie
lots of tribes in yankee

Unpatriotism make people corrupt.
nope
socialism does
Corruption brings underdevelopment
see above

Underdevelopment breeds poverty.
yes... ish

Poverty breeds crime.
correlates
classism breeds jealousy and covetousness hence crime

The root of Nigeria's problem is not bad leadership, but ethnic differences.
it's a lie
it's leadership
when AWO was developing SW it forced the other regions to try to keep up
You can only kill a tree by removing its root.
another lie
you can remove leaves

poison also

The leaders were raised in the same society as you and I.
There is no way tribalism will end in Nigeria .
nope

This country has three major ethnic groups
Each of these group has its own goal, culture, and way of life.
everybody wants good infrastructure and social services no matter the tribe
There is nothing like unity in diversity. It does not make any sense.
visit America
We are not patriotic to Nigeria but to our own ethnic group.
so what
by helping your tribe you help the country, the continent the world
Majority of European countries are split along along ethnic lines for a reason. It is to solve these problems.
so are we
36 states
774 local govt
abi your governor is a Hausa man?

The Scandinavian etynic group like Danish, Icelandic, swedes, Norwegians , and Finns are apart for a reason.
The Italians, French, German cannot be under the same roof. Same for Asian Japanese and Koreans.
Countries don't develop with prayer and fasting.
nope
Countries don't develop by miracle.
yeah they can
but not by ungodly ppl

They develop with the right system.
Have a lovely day cheesy
countries develop with capitalism (entrepreneurs)
that's the only system that works
laziness is worrying us not tribalism

KingSango:
Greetings,

I have told you again and again what is coming. I have warned you and I pray that the APC has been listening. I pray that Buhari's government has been listening. This new tax reform is a weapon disguised a savior of America's flailing economy. What caused America to sway? The Rise of Africa along with the Southeast Pacific, which includes all of Southeast Asia's market where the Chinese have taken over. grin America's huge empire can not survive on rations, that is what tax cuts are, they cut the funds for vital government services while the bills remain the same. In other words, the cost of services or to do business, to re-supply does not reform. grin America is in bad economic shape and so is Europe who Brit just exited from the European Union and is suffering a migrant crisis. The West is crumbling, it can not win a war with North Korea backed militarily by Russia and China. America's massive aircraft carrier fleet is cancelled out by the countless islands and land locations where Russia and Chinese have military airstrips that can launch air raids against America fleets with ease using manless drones with no risk of life loss. Plus the Chinese have been building numerous artificial islands for that very same purpose. The writing on the wall for the Western economy has begun. This is a last ditch effort to deliberately implode their economy as predicted in the Simpson Cartoon which accurately predicted the election of Donald Trump. The Trump-het is blowing loudly for Nigeria to prepare itself, its citizenry and government, traditional and culture leaders must come up with innovative economic systems that would replace the loss of trade and business resulting from economic fall out from America. This is a very serious threat to the economic future of Nigeria who has just recently stabilized itself after border agents like Boko Haram,, whose violence set its society into a spiral, driven out of Nigeria by the Nigerian army. Coming off the heals of a recession Nigeria must adapt gradually to this new event. Believe American tax reform will drastically affect Nigeria in the long run although it seems far away from everyday Nigerian issues its really just takes a huge increase in import prices from America that would put a serious pinch on economic development instituted by the APC and other Nigerian political parties. Time to seriously consider restructuring.
