Not stomach infrastructure regimes..... only competition will force/motivate them to do the right thing. it will never come willingly. why should he stress himself when he can just distribute 10% or less as stomach infrastructure. it's just human psychology. he doesn't need a good economy or country he can afford work-arounds |

holocron: OP has valid points. no he doesn't The British were better rulers - True, and there rule was mainly to their own advantage and impoverished the masses. before nko are you developing your neighbours chudren? There was regular electricity, public water works, good road network; but only in narrow enclaves centered around centers of colonial commerce and government. Millions were deprived of this goodies without any plan to provide them. why provide what you can't sustain at least they wouldn't miss it Not to be forgotten, colonial administration was military dictatorship. It was a military government. That was why it was not so strange for the military to re-take power in 1966, just 6 years from independence.
Whatever be the case, there's no point harping on the past. Colonialism is over and its never coming back. chai you go fear naivete The whites of these days are not even as tough and disciplined as their forefathers and cannot run an empire, hahahahahaha learner what with their decadency and demographic crisis. Rossikki: The British invested in developing Singapore. They did the opposite in Nigeria. Additionally, the 4 or 5 Asian tiger nations were given by the west, unprecedented technology transfer, capital and western market access after WW2, which turned them into economic powerhouses. The west did this after WW2 to create capitalist strongholds in the Pacific as a way of checkmating Soviet communism in the region. The Soviets had just defeated the nazis and were looking to expand their global reach to Asia and beyond. That was when the west decided to create the so called Asian tiger economies we know today. Singapore welcomed them o. nobody will invest with this your caveman Mugabe attitude |

Rossikki: How many people benefited from the so called white quality education? Were your grandparents educated? Mine weren't, and I'm sure I speak for 95% of folks here. How many engineering or technical schools did they establish? Zero? Fact is only a very tiny handful of people - just enough to keep the colonial administration running - were educated. And that was to secondary level since they built no universities. You call THAT better than the current situation? You are clearly suffering from deepest colonial mentality. so you believe in producing graduates with nowhere to work abi. no wonder Nigeria is the way it' is with ppl like you in charge. with your fake half education |

Suprnov3r: There was never any doubt that the next woman to be appointed Minister of Finance after Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala would have to fill some big shoes. More impressive than Okonjo-Iweala’s resume, was her performance as Minister of Finance, to the extent that some of her policies have been appropriated by the Buhari administration as part of their own achievements.
Well no matter; what is more urgent is why Adeosun after two years in her exalted position is still unable to craft sound economic policies or worse, refrain from ridiculous statements that portray her as a Ministerial intern rather than a Minister of Finance.
Or how else can one explain her latest announcement at the PWC’s Business School last week that the Federal Government had decided to tax some beggars whom according to her were earning millions? (dailypost.ng).
How they plan to determine the ‘rich beggars’ from the ‘poor beggars’ is beyond me but what is truly amazing is that a graduate of the University of East London, who knows very well what the welfare system is all about in developed economies, can make such pronouncements.
Nigeria is presently the only country showing up on Google’s search engine as a country where beggars will be taxed
.....
http://coseghale..com.ng/2017/07/why-is-kemi-adeosun-still-finance.html?m=1 what did puff puff head craft. where in the world does finance minister craft policy. they account for money not pretend to be economists when they are barely file pushers |
