The Nigerian Facebook community has been buzzing over the last few hours as a teenager attempts to break the internet by posting a picture of her kissing her boyfriend on Facebook.

Reasons for the debate are because many are of the opinion that the girl in question is too young to have a boyfriend, not to even go as far as posting intimate pictures on social media.

I am a British female who lives in UK but has Nigerian parents (Igbo). My heart longs to see corruption come to end in Nigeria and poverty eradicated. I would love to be a part of making this change. I am wondering how realistic it is for a British person who was born and raised in UK and has only been to Nigeria twice, to get involved in Nigerian politics and even potentially become a state governor and maybe even president.

Are there also any other ways for a British person to influence change in Nigeria?
Also, I would like to know what people in Nigeria are doing to stop corruption and improve poverty? For example holding protests and campaigns?

join a party .they have branches in the UK. or come home regularly for meetings. then hope/scheme for an appointment. or as a contractor/consultant.then contest for elective office. all the while empowering your ppl with fish or fishing training

that a party with tinubu at its head and Saraki as a member will turn saints overnight. don't be naive. all we are saying is that Jonathan and PDP had to go. now incumbency and Federal night have been demystified. everyone knows now that any unserious party will lose, just look at apc in osun bye election. it will force both parties to sit up. competition is all we're welcoming. without it we will just have dictators. democracy is slow, that is why the white man advocates it for his enemies or rivals to slow their development down but we're getting there.better both parties swap instead of one party dominating with no check in sight. absolute power corrupts absolutely. it's a pity PDP are not able to mount proper opposition
