Ivory Coast, Egypt and Zambia suffered damaging defeats in the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifiers on Wednesday night. The Elephants were put to the sword by Cameroon thanks to two goals each from Clinton Njie and Vincent Aboubakar as the Indomitable Lions ran out 4-1 victors. Yaye Toure tapped in a consolation goal for the visitors. Ivory Coast are now third in Group D with three points, while Cameroon are top on six points after winning their first two matches. Things are not going much better for seven-time Nations Cup winners Egypt. The Pharaohs lost 1-0 at home to Tunisia courtesy of Fakhreddine Ben Youssef's 14th-minute goal. Egypt are bottom of Group G on zero points, while Senegal and Tunisia both have six points after the former beat Botswana 2-0 on Wednesday. Zambia suffered the third shock result of the evening, going down 2-1 to Cape Verde Islands on their artificial home turf. Jacob Mulenga scored for Chipolopolo but goals from Ze Luis and Heldon ensured Cape Verde now top Group F with six points, while Zambia remain on one point. Wednesday's Nations Cup results: GROUP A South Africa 0-0 Nigeria Congo 2-0 Sudan GROUP B Malawi 3-2 Ethiopia Algeria 1-0 Mali GROUP C Angola 0-3 Burkina Faso Lesotho 1-1 Gabon GROUP D Sierra Leone 0-2 DR Congo Cameroon 4-1 Ivory Coast GROUP E Uganda 2-0 Guinea Togo 2-3 Ghana GROUP F Mozambique 1-1 Niger Cape Verde 2-1 Zambia GROUP G Botswana 0-2 Senegal Egypt 0-1 Tunisia http://www.kickoff.com/news/48519/big-boys-lose-2015-african-nations-cup-qualifiers |
nice nice nice. our kwantiri is important too |
Richhommie: 10. The border between the rich and poor - Modern civilizations have made such an impact on the globe that our political borders are visibly discernible from hundreds of miles in the air. NASA astronaut John Grunsfeld has flown on a space shuttle five times during his career. He explained that wealthy countries are typically lined in green, while poorer countries with less access to water are a shocking brown color. Also, nations that don’t have as much widespread electricity look dim at night and stand in stark contrast to neighboring nations whose bright cities light up the sky. This is especially evident between the borders of North and South Korea. At night, South Korea is lit up like any modern area while North Korea is so dark it virtually disappears. In the picture above, we see South Korea illuminated vibrantly in the bottom right corner (Seoul is the brightest spot) while China is equally dazzling on the other side of the photo. But where’s North Korea? No, it didn’t sink into the ocean; it’s actually the black mass between the lights of South Korea and China. (Also note the curvy, orange border of the DMZ.) The only visible illumination in that area is the capital city, Pyongyang. While North Korea certainly isn’t guilty of light pollution, this image reveals how much of the country is likely living without basic electricity and all that comes with it: heat in the winter, refrigeration, and adequate hospitals.so no be only us dey suffer from light and basic amenities, |
