openmine: We lose in pre season, every one will distance himself and say we lost because we took the match unserious. But we win against Liepzig in pre season we celebrate it, nobody talks about unseriousness and pre season . If scorelines in pre season don't matter why were you celebrating Nunez's hatrick? I'm not digressing but I'm starting to doubt the integrity of your grasp on football matters because it's laughable to blame a pre season loss to unseriousness caused by preventing injury. I have said this before, there is no safeguard against injury in football. It is an unavoidable risk because you cannot control it. For instance, let me make it clearer, can you avoid the risk of getting sick? No! Even doctors fall sick! It is an unavoidable risk in life! So is injury an unavoidable risk in football. The only way you can avoid it is to retire from football. because even if you are a bench warmer you can still cop injury in training. Soon you will tell us that we didn't train for the match because we were avoiding injury in training. Diaz will just be running goalwards with the ball, Maguire will hit him with a flying tackle from nowhere! Gbam! Too weeks injury How do you avoid that? I'm not using preseason as a litmus test, until you understand why we lost against Man Utd, you won't understand the angle I'm coming from. |

openmine: Saying that we didn't take the match serious because of fear injuries is laughable. You dey surprise me. Injuries in football is an inherent risk that can not be avoided. Whether you like it or not, you cannot put a safeguard against getting injured because it's a contact sport and you cannot control your opponent's approach to the game. If you are going to play pre season in order to boost your fitness level then you should be ready to face the risk involved. You do that at the expense of getting injured. The only best bet against getting injured is not playing at all, even at that you can still get injured by sitting on the bench. Plus you are even more likely to get injured while playing unseriously than taking the match serious. If not getting injured is that important, let's scrap pre season matches bros |

openmine: My concern was that we took the match unserious and allowed them to beat us. If we had taken the match serious they for no see draw. My ANGER is that we approached the match with unseriousness and got walloped which should not be. I expected some seriousness from us that day. So they didn't beat us because they were magnificent or better than us. Spot the difference. If you don't point a gun to me at close range I won't accept that you have made anything known to me. |

openmine: You dey hype yourself too much That's also how you made it known to me that Mane was very much appreciated at Liverpool and he was paid well above 100k with no concrete evidence. You are trying. I don't take pre season matches serious, that's why I was apathetic when everyone in this thread was celebrating after we beat Liepzig 5 - 0. Even after the 2-2 draw against Fulham no one heard my voice because it's still too early to judge the performance of the team. So you are yet to make anything known to me. |

Minemrys: Because he has more defensively gifted people to cover for him whenever he overlaps. If you play him as a DM he would be useless both defensively and offensively. They will overrun our midfield. Why are you so bent on him playing there? Just like asking Salah to play striker position when he ll score more goals for the team operating from the right. Trent have been phenomenal playing RB for us these past years. See the way he's breaking assist records every season. He's a great asset offensively but defensively he's just average. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 9:12pm On Jul 25, 2022 |
Minemrys: Trent has to be the worst person in Liverpool to ever play DM. His defensive lapses will ensure that we ship in 5 goals every match. It's like you are under estimating the sensitivity of that position. Milner will do a better job than Trent will ever do in that position. Why are so bent on Trent playing there? You don't want us to compete this season or what? Please leave it for the veterans. Disembark from this your postulations bros 1 Like |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by mikuz(m): 3:09pm On Jul 25, 2022 |
Jodera: Chelsea's poor performance was due to unseriousness. Chelsea don't take pre season matches serious. On a very good day, this Arsenal team cannot beat Chelsea by 4 unreplied goals if Chelsea decide to take the match serious. There is no way Chelsea will lose by that margin if they were serious. So since its pre season and it's won't affect the league season proper they decided to not take the match serious, this unseriousness led to poor performance which in turn led to losing massively. There is no way Chelsea who were not serious would beat Arsenal who took the match serious. The best result unserious Chelsea can get against a serious Arsenal is a draw. Nobody should criticize Chelsea's performance because they were not serious with the match. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 12:51pm On Jul 25, 2022 |
Minemrys: Tweaks should be made to improve the team's overall performance and not to diminish it. Trent is the best player in Liverpool for RB position while Fab and Hendo are the best people for DM. There is no need for us to tweak anything as far as I'm concerned bros. |
