Chelseaboy101: So , If I exit from paris airport, they won't stamp me out ?
I thought if I exit from paris , they should give exit stamp..
Then I fly in to another schengen country, they should stamp me in there too.
Wow Those Schengen Airports have a special arrangement that when you are are traveling within the the Schengen zone, you won't see immigration that will stamp you out/in. It will just be like a local travel. Same thing at the other schengen country you are traveling to. You'll arrive at the airport and exit from an area that will not take you to immigration, you are already within the Schengen zone. It is only when your flight will take you out of the schengen zone, that you'll have access to immigration at the airport. In your case, you have only single entry, so once you exit the Schengen zone after an entry, you won't be allowed in again. I once flew from Italy to Germany and was surprised to see a British lady on same flight looking for immigration stand. On arrival in Germany she kept walking about looking for immigration, me I was walking about looking for the exit that will take me to train station, after coming across one another about twice, she finally came over to ask me where the immigration stand was. Lol. I was amused as one would have thought Oyinbos will know these things. I explained and explained that since she came in from Italy, after initially flying into Italy from London, she's already within the Schenghen zone and so won't go through immigration again in Germany. After taking my time to explain, she still was not looking convinced, me I carry my leg waka my own waka. |

gateleo: go to booking.com
Check for hotels with options...free cancelation and no prepayment needed He will need a card for booking.com. Even if it's free cancellation and no prepayment. cantiride2: Please how do you book for hotel reservation without card? Check Radisson Hotels. It seems I once made a reservation without card. Not very sure though, it's been a long time. |

VanuatuWycombe: They have used UPS, DHL etc before around year 2000 to 2003 or so. They switched to VFS. They left VFS and went to TLS.
May be they are switching back to VFS or another provider. Back to VFS. I saw it on TLS website. So they used those courier companies in the past? For actual biometrics registration or just courier of documents? |

santaclaws: I suspect they're outsourcing their visa services to an organization like VFS... Is there a difference between the two? I don't think VFS is any better. Infact, from my interactions with both organisations, I think TLS is better organised. VFS guys are also doing runs with appointments. They messed up that their Lekki place. All of them are just switching between these two organisations. Can't they engage another company asides these TLS and VFS? |
Travel › Re: New Management Takes Over UK Visa Application Centres In Nigeria by Milito: 6:21am On Nov 21, 2024 |
TLS has made enough money. Time for another organisation to chop small.
I hope the new organisation will not be charging extra for applicants in VI, Enugu and PH. That was quite extortionist.
TLS was also using some unethical practices to make more money. Purposely grading out appointment opppurnities and nudging people to pay for flexi appointment. |

davodyguy: The booking reservations people do with airlines, don't you know it gets cancelled by All Airlines after 48 hours of no payment?
Yet applications stay at the embassies awaiting decisions for weeks, airlines will now be waiting till decision is made and not sell to another person? Embassies put the caveat do not pay for flight ticket until you're sure the visa would be granted.
All they want to see is that there's a booking, not that you must pay
Are you a first time traveller? Thanks for keeping me less worried. However, flight and hotel reservation differs. A 'valid' hotel reservation does not necessarily indicate a paid hotel reservation. Flight reservation is not important. Your accommodation plans is quite important, that is why virtually all visa forms request for your accommodation details and not flight. |

davodyguy: Reservation is what you're to do, not confirmed booking.
Hence, they're not going to mail the hotel
Except for other things, you're not going to get refusal based on this booking Really? They do not check if the reservation is valid? |

hunee: Milito, Relax na.
Is this your first time?
Relax.
Pray for success Its actually my 4th Schengen. But I always put a valid accommodation reservation. I assume they always confirm them, or they do not? I'm just concerned of the implications if they decide to confirm and they are told the booking does not exist. |

hunee: Relax. It's just a dummy.
You don't have to pay. Yes, I understand. They didn't even ask me to confirm it, they just totally cancelled it and when I sent an email, they apologised that it's a system error. But I'm just concerned that there'll be no valid accommodation booking for the application. Even if I do another one, I wonder how I can communicate the new details. |

If it is possible to modify or convert tourist visas to study in some Schengen nations while on a visit , then the possibility of this is also very clear. Hallo, Please what do you think i can do? I received email of cancellation of my hotel booking just 2 days after submitting my application. I dont even know how it happened. 🤦🏼♂️ 🤦🏼♂️ |

davodyguy: You need to understand and comprehend what the message is.
Where you live as a resident, paying taxes, have an employment or resident permit of national ID.
If you're a short time visitor, you're not qualified to apply.
Since your mind is made up, you can go ahead and share the experience I'm actually not the person. I just did some search and confirmed the person was right. Though I personally know someone on visit visa to the UK who applied and got the US visa from there. I think you are the one that didn't read to comprehend. The statement has two parts. The first said where you live. The second said you may schedule your interview at a US Embassy/Consulate where you'll be present... |

cucumbar: Can you apply for American visa from Another country when you are just visiting? davodyguy: And you want to apply for visa in another country as a foreign passport holder?
Don't waste money From the below, it'd seem the US will not request for a resident permit like other countries. You should generally schedule an appointment for your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the country where you live. You may schedule your interview at another U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will be present but aware that in some cases it may be more difficult to demostrate your qualifications for a visa outside of the country where you live.

cucumbar: Can you apply for American visa from Another country when you are just visiting? Ideally, one needs a resident permit of a country different from one's country of orign if applying for visa to another country from there. But some few people seem to get away with this. I personally know someone on visit visa to the UK, who applied for a US visa from there and got it. |

galactico579: I don't think is too early. They said there are reasonable doubts I will leave the territory of the member states before the visa expires. And do you think you will be able to properly address their concerns in a better way than what you did before? Its always better to give it some time, except if you have an important info to share, which was omitted from your previous application, and is expected to significantly influence the outcome. |

galactico579: but my finger print was taken on the day of my submission Yeah, but it didn't result into a visa. If you select yes, you'll have to compulsorily provide a visa number, which you do not have since you said you've not gotten their visa before. The question was not properly framed. Probably because they are not native English speakers. A simple insertion of 'successful' will reduce the confusion usually faced at this section. Have your digital fingerprints previously been taken in connection with a previous 'successful' application for a Schengen visa? |

Gd0007: Creating a profile for your son caused a duplicate issue. You should have used your own profile to book his appointment. A single AVATS account can create appointments for others once you have their DS-160. You just need to enter the details.
My suggestion is to delete your son's profile and wait a few days for the system to clear the log from the database. Then restart the process using your own profile. Once you book your appointment, you’ll be able to book your son’s appointment as well.
Note: This is just a personal suggestion to help you move past this issue and is not professional advice.
How can you delete a profile? I've been getting the duplicate applicant issue since Sept for my wife and did not create a profile for her until just recently that I tried it to see if it will enable me schedule appointment for her. |

You should have opportunity for 3 reschedules. Though in my own case, I rescheduled only once and the system is telling me I can only reschedule only one again. The system has eaten one of my reschedule opportunity . I raised a ticket to complain about this, but as usual, nothing was done. It's just there, opened. |

AKAyomide: I submitted my France Schengen visa application yesterday and deep down in my mind I met all the requirements but I didn’t have a passport photograph along to the center. I was charged for that and I snapped a picture but on the point of submitting the passport photograph, only one was accepted from me by the woman who attended to me at the biometric room. Immediately after the situation, I knew deep down that the visa application would be rejected or have a visa refused despite the fact I called the call center to explain things to them and was given the hope that if the application needed additional documentation I would be emailed. For people who are going to submit their applications, kindly have it in the back of your mind that you need to do proper research and stand on what you have researched to avoid being led off by the agent at the submission center! Please do you have any idea if walk in appointment is possible with payment of a fee? |
