For me, yes, but for different individuals and only 1 of the two has an appointment. The 2nd one, that is having this issue has not been able to proceed to the appointment page.

Any attempt to redo the process always bring the duplicate error issue at later stages.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and transcript guys. It really takes a lot of inner strength.

There's nothing to be shameful about, most people usually bag refusal at one time or the other before finally getting it.
Just identify areas of improvement and try again. Most especially how to convince the system and the VO that you have strong home ties that cannot be abandoned. Work/business, family, religious, social, etc. And the travel itinerary must also make sense and follow a consistent pattern with previous travels.

Also, if you are financially stable, you can try an Euro trip before applying again to boost your travel history.

customer service advised me to try the Aventum number. I’m pretty sure I had tried this before, but I gave it another go—and it worked!

I can’t help but feel that someone else might have solved this problem but didn’t share the solution here typical Nigerians especially the older generation ..lol. It’s a shame when people don’t help others, especially when they know the struggle. Anyway, if you’ve been stuck like I was (and I know I wasn’t the only one), try the steps I mentioned and book your appointment. I’m so grateful to God that this finally worked!

I've seen it , it's still persisting, not yet resolved even after raising request tickets like 2 weeks back.

At what stage at the appointment booking steps does it stop?

Avits is definitely overwhelmed with myriad of issues. I doubt they did a proper stress test before rolling out. Or maybe they are using us here as the secondary stress test. Lol

I am on the pending appointment schedule stage(document delivery), and I already filled the necessary details. I saw where it is required of me to choose[b](Choose Pickup Type: Premium Delivery and Choose Pickup Location)[/b], which has been done.

Then proceeding to the Available Date (Consulate Appointment); I found February 3, 2025, but each time I clicked on it ;pops up "SLOT IS READY USED).


Please what does not indicate as per the scheduling a date?

A number of people experienced same thing. We had to give up and went further until we saw available dates that can be chosen.

Probably the system locked those spaces for specific purposes.

Kindly share with the house the month and year with selectable available dates when you finally see them.

You may have to wait for 24hours for your payment to be updated before you'll be able to schedule appoinment except if you paid by card. If you follow earlier discussions, you must have noticed that majority of Naija cards are not yet able to successfully pay on the platform.

Just continue following the instructions, I can no longer upload pics.

Are you trying to book an appointment through the group request?

I got a similar response when I did that.

Use the individual new appointment request. The instruction is to use this request for each person you want to schedule their application through your profile.

If you were using the individual appointment request but still getting that response, possibly your payment is yet to reflect. Wait a while and try later.

Glad to hear that you were able to make the payment for your spouse.

I believe that section where it says 'Bank Deposit Details' is meant for those who physically went to First Bank to make a cash payment and that doesn't apply to you. When I went through the process I had no need to do anything there.

What you should take note of is the Proof of Payment slip. You should have downloaded the pdf when the payment was complete. In the event that you weren't able to do that, then check your email. First Bank will have sent you a copy of the payment receipt. Don't forget, you will need to wait for about 24 hours before you can proceed to book an appointment.

Just in case you are still having this issue below, what you need to do is retrace the steps you took in getting to the part where you choose between card and bank payment. If I remember correctly, up at the top you can click on a link that will take you back to the previous page. If not that, please check some of the other options. But it is definitely do-able. You are not locked to card payment.

Many thanks. I decided to try the EFT payment for my spouse before going back to resolve mine and I was able to successfully pay with the EFT option.

Do I need to indicate the deposit details afterwards? At the section marked on my attached pic?

if yes, please which is the bank deposit slip number?
Is it the entire code under the barcode on the payment receipt? Or just the numerical ones.

I'm actually using an Access bank USD card. This is the card I travel with and use at different parts of the world and it works. Another person has also confirmed he/she was unable to use GTB USD card, with these info, it's easy for people to know those cannot be their options.

You are doing a fantastic work offering free advice here actually. But maybe you can also state the cards that has been confirmed to work, instead of just saying 'card' in that your usual response to payment option.

@naivasha has exaggerated her situation, b/cos she does not have or have not tried all cards that is associated with the 21/22 banks in Nigeria.

1. Some VISA applicant (perhaps like you) want extremely fast way, hence they are hell bent in using Card option, all because you can proceed with your appointment booking almost immediately after payment confirmation.

2. But , do they also realize that "
Card option charges you in USD, and any card that want to do that must be internationally oriented card ? I mean a bank Card that can transact online in major countries. AVITS webpage is well secured , therefore, if your bank card is not up to the task it will keep declining.

3. If you have " FirstBank Naira MasterCard or FCMB Master Classic Card etc " you can try it or go back from 6- pages onwards and read about those who have paid with cards successfully.
Otherwise, choose from other options. Card payment is not the only avenue.

* You will be charged in USD if you use card to pay. Paying with card (if successful) is the fastest , and allows you to continue with your appointment booking , almost immediately after payment confirmation.
However, first bank payment option is kind of most efficient, though might take 24 hrs to approve your payment.

2. You will open AVITS profile for one of them , and book appointment for them separately on the same profile, as there is no more group bookings. The remaining is a game of luck and calculation in using the 3 - Reschedule lifeline to match their dates.

3. You will chose payment option on AVITS first. If you chose bank payment, you will have to print out the payment guide (to be tender physically in the bank) , and proceed with the payment . You have to visit AVITS and chose payment option before proceeding with the payment.

Reason- Lodgment & salary inconsistency

ECO was lazy and didn't review the account statement properly as salary was consistently received from employer with the correct month tag.

I also provided detailed explanation of all the other inflows; I guess the letter was not even looked at as no reference was made to it. Instead, the ECO was giving contradictory reasons.

I wrote a complaint on this application, which was not treated fully till date. Only received email that it may take a longer period to treat the complaint. I should have done a PAP instead of a complaint as evidence abound that the application was not reviewed properly.

2024 Application
Submission date: 2nd April
Biometrics date: 3rd April (flexi)
Application under consideration email: 8th April
TLS Ready for collection email: 22nd April.
Entry clearance granted.

Things done differently this time around
1. After last year's refusal, travelled to France instead and provided this information among other additional travel history.
2. I kept account sparkling clean (only salary).
3. I reduced my spend budget from the £6,000 I used last year to £3,000 this time around. I was able to achieve this by booking a far cheaper hotel.
4. I submitted Tax Clearance and Pension Account Statement, which clearly shows the name of my employer, since my employment was doubted on the previous application.
5. Ensured my employer status is active on CAC.
6. I made the application pretty easy to understand and straightforward by merging similar documents into PDF files and creating a table of content as previously shared on this platform by corpershun.
7. I also uploaded all the documents by myself ensuring they all follow an easily understood pattern and even saved the documents with names that provides the info in it at one glance.

A big thank you to all the folks freely providing information on this platform.

I think its just to wait it out.

Although you can also get the email of the embassy and send them emails especially if your intended travel date is close.

I did that to Spain sometimes ago when my application was delayed. I kept bombarding them with emails intimating them about my approaching travel date.

When it was about a week to my travel date, I started sending them daily emails with my flight booking and event registration showing event date.

They finally issued the visa and released my passport just a day to the travel date, eventually making me miss the event, though I still got the visa.

But then again, are we saying that it is impossible for someone without previous travel history but with sufficient ties back home and funds to get a Spanish visa??

These refusals can be irritating and vexatious especially with the whole stress of gathering documents, the time and money put into the whole thing and even the psychological effects of the waiting period. I empathise with you madam.

It all depends on how the application was structured. No matter the documents and evidence of funds presented, a refusal simply indicates the Visa Officer was not fully convinced about some areas.

It may be lack of clarity and consistency in how those areas were presented or deficiencies on the part of the person that treated the application.

Most likely despite the family pics, visa officer was probably not convinced there's sufficient home ties.

Is the principal applicant on paid or self employment?

Are some of the funds in the company account part of your budget for the trip? If yes was an explanation provided why company funds are going to be used to fund the holiday?

If you do not have the energy for appeal, maybe you should consider going on short holiday to SA, Morocco or Egpyt, and then apply to Spain again after some months.

I recall a couple of friends going on a fully paid and sponsored tour in 2021 got rejected to the surprise of everyone. The tour was fully paid above £9,000. The tour operator was a UK group. The money was lost as there was no option of refund. The visa officers are not moved by availability of funds atimes. Its just another criteria to be ticked on their checklist.

Not my friend but spouse that we applied together. From what I gathered on this thread, if one of the couple is regarded as a frequent traveller, the other may also be accorded same privilege if they apply together for a joint trip.

I'm not sure how accurate any of this is, but these are what has been shared on this thread over time.

We did biometrics on the 21st of Feb and picked up the passports on the 25th of March. Though I observed from the vignette that the visa was actually issued on the 20th of March.

Nothing special. I applied the usual way at TLS, though I used the VIP lounge.

Are you a first timer? From what we have heard on this thread, it seems 1st timer applications takes longer.

TLS is just using unethical practices to make money.

They do not seem busy at all during this period but purposely graded out appointments on their site to nudge people towards paying for either flexi or premium service.

Cool steady Inflow. Once you check balance sheet and see enough money is not being made, the next thing is to tell your Information System Dept to grade out appointments. And there must be a constant stream of desperate/hasty applicants.

mabella123 if you do not have time constraints, then you have to wait and keep on checking weeks from now for a free appointment date.

If you have time constraints, it's better you pay for flexi service. There's no crowd and you'll experience less stress. And if they are uploading for you, the person will be more relaxed and do everything with reduced risk of mistakes.

And if you have done self upload, the process is even faster and you'll spend just a moment there.

The overall turn around time for the entire process may also be less.
