Tambuwa is not a front-runner in this race OP, the battle is between Atiku and Saraki.

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Imo State Governorship Primary Committee, Ahmed Gulak, has alleged that he narrowly escaped being kidnapped in the state.

Gulak said this in an interview with reporters in Abuja, on Tuesday.

He explained that he and other committee members conducted a peaceful exercise which produced Senator Hope Uzodinma as the party’s standard bearer for the 2019 governorship election for Imo State.He said Uzodinma won after securing “He alleged to have left Owerri “under the cover of darkness at about 4:00 A.M.” to make his way to Abuja.

Gulak said, “Myself, Col. Igbanor and Hon Bernard Miko were the only three doing this job, as others disappeared, and we learnt that they were at the Government House.

“So, when we sensed that something was fishy, by 4.00 A.M., we left Owerri after concluding the entry of the results.423,895 votes to defeat eight other aspirants, including Governor Rochas Okorocha’s son in-law, Uche Nwosu.”

Gulak alleged that about nine out of the 12-member committee were “kidnapped,” by persons he described as “agents of the governor” who were led by a team of policemen to the hotel where the committee members were lodged.

WHY THEY MAY IMPEACH AMBODE

If Ambode doesn't pledge his support for whoever Jagaban anoints, they will impeach him.
Why would they be in a hurry to impeach him, you will ask?
Lagos money is required for the prosecution of the elections. Without Lagos money, River State's money will edge out APC candidate in Lagos.

The Governor of Lagos State is the custodian of the much needed Lagos money.
A wounded Ambode will not allow them a Kilometre near Lagos Treasury, so they will need someone else with the vault combinations to prosecute the elections.

That responsibility may fall on the current Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly because the Deputy Governor, a woman, may not have the liver to grant them unfettered access to the Treasury.

They will impeach Ambode, get the Deputy Governor to resign with a promise of Federal appointment and pave the way for the Speaker to run the show.

To prevent Ambode from using another platform to contest against APC, they will release allegations of financial impropriety against him and leave him to clear his name with the EFCC.

sounds sweet but remember u need federal might to run through all these .. and the presidency is on the side of the governor , just one move from Abuja will scatter all these sweet plans

The biggest loser after Buhari's 2019 win will be Tinubu. Buhari will cut him to size. Head or tail, Tinubu is in a mess. As a matter of fact, whether Buhari will win or not (though I think he will win), he doesn't really need Tinubu's support to achieve that. After his victory next year, he will never need Tinubu's support again. He will make sure Tinubu is finished as far as national politics is concerned. If PDP wins, Tinubu will equally be dealt with. Either way, he's a goner!

Unlike Lagos, In Akwa Ibom state there is no political structure outside the party where the Governor is in firm control, but in Lagos, the Mandate Group is more powerful than APC there. They make APC popular prior that they made AD. Today, AD is DEAD.

I don't care about Tinubu, APC, PDP, or whatever. But it seems some of you PDP guys are more concerned about Tinubu fighting Buhari than how to win in 2019. The same wrong focus made PDP lose Ekiti and Osun. Instead of strategizing how to win you are waiting for Buhari to fight Tinubu to give you all an edge. Continue and goodluck.

the only way apc won 2015 was the infighting in pdp prior to the election . This made even members of pdp to work against the incumbent (jonathan) then ,plus the decampees which strengthen the opposition .Nigeria’s politics is all about exploiting your enemies weaknesses . You can’t beat a formidable side especially when that side is in power.
