Stanbic has about 30days window period before you will be able to withdraw without penalty. Does it apply here also?.

PPR ALERT!
Hello all, thanks for all the information you guys drop here, it calmed me down while I was waiting for my visa approval mail.

I applied for study permit on the 31st of October,
Biometrics updated same day ( I have a valid biometrics)
Medicals passed - 18th of November,
PPR letter dropped same 18th of November.

SOWP was also approved for my spouse same day.
We are a family of 4.
Our toddler daughters are American citizens so they didn’t need a visa, but we included proof of funds for a family of 4.
School is resuming in January 2025.

We also have a valid Canadian visit visa that we got last year, we took a trip to Canada in May this year and spent 5 weeks, we came back and started the school application process.
All thanks to God.
I pray for those still waiting to get a positive result soonest 🙏🏼
Chief, pls what is your take?. Is it advisable for my wife who studied pharmacy to apply for masters in the same pharmacy in Canada?. We are a family of 4 and intend to move together, will this be possible?.

JustMellow:
Hello Milliondollarma,

Usually, course-based programs could take up to 2 months or more for admission processing and thesis-based could stay for up to 6 months or less.

Some Master's programs in some schools have an all-session admission window, whilst others consider applicants' applications who apply after the deadline for admission processing for the next session intake.

Review the program's policy and if possible reach out to the admissions office to inquire about the possibility of being considered. In summary, it's not always advised to apply to a program after the admission deadline.

Best Wishes!
Thank you very much.

Insofar as it’s a paid internship, then it should count.

Thank you. We used CRS ranking tool to estimate the possible score after we projected to score high in the IELTS, we got 455. Mine is even worse because of age. I was considering study route for her to do masters but my concern is how do we migrate with two kids of 3 & 1year. If I choose to work, who will take care of the kids. What do you advise pls? Head don full

phabulous88:
Was the one year work experience with the Government as a Pharmacist?

If yes, then you can immigrate as a Pharmacy Assistant through Express Entry, and specifically through the Healthcare targeted draws.
And the good thing is that what you need is 6 months of experience.

Evaluate your credentials using the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) - https://pebc.ca/pharmacists/document-evaluation/applying-for-document-evaluation/#Express

It will be evaluated as a BSc in Pharmacy, and equivalent to a Professional degree.
https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/142#64074188

If you score a minimum of 8,7,7,7 (LRSW) in IELTS, your score should be 444. The last healthcare draw was 431

Also because your worked with the ‘Government’ you’ll most likely get an ADR, which is not an issue.

Still do your research online.

All the best.
Hello, My wife is currently doing her 1yr internship program as an intern pharmacist. Please can we start this process. I'm an Engr and we have two kids. Thanks

question not clear.

If I guess correctly, we have one-year courses in Canada.
Ok thanks.
TravelRe: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by milliondollarma: 2:02pm On Oct 06, 2023
OkukuOne:
Is doable, all needed is little planning.

You can get started by allowing madam to come in for a one-certificate course and you and the kids plan on joining her after like 2 to 3 months. However, if you want all of you to leave at the same time look for additional 10M and draft a very appealing SOP and the restthey say is history.

The Healthcare sector is hot and in demand. Do a proper research.

Good luck!
Do they have one year program for masters or any related programs... I know UK do have one year masters programs

Yes for now, if it’s for POF. Currently the Proof of funds required for a family of 4 is $25,546 cad. But I’ll advise you save in foreign currency because of devaluation of naira.
Also, I hope your budget does not include the expenses you will incur in the process, like cost of ielts, credential evaluation, and other post ITA expenses?
sorry to ask... If both of us follow this process...are we applying separately or one as a dependent after writing the English exam. Remember her course of study is pharmacy and she will need to write PECB

Good prospects for Canada express entry.. kindly read page 1 of this thread to know everything about it.. Both you and your spouse should prepare to write IELTS General and evaluate your education with the appropriate bodies.. you can check your eligibility here first to know your CRS score. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
ok.... So the budget is ok for this process?
