nigerians overate sex. my present fiancee cheated on me 3 times and i took her back. yes there is possiblity that she might cheat again because i am always out of the country. but since i have made up my mind to be back here full time, if that happens again, i will dumb her. the fact that you are the one that told him should make him trust you more, but like women say, men are scums. cheesy
The only reason Bible, I mean God Himself permitted a man to divorce his wife is if she is caught cheating, no other reason, so what are you saying

If you decide to forgive your partner whenever she cheats on you, that's your life and decision to make, don't make it seem normal for men to forgive a cheating partner because it is highly forbidden, the only reason Bible backs a man to divorce!!

I know I'm going to receive a lot of bashing here but I don't mind as I'm looking for solution. I've been following other related threads on the topic and it seems most men don't forgive women that cheated on them.

I cheated on my man. This happened over a year ago when the relationship was going through a rough patch. Actually I didn't set out to cheat and never planned it.

In fact the person it happened with was a person I was confiding in when I was trying to get solutions to my relationship issues.

This person was my married colleague that I joined to work in his car. I thought I could get mature advice by telling him. I was weak and emotionally down and on one of such days of crying to him it happened in his car.

It happened like 3 more times because I go to work with him and come back with him. But I was overcome with guilt (because he was married and for cheating) that I had to stop. But my mistake was that I didn't cut him off completely.

I remained cordial friends with him since he is a colleague and I stopped joining his car. He also moved to another branch. He called occasionally to try his luck but I never gave in. Somehow my man became suspicious by his calls and one thing led to the other and I had to confess.

My man said he has forgiven but can't get back together again. I have been following other threads with similar topics and I saw that men find it very hard to forgive a woman that once cheated.

In this case I'm truly sorry, I have learnt my lessons and I can never make that kind of mistake again. I don't love the man in question, I never wanted anything from him apart from advice from the onset, I stopped on my own, I only remained friends because he was my colleague. I love my man and will do anything to keep him and win his trust back. I'm not a cheat by nature.

I'm heartbroken and filled with guilt and regret. I can't talk to anyone in my circle for fear of condemnation because I'm wrong in every area.

Please is there any hope for me? How do I go about winning him back? How do I convince him that I truly regret my actions? How do I help him heal?
99.99% men don't forgive a cheating partner, forget the lies anybody may tell you.

Cheating is the number one and only sin men find difficult to forgive, especially black men.

sorry, ladies. I know this thread is specifically for you. but, I wanna jonz small cheesy

one thing I have known about our Nigerian women (though, not all) is that, they become mature in the head when they are older (let's say in their very late 20s-early 30s) - relationship-wise, though.

from the few comments I could read in this thread, I think my knowledge about women is still much valid and realistic.

women have two types of dream man in their lives: 1) the dream man they have while they are still young, and 2), the dream man they have when they are ready to settle down. this is when the reality has become obvious to them.

well, everybody does have that (men not excluded).

so, reading from women in this thread, I have learned one or two things more about how women choose their men and make their choices when it comes to being "real" with themselves.

this is why I can't, and won't court with a lady younger than 26yrs old (yeah, in my early 30s), cos I know the stage when a woman start thinking and acting like a real woman and when they think like a 'girl', this is not hard to know anyways.

I also got to know how some women take sexual capacity of their dream men into consideration. wow! this is one of the things already in place, and I pray it matches my future woman's grin grin cos I can't stand a woman who complains about a man being sexually active and strong. this one can cause wahala grin

also, the financial, intelligence and appearance aspects, I thank God I'm not lacking any. but, there is "but" here grin

and the 'but' is: if you are looking for a man who is politically intelligent, pls, I'm not your dream man. cos my hatred for politics is second to none. almost failed government subject in high school but thank God grin. also, not too conversant with foreign affairs, but at least, I know some.

kai! make I stop my jonzing here ooh, before them start throwing bottles at me. grin grin

please, I'm not looking for a wife ooh.
cos I know some people would wanna say that I'm stylishly looking for a woman here.
please, that's not my purpose here.

if you can understand my ziggy, you should know that I'm not one to be your dream man.
so, please, I aint looking for a woman here.

good morning, ladies and gentle men.
There is nothing bad if you decide to try your luck here. There is no law or rule that forbids a man searching for a woman online or on this forum, in fact, if young, single Nigerians were wise enough, this big forum ought to be a place they could mingle, make true friends, find love, meet their life partners because this forum gets huge traffic, which comprises of people from all works of life; rich, poor, influential, and unknown.

Any lady that knows what she wants and not pretentious can find a great partner from this forum, same with guys.

So don't rule out the possibility of meeting a nice lady from here, your future partner maybe reading this thread unknown to you

Hahaha!

Are there really dumb personalities ? Or just people with whom you don't have shared interests.

It's funny how we Nigerians tend to reduce intelligence to being able to "hold conversations on International politics/economics".

What if that is not my Kettle of fish? I become dumb?
What if my interests are in Deep sea exploration or Big data analytics or even recent developments in cancer research ? Can you also have meaningful conversations on those?

Some see International politics/economics as pretentious conjectures, where everyone is an expert — while the subject discussed is completely outside the control of the discussants.

Ego may be what's at play sometimes.
It forces some of us to indulge in interests we don't really care about deeply.

It always seems nice being able to make "contributions" to public discussions on int'l politics but it shouldn't mean those who can't/don't are dumb.

Intelligence is not as effective as people imagine though. I would always prefer resourcefulness.

God help us.
Great comment.

I think some of the revelations on this thread should be good reasons why guys looking for a wife should never marry any lady below 27yrs, because it seems ladies start developing real sense as they mature in age.

The revelations on this thread could also be another reason why guys don't find it difficult to marry; all they want from boyhood is a beautiful girl with home keeping skills, nothing more and the guys know that for them to get that beautiful girl they dream, they need to make money and become financially okay, so they prepare to make themselves the dream man of their future partner by focusing on money making to improve their financial life.

While the ladies only daydream of meeting a super man without preparing themselves to be the dream woman of their dream man, which is why most ladies end up not getting their dream man at the end; their dream man may meet them but will see them as a girl not good enough for him.

Ginaz:
I like piercings. Nipples and nose piercings specifically. It doesn’t mean I’m a bad loose girl and I can categorically tell you I’m an introvert and I hate going out , I rather read a book.

O.p grow up would you? She’s an adult for God’s sake!! In as much you intended to marry her doesn’t give you the right to abuse her fundamental human rights.

If you want to go far in your career in this life, you must resist some worldly cravings you think are fashionable, unless your career is in the showbiz and entertainment.

Also remember, if you truly want to attract and finally settle with a worthy man of honor as an African lady, you must accept some norms when it comes to appearance unless you have made up your mind to either stay single or marry anyhow and maybe not also interested in growing career wise.

Resisting some things you think are mere fashion shows your level of moral standard, and your inability to resist some worldly cravings you see as mere fashion also shows how weak you are as a lady in resisting worldly cravings, including sexual waywardness.

Note; you maybe an introvert now just because you are still under your parents care....maybe your wild nature and side will be zoomed when you become fully financially independent, and by then, you may start seeing sleeping around, clubbing around, gay practice, etc as normal things civilized people do.

You know they start dance from clap cool

Can You Marry A Girl that Pierce Her Nose And Has Multiple Earrings?

Hi guys

You know it has now been a norm for most women and girls to have multiple piercings in their nose and ears.

I really don't know what they see in it.

Well i have dis girlfriend we have been dating for a while and i plan to marry her. She works with a software company and she is very intelligent.

She returned from a trip and i noticed she had 3 sets of earrings in one ear and also had a tiny piercing on her nose.

I was devastated and asked her why she did it and said it means nothing that she just felt like.

Now am thinking of ending the relationship as i regard girls that do such as loose and runz girls.

Am i overreacting or taking the right move
It is not as if these things are bad per se, but avoiding things like nose piercings, navel rings, tattoos, etc, shows your level of maturity and ability to resist worldly cravings and wayward lifestyle amidst global decadence and acceptance of worldly lifestyles as norm...

So a lady that cannot resist these worldly and wayward cravings of today does not automatically mean she is wayward but it shows that she may not be able to resist other wayward cravings of the world as a woman, which includes and not limited to sexual waywardness in the name of civilization and women freedom.

And to the ladies reading this, you don't need to draw a tattoo or pierce your nose or belly or wear unnecessary beads on your waist, etc to show that you are beautiful or classy....a beautiful lady doesn't need much external accessories or drawings to look beautiful....the more unnecessary accessories you put on as a lady, the more you limit your opportunities and chances in life (both in career growth and getting a worthy man of honor as partner).

Celebrities may do those worldly things and get away with it because they are financially free for life and may never need to work for anybody or any organization and maybe because they need to do those things to get more brand endorsements and fans, not that they are doing them because its the best lifestylye.

People really need to understand these things.

Just sit her down and talk to her, make her understand the things you can accept and cannot accept, make her understand you have boundaries and limits and if she refuses to listen, I think she is not ready to walk the road with you then

Lagos is more like one bedroom apartment with 50 persons living inside, there won't be breathing space.

If only every other state could develop and have strong economy like Lagos to discongest the state.

Wherever you go to within Lagos state ,you see people in the evening trooping home like everyone is running back to the village during the war time.
It is the responsibility of government to create the next hub to decongest Lagos state by building solid infrastructures and business support facilities that will force people to leave Lagos to other states.

Take a look at Apapa, Tincan area, the government ought to have declared an emergency on the issue of Apapa seaport.

Get other seaports outside Lagos working fully at all cost.

Create seaports in Ondo, Anambra and connect them by rail with Lagos, Portharcourt and Abuja. Help other states develop so industries can naturally relocate their factories to those other states and watch people naturally leave Lagos for good.

Nigerian government seem not to be ready to put Nigeria on roadmap to national prosperity
