In as much I don't like talking about this matter,you cannot be too sure their problem was Lola or her tribe. The last time I checked, Paul wife is not Igbo. None of them has officially said Lola separated them. My take is their problem was money but Lola was vocal about it since she's knows the business but the other brothers do not want wives getting involved while Peter wants his wife involvement because he doesn't know much about the finances and feels cheated if wife is not there.

A former American diplomat Kathryn Berck, has revealed that 44.9% of applications by Nigerians for nonimmigrant B visas to the US were rejected in 2017. She also revealed the reasons for the high rejection rate.

In a post on popular Q&A site www.Quora.com monitored by ZikistMovement.com she said;

“Unfortunately, there are far too many Nigerians who have learned that the only way to get what they want is to make up stories and to buy and present fraudulent and counterfeit documents in order to get what they want.

“I’ve worked in Lagos and know that there are many, many smart, honest, sophisticated and honorable Nigerians everywhere, in all levels of society.

“But those who practice fraud overwhelm their numbers – at least, in the queue in front of the US consulate.

“Last year (2017) the nonimmigrant B visa refusal rate for Nigerians was 44.95%. It’s too bad, but that’s how it is.”

In a similar post, the former diplomat also had this to say on the issue:

“If you mean, “Why are Nigerian US visa applicants always refused” the answer is, they aren’t.

“In 2017, only 44.95% of Nigerian applicants for US nonimmigrant visas were refused. That is less than half. Why were they refused? They could not convince a US consular officer that they intended to visit the US only briefly, for a rational reason, and then go home again. Part of that inability to convince was due to false/forged/counterfeited documents, and lies of what I call kindergarten quality.

“It’s too bad that many honest Nigerians are stymied by the dishonesty of others, but it is what it is.”

One of the aides to the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, identified as Yusuf Adabenege has been assassinated by unknown gunmen.

Mr Adabenege was murdered in cold blood on Friday at about 6:30pm around Oro Obehira-Ege road in Okene Local Government Area of the State.

The deceased is also the custodian of Aneku Okuku Cementi of Obehira and the leader of Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) Initiative.

Following his death, security agencies have been placed at all strategic points in the local government.

According to available information, the deceased was ambushed at the front of Living Faith Church, Okuha Anatahu Okene Obehira road by the yet to be identified gunmen.

He was said to have been killed through a hand grenade which hit him on the head.

The gunmen also fired at his vehicle which resulted in the immediate death of his driver, who was later identified as Musa.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has urged the people of Ebira land to maintain law and order as perpetrators of the heinous crime will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

John Abayomi, Online Editor for Punch newspapers, has threatened a lawsuit against the publisher of Linda Ikeji blog, Linda Ikeji, for publishing false and malicious story about him.

Abayomi through his lawyer, Falana and Falana’s Chambers claimed that the publication with the headline, ‘LIB Exclusive: Meet the owner of Instablog9ja-John Abayomi’ has put his life and that of his family in danger.

In the letter delivered to the blogger on Friday, Ikeji was asked to tender an unreserved apology within forty-eight hours or risk legal action.

Linda in the said publication had claimed that ‘the owner of instablog9ja is John Abayomi, a former online editor of Vanguard news and current online editor of Punch’.

However, Falana said the statement is untrue and unfounded, but only calculated to lower Abayomi’s esteem and damage his reputation and professional career.

“Your publication has put him in the harm’s way, thereby endangering his life and the lives of his family members. It has also attracted a lot of negative reactions from members of the public including celebrities who has been eager to know the face behind the blunt and sarcastic blog because of the method of reportage”.

“Your mendacious publication was clearly actuated by malice in that it was deliberately done to portray our client as an imposter, a fraudster and a blackmailer”

“In the light of the foregoing, we have our client’s firm instructions to demand an unqualified apology together with a retraction of the libelous publication in the edition of your blog (Linda Ikeji blog) in addition to having the retraction published on Instagram.

“However, if you fail or refuse to accede to our client’s demands within 48 hours of the receipt of this letter, we shall have no option than to initiate civil proceedings against you at the Lagos State High Court without further recourse to you,” reads the letter which was signed by Chukwuma Onwuemene (ESQ.).

A reliable source has also rubbished reports that Abayomi was summoned to a meeting by his employers, Punch Newspapers, over Linda Ikeji’s publication.

“It is totally untrue. There was no such meeting. John is a top-notch professional and everybody close to him, including his employers, are aware that Linda Ikeji’s publication was completely untrue,” the source said.
