It’s very obvious they care less and it’s so sad and disturbing. Please and please stay safe.

If you listened to Ruth's message during the press conference, i could not believe she never mentioned the Hca's that died...... She simply casted them apart like some irrelevants!!!! (i felt for their families).........

Truly heartbreaking.......

I just pray and hope depression doesn’t set in with this isolation. It just looks like ghost town around me.

Apt. Didn’t get a job until after 9 months that seemed to last for an eternity. It’s frustrating to be in that position.

beryour:
Dnt be discouraged, some people get jobs after just a month while some do not until after 12 months or more...you are not alone on this table.

You should keep on with your application, try re-modify your CV and cover letter. You could also try to get some store or locals jobs, for now, to keep you going.

You think examiners want to die like runaway fowl being driven by a stanger with a massive L? Safety first! Most of the driving school cars have been adapted somehow with extra pedals on the passengers side. This is to ensure that when tension grab you after 10 minutes of your driving test, they are capable of controlling the situation. For example, when I did mine, after approximately five mins, the examiner slammed the brakes. He did that couple of times before the end of the test. As soon as the examiner does that, you might as well park on the pavement and go home.

Thanks a lot. Was just sulking at work today grin. Finally got a date for next week. I’ll make sure I tie all loose ends. Hopefully it’s gonna be the second and last attempt so I can move on to the next stage.

fatima04:

You actually did well in the theory part, so no need to feel sad. With hazard perception try and practise as often.as possible and click at least twice when you spot an hazard so you can get either 5 or 3. Nothing more than practice make perfect. All the best

Thanks a lot

Theory test Pro.

Purchase the pro version on your mobile for 5 pounds.

And that would be the best way to practice both hazard and theory test. Good luck

I used the app to prepare as I do not have a CD player. As a matter of fact, I think I didn’t click enough cos I was being too careful to spot the hazard before clicking. Phewww. Trying to book another test. Earliest is 20th, feels like a long wait. Just wana be done with it.

spacyzuma:

Sorry.
I don't think you woefully failed, as you did well in the multiple choice segment.
You may have clicked too many times in the hazard perception.
What did you use to prepare for the test?

I bought the DVLA training CD and I used it to prepare for mine, so I knew how to click correctly.

Practice the hazard perception test here: https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/practice-hazard-perception-test

All the best in your next.

So I woefully failed my theory and hazard perception test today despite preparing well(or so I thought). Gonna book another in three days but I just don’t know where I went wrong cos I tried hard not to click too many times in the hazard perception part. Any tips to help me prepare better please ? I feel so sad.

Waoh. Congratulations

Happy new year Everyone

fatima04:
For some reasons I forgot to share my driving testimony here. So here it goes to encourage someone.

I passed on the 5th attempts after giving up for more than 6 months. My first exam was December 2018 and I w
d. Made sure I was really calm like what is the worst that can happen.

On that beautiful day in October, I did my test and passed with 3 minors. I was over the moon, typing this months after sef I still feel like its a huge achievement and load off.

Thank you to all who encouraged me to never give up. To all still struggling to pass, just dont give up and your hardwork would soon come to fruition

Too many twist and turns + complications. I think it's best you seek proper legal advice from an immigration consultant/solicitor.......

Admiral sends weekly emails grading your driving from that device.
The first week, I only drove to/from work and a few places, and I got the Gold rating (other ratings are silver and bronze).
Then I drove to Manchester and I regularly drove at 80-90mph on the M74, M6, M62...and my rating dropped to Bronze.

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated ma’am.

Admiral prices not bad and I used them for years .....but if u have any accident whether it's your fault or no fault the way the premium runs up to the sky is annoying . More annoying when it's a non fault and they want to charge you an arm and a leg

As someone who just did first car insurance a few weeks ago, here are my tips:

- You need to spend some time with comparison websites. Go Compare, Compare the Market, uSwitch, Money Supermarket. here's a lot of info about yourself and the car that you'll need to input in each to get a list of different quotes.

- Some of these sites will make you spend a long time putting in details, and then they'll ask you to input your name, address, email, phone number to get the quotes. If you can put in fake details, do so.

- If you have already bought the car, or know the car you want to buy, get as much detail about it. exact car model, Reg No, mileage, Insurance group, security features, etc. The more info you have, and the more accurate the info is...the better your quotes will be.

- Some car insurance companies (like Aviva) don't appear on these comparison sites. You'll have to visit their own sites to get quotes.

- As a first time buyer, just prepare your mind for at least £1000. The quotes you get can vary from £750 to £2500. I got quotes of £2k+ with aviva grin

I got a good deal with Admiral BlackBox car insurance. It required me to attach a small device to my car which they use to monitor my driving. They sent the box within 5 days but you can start driving as soon as you buy the insurance and get the email. The deal cost £880 (if I paid one time) or a total of about £950 (if I paid monthly).

Cheers.

Make I add mouth to wetin Aunty Mamatukwas talk........

As a 1st timer, do yourself a big favour by buying a small engine displacement vehicle and upgrade it accordingly......

Your post code also helps + vehicle purpose + mileage expected to do, during insurance terms......

Thanks a lot.

Mamatukwas:

Short Answer: Good deal for 1st timers does not exist! Just pay up and look ahead.

Long answer: Use comparison websites to try and get the best deal. It will still be high laslas but online seems cheaper.

Don’t worry it gets lower as the years pass. Cheers.

You’ll get used to it with time. It was really difficult for me at first too but I wasn’t at any point shy to ask em to repeat if I didn’t get what was said at first. Don’t worry bout it.

Just migrated to the Uk and I'm kinda finding it difficult to grab some of the things they speak, especially with those that speak quite fast. Is it just me or what?, kinda frustrating sometimes..
